This is my second sneak peek using one of the soon to be released sets from MFT. It is called A Scarf For Three, and is my FAVORITE image from Stephanie Fizer so far!! I used my SU markers to color it in after stamping it on watercolor paper with Stazon ink. I added some liquid applique to the hats to make them poofy, as well as the earmuffs. The DP is all retired SU and was run through my Cuttlebug with the Snowflakes folder. I added some silver brads, ribbon, and spiral clips to dress it up. The rest is pretty self explanatory, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!! Be sure to check out the MFT gallery on SCS or go to my sidebar and visit the other MFT girls to see what they have cooked up!! Thanks for stopping by again and have a great day!!

Go Jodi, Go Jodi, GO GO GO Jodi!!

So, my friend Jodi(kharmagirl) is hosting the color challenge over on SCS this week, and she is SO excited( I totally would be too!!)!!! For today's challenge, she has chosen Baja Breeze, Really Rust, and Chocolate Chip. She gave me a heads up for the challenge so that I could post a sample along with hers. I used the soon to be released Falling For You image being released at Paper Pretties on Wednesday October 1st. We will also be having our Stampin In Your Jammies party that night at 7pmCST. There will be chatter, challenges, and lots of fun!!! Also, you have until tomorrow to sign up for the Stamp of the Month Club in order to get Angel Wings Sophia before she is released to the public, be sure to tell them that I sent ya!! And last, but not least, our Cutie Pie contest ends tomorrow at 8pm CST. Be sure to get your creations uploaded to the Paper Pretties gallery under Cutie Pie submissions to be entered to win three Sophia stamps including- Howdy Girlfriend, Falling For You, and the supah cute new Whiskers Sophia. My card today is made with the Falling For You stamp set. I stamped it on watercolor paper with Brilliance Graphite Black. After drying the ink with my heat gun, I used my SU markers as well as a blender pen and reinker to color my image. It was then cut out with my Oval Nesties and layered with the challenge colors. The DP is from Bella Rose(the chocolate) and Fall Flowers by SU. I added some large silver brads, silver clips with SU ribbon, and some wide Chocolate Chip stitched ribbon. I did a lot of piercing on this card too....love it!!
That is it for me now! I will be back later with another teaser for the MFT release, trust me, you don't want to miss it!

Ready To Be TEASED!!

So, how excited am I??? This is my FIRST official release as an MFT Sistah, and I couldn't be happier!! So, here is the scoop--My Favorite Things (http://www.mftstamps.com/) is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, October 1 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are SIX new sets being released, plus a new storage system for your MFT stamps that you are gonna love!Head over to the MFT forum on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ to find out all the details and to find out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. We hope to see you there on Wednesday night!!
Now, those of you that come her often, or at least recently, know that the Paper Pretties PJ party is also on Wednesday night...YIKES!! So, I will be scurrying about like a chicken with my head cut off trying to keep up with both. Of course, that is AFTER I return home from my hair appointment that silly me scheduled for that evening too...FUN for me(not)!! SO anyway, her is my FIRST peek at what is to come on Wednesday for MFT!! This is a new set designed by the SUPER talented Stephanie Fizer. It is called Peppermint Cats. I used my aqua painter and Baja Breeze re-inker to color the background and my SU markers to color my cats. The cats were stamped twice and cut out so that they would have some dimension. I paper pieced the bottom with some Deja View's paper and also used it on the background. I added a spiral clip with some ribbon from Deja View's that coordinates with the paper. The white panel was run through my Cuttlebug with the Snowflakes folder, but I didn't go all the way down to the bottom, that way the sentiment wouldn't be all lumpy. I added some silver brads and it was done!! The colors besides Baja Breeze on this card are Riding Hood Red and Always Artichoke. That is it for me now, sorry I was MIA this weekend...those girls and a last minute shopping trip with my in-laws sure took a lot out of me!! Have a great day, and if I get a chance, I will show you some more stuff later today!!

Cuteness Alert!!

So, if I haven't mentioned it before, Paper Pretties is in the process of switching from clear to rubber stamps. Due to this transition, as we get new images, they will be added to the store as they come in. Why am I telling you this? Well, this SUPAH CUTE Whiskers Sophia will be on sale in the Prettie Boutique starting tomorrow!! YAYYY! Isn't she adorable!! To color her in, I used my SU markers. Then I layered her with Rose Red, Basic Grey and Basic Black. The DP is from the SU Creepy Crawly Pack. I wanted to make sure the web was on the card, so I cut it from the top corner( so no, that isn't a stamp, although it would be cool). I added some yummy ribbon(all SU), white brads, piercing, and then added my sentiment panel. I just LOVE her!!
Don't forget to enter the Cutie Pie contest, you have until 8pmEST on September 30th. Just upload your card to the Paper Pretties gallery under Cutie Pie submissions to be considered. The winner will receive Whiskers, Howdy Girlfriend, and Falling For You Sophia.
Also, we are having our Stampin In Your Jammies party on Wednesday, October 1st. It will be held in the Paper Pretties forum starting at 7pmCST. We will have challenges, prizes, chatter and LOTS of fun!!

Weekend Sketch Challenge and the IC

ETA: I forgot that I used this photo from the IC to help get me inspired!! Great inspiration piece this week, you should totally check it out!!

Hi everyone!! Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start!! I was going to go to bed early, but here I am, stamping away!! Of course, I am not working on anything that I really NEED to get done, but, sometimes, you just have to stamp for yourself..kwim??!! I wanted to participate in Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge, so I decided that I would start there. I stamped my image from Pocket Silhouettes with Bravo Burgundy and Pink Pirouette on Sahara Sand CS. I cut it and it's layers out with my Classic Circle Nestabilities. I then added a some piercing, and the sentiment, which was punched out with my word window punch. The DP on this card is from the new Parisian Summer DSP. I LOVE the colors in this one, don't you?? I have to say, I am not a HUGE fan of Blah-vo Burgundy, but it really works here. I added some white taffeta and silver brads from SU. The large silver brads were a gift from my pal Jackie(strappystamper). The grosgrain ribbon is from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts. That is it for me now, my nieces are coming to stay the night tomorrow after I get done working at the PO , so wish me luck...I am gonna need it!!

Charmed...I'm Sure!

So, today's Ways to Use it challenge was to use a charm on your card. I honestly didn't think that I had any, so I wasn't going to play. While working on some samples for the next My Favorite Things release, I ran across these heart lock and key charms I got as a door prize at the last swap I went too...score!! I decided to make a card for my future SIL shower which is the 4th of October. They are getting married in November and are going with all Fall colors. I don't know about you, but I think this is perfect for a fall bride...IMHO, LOL!! I stamped the bride from She's All That with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, which I then embossed with clear embossing powder. I used my Rectangle Nestabilities to cut it and the layers out. I added spiral clips with some gingham ribbon from Offray and chocolate satin from American Crafts. The rust ribbon is some I got from a share with Jody(texasjodylynn). I added some white brads from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts and then pierced a border around the card and the main image. That is it for me now!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Happy Fall

Isn't this birdhouse and little birdie so CUTE!! It is from the new Harvest Blessings Anna Wight set from Whipper Snapper. The sentiment is from her other new release Give Thanks. These sets were released on the 15th, so if you don't already have them, RUN don't walk, to the Whipper Snapper website and get them now!!!LOL!! They really are super cute, and the Give Thanks set has a ton of wonderful sentiments in it. I stamped the birdhouse on white card stock with Black Stazon and colored it in with my SU markers. The bird was stamped separately and cut out, only because I stamped it next the bird house as an afterthought, and it was crooked..DOH!! So I decided to pop him up after coloring and make some movement marks...so now he is shaking a tail feather.....hehehe!! Anyway, I STILL have no clue where this paper came from, but I do love the beautiful colors in it. I layered it with Old Olive, Bravo Burgundy and Pumpkin Pie. I used some wide Burgundy grosgrain with some pumpkin ribbon on top of it, and then added my sentiment with a silver brad. I decided to use several of the word window punched tags so that it would give it some color. A little paper piecing, some more silver brads and it was done!! That is it for me now, unless by some miracle my nephew actually allows me to do something besides hold and feed him today!! Wish me luck!!

Prettie Wednesday-Monochromatic

So, here lately, especially since I made a permanent picture area, I haven't been all that good about cleaning up my work space(if anyone has seen the lid to my aqua painter, could you let me know). I used to have to clean between every card that I made, but got a second ott light, and since then, I have been stamping in a 6x6 space with junk piled up around me!! I finally cleaned it up this morning but I made this card last night before I did.....why am I telling you this?? Well, I used the stuff that was still out on my desk to make it!!
This is Angel Wings Sophia, and she is next months Stamp of the Month over at Paper Pretties. You have until September 30th at midnight to get signed up for the Paper Pretties Stamp of The Month Club. In my opinion, this is the BEST way to get your collection of Pretties started if you haven't already!! Also, we are going to be having our monthly Stamping in Your Jammies party on October 1st at 7pmCST. There will be the usual challenges every hour, friendly chatter, and loads of fun. We sure hope you will join us and play along!! ALSO, this months Cutie Pie contest has started, and you have until the 30th of September to enter it too. Just upload your creation to the Paper Pretties gallery under Cutie Pie submissions to be entered!!

Anyway, LOL, I used an aqua painter and re inker to color my Sophia in for today. Two weeks ago, Jana, challenged us to do a monochromatic card, so since it was still out, I used Kiwi Kiss for mine. The top panel was run through my Cuttlebug with the textile folder and the bottom is some Bella Rose DSP. I added some ribbon, brads, spiral clips, you know....and it was done! This card is on it's way today to Charmaine, I sure hope she loves it. Be sure to play along, and if you do, leave us a link because we would love to see it!! This weeks challenger is Danielle, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us! Be sure to blurf around and see what the other Pretties have cooked up!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

An Upsy Daisy Sketch

So, I was up late working on my nephew's birth announcements, and I saw that the sketch challenge was posted.....yes, I was stalking it, in fact I was the first person to comment, sad but true. I decided that I would go ahead and try to play tonight, since tomorrow is Prettie Wednesday, and I LOVE my card for it( I will post it in the morning)!! I used my new Upsy Daisy set along with my Washington Apple DSP. The sentiment is from the SU Hostess set, Best Yet. I stamped the daisies in Riding Hood Red. There was a lot of piercing, silver brads, and three different ribbons, and it was pretty much done. This was a super simple card, and I don't know that I am thrilled with it, but I love the paper, the colors, and all the brads, so I am sure by morning I will love the card too. Now, I SERIOUSLY need to get to bed!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Breezy Vanilla Skies, Take 2

Okay, so here is the OTHER card that popped in my head when I saw this color combo( as I said before, a TOTAL rarity). I used my FAVORITE image from Paper Pretties, Simply Special. What I LOVE about this image is the fact that you can use it for just about any occasion, whether it is a birthday, sympathy, thinking of you, it just works...am I right!! Right now, all the Designer Paper is on sale for 50%off at Paper Pretties, so if you haven't checked THAT out, be sure to do so!! Anyway..I stamper the watering can twice, once on vanilla and once on my Bella Rose DP. I then cut out the can and used my re-inkers and an aqua painter to color the rest of the image. The flower was stamped separately too, colored, cut out, and glued on. I used my circle nesties to cut it out, and layered it with Kiwi and Baja Breeze. I realized I hadn't been using my organdy ribbon much lately, so I got out the vanilla organdy I have been hoarding for years, and tied a big yummy bow. You can just barely see my sentiment at the bottom. I swear to you all, I had both of these cards done in less than an hour...how awesome is that!!
That is it for me again, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Be sure to get your entries in for the Cutie Pie contest for Paper Pretties. All entries need to be uploaded to the Paper Pretties Cutie Pie contest gallery by 8pm September 30th. This months winner will receive THREE Sophia stamps, Howdy Girlfriend, Falling For You, and a never seen before Whiskers stamp...can't WAIT for that!! So, be sure to get your entries in....more details about our Jammies party and all the goings on at Paper Pretties tomorrow in my Prettie Wednesday post!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Breezy Vanilla Kisses, Part One

When I saw the color combo this morning, I KNEW I wanted to participate(by the way, I was TOTALLY stalking the challenge, I saw it as SOON as she put it up..sick, I know!!). How GORGEOUS is it!! I instantly had two cards pop in my mind...which rarely happens. I am going to feature the first one here, and then the other one in a post of its own. This first one used my Eastern Blooms SU set, which is one of my faves!! I stamped the branch twice with Kiwi Kiss and then pierced the edges. It is layered with Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze. I didn't MEAN to have a sentiment panel, but my sentiment went on crooked, so I had to adjust!! I use my oval punches and some vanilla brads from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts. The flower was stamped with Baja Breeze, cut out and then I used a bone folder to curve it. Then I used a build a brad with some yummy Bella Rose paper for the center of it. The long panel is some more Bella Rose DSP and it is layered with the BB. The rest is pretty simple, although now that it is together, I really wish I had embossed it. By the way, if you HAVEN'T purchased this yummy kiwi ribbon, DO IT NOW!! It is GORGEOUS!! I almost forgot to say that this fabulous sketch is Jen's Sketch For You To Try from this past Saturday...I just now finally got to it!!

Thanks for stopping by, I will be back with another one ASAP!!

Who's That Girl Monday- Time For the Bubbly

So, have you heard about what's going on in the MFT forum on SCS? Everyday there are different events, with Monday's being the Who's That Girl challenge. This weeks challenge was hosted by Toni(toners100), and the challenge was to use Time For the Bubbly, four brads, and one piece of ribbon. The main color has to be blue too!! WHAT?? Obviously they don't realize how ADDICTED to my brads and ribbon I am. It was REALLY hard to limit myself, but I did do it. I stamped my main image on watercolor paper and on some Not Quite Navy DP. I cut out just the wallpaper and paper pieced it. The rest of the image was colored with my SU markers, except for the mirror which was colored with a silver glitter pen. I also added some glitter to the bubbles and then covered the mirror and the bathtub with some crystal effects. The More Mustard DP on my card is from the SU hostess pack along with the Not Quite Navy that I used. I made my scallops with my SU scallop punch and pierced the edges. That is it for me now...back to stalking the color challenge thread!!LOL!! Be sure to check out the MFT member forum for all the details on our new themed days!! Also, don't forget to check out Carolyn's Blog Candy, it is awesome!!

You Go Girl!!

Today's Featured Stamper is Shannon(e3stamper), and what a stamper she is!! Not only is she a talented stamper, she is also a super sweetie who leaves the best comments. I chose this card of hers to CASE. I changed everything but the layout, but I didn't mean to this time. I forgot about the sentiment, so my paper was to dark and I had to add it as another panel. I tried my ribbon the way she had it, but it looked better like this, so I went with it. Plus, seriously, I HAD to add brads to it..SERIOUSLY(anyone else as EXCITED about the return of Greys Anatomy as I am??)!! This main image and sentiment are for my SUPAH CUTE new set, Harvest Blessings, from Whipper Snapper. They were just released a week ago and they are TO DIE FOR!! They were designed by the fabulous Anna Wight, who along with the owners of Whipper Snapper, asked me to be Featured Designer this month!! I can't tell you how excited I am to be working with them, and SweetMissDaisy herself, she is amazing!! I stamps Sally the Scarecrow(not officially her name, but I want to be sure that there is no confusion that she is a girl, see the dress) on white cardstock with Black Stazon ink. I then colored her in with my SU markers and layered her with some Really Rust, Bravo Burgandy, and Chocolate Chip paper. The paper is some from my ever growing stack of paper scraps that will soon take over my whole stamp area if I don't start to use them. With that said, I have no clue where it came from because it's a scrap, sorry!I added a bunch of piercing, copper brads, and some yummy wide stitched Chocolate Chip ribbon. The sentiment was stamped and then punched out with my SU oval punches.

Well, that is it for me now...I have about 70 baby announcements to make, and he isn't getting any younger!!LOL!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Don't forget to check out my last post to see how you can be entered to win the biggest blog candy giveaway ever(next post)!!

World Alzheimers Day

Today is World Alzheimer's Day, and if you don't know someone affected by this terrible disease, well consider yourself lucky and part of the minority. Truth is over 5 million people suffer from this debilitating disease, and that is not counting the family, friends and loved ones that suffer along with them. A few weeks ago, my pal Carolyn King(cammie) who lost her grandmother this summer to complications from this disease, decided that she was going to do something to help the cause. First she designed this super cute set for Gina K. Designs. It is called Whimsical Autumn, and ALL of her commissions from the set are being donated to the Alzheimer's foundation. Next, as if that wasn't enough, she has quite literally, arranged the BIGGEST BLOG CANDY EVER!!! Carolyn is offering up this HUGE amount of blog candy to ONE lucky person!! Awesome right......there is a catch, and lets face it...it is the LEAST we can all do!! Be sure to check out her blog for more details about how you can enter to win and to see all the fabulousness that she has had donated to her giveaway. I was honored when she contacted me a few weeks ago and asked for a donation. All she asked from me is a card with the back signed by me to include as a prize. Of course, I couldn't just send a card, so I sent this whole pile of goodies!! Most of it is stuff I have duplicates of, because, well...I am addicted!! SOOO, be sure to go check out her blog and do your part to support this worthy cause, and just think, you could be the lucky winner of this AMAZING pile of GOODNESS!! Don't stampers just rock!!!

PHEWWW!!!

I said I was gonna post all my awards I had received, and by golly, I am gonna do it! Of course, I had no idea there were this many!! I may have missed someone, PLEASE don't take it personally, I just went through my last two months worth of posts looking for comments telling me that they gave me an award and my head is spinning!! This first award I received from Pam(yorkiemom), andTerry(TERRORE3) . Thanks so much ladies, I totally appreciate it!!

The second award that I received came from Laurel. Her blog is gorgeous and so is her work!! Thanks so much Laurel!!

I have received this award from a few different people. Melissa Bove, Monika(buszy), Carolina(craftycaro), and Lee(luvlee). They all gave it to me over a MONTH ago, but I am JUST now getting it posted...what can I say...I'm sorry!! Since it has been forever, I am not going to nominate anyone, I just wanted them to know that I totally appreciate them thinking of me and giving me this award, sorry it took so long to post it!! Shameful!
I also received the Brilliante Award(already in my sidebar) from my pal Debbie over at Debbies Doodles and my pal Linsey(scraperlinsey). She is so super sweet and talented!! Since it is already over there, I will spare you the second picture!! Thanks Debbie, I think you are pretty Brilliante yourself!!
Okay, so by now you probably have picked up that I haven't posted rules or anything like that, and I know that isn't the way you are supposed to play, but do you realize how many people I would have to nominate to pass all these on???CRAZY!!! So, I just wanted to let them ALL know, that I appreciate the awards and I send them out to anyone reading my blog...I do this all for you(maybe a little for me, but definitely for you all too!!)!!

Some Raks!!

Here are some fabulous RAK's I received from some of my blogging friends!! The first one is from my BFF Jodi(kharmagirl). This is the card that she made for me when I was the featured stamper. It looks great in the picture, but trust me, in real life, this thing is GORGEOUS!! I love that MFT set and the button and flowers are amazing!! Thanks Jodi, you know I luv ya!!
This next card is from my pal Silke Ledlow(sparklegirl). I met Silke through SCS. She does the challenges religiously like I do, and after awhile, it is only natural to get to know the person a little. I am a huge fan of hers and I love everything that she does, EVERYTHING!! This is the card she made for me when I was featured stamper and it ROCKS!! She filled the package full of bling too, what's not to love!! Thanks so much Silke, I LOVE it!!

My final card comes from my pal Carolina(craftycaro). She has been so good to me since I met her through SCS. Not only has she showered me with gifts, cards, and support, she is also showering my nephew Jared with love too!! This card came in the mail with the cutest Halloween bib for him. Thanks Carolina, both the card and bib, and your friendship mean so much to me!!

Celebrating MFT Day!!

First of all, I wanted to pass along this note from MFT's fearless, and extremely AWESOME leader, Kim.
"As many of you know, Cammie introduced her Whimsical Autumn set through Gina K. Designs earlier this month, and is donating all her proceeds to an Alzheimer’s charity in memory of the Grandmother she lost to this disease a few months back. My Father suffered from Dementia, of which Alzheimer’s is a form, during the last few years of his life. It was truly painful to watch him morph into someone so completely different and unreachable. I really have empathy for those whose loved ones are afflicted, it is so overwhelming.Cammie is having a HUGE blog candy extravaganza in honor of National Alzheimer’s Day on Sept 21st. Be sure to check it out!I thought I’d like to help raise some funds as well in support of the cause, so what I’ve decided to do is two-fold: 1) Starting tomorrow, I am offering a 10% discount on ALL stamps on the site. Use the coupon code Cammie at checkout to receive 10% off all the stamps in your shopping cart. (It won’t discount your other merchandise, just stamps.) The coupon code will run from Wednesday, Sept 17th to Sunday, Sept 21st. 2) I will donate 10% of ALL proceeds (including money spent on other items on the site) to the National Alzheimer’s Association. FYI - The discount applies only to retail orders…"
With that out of the way, Today is the 20th of the month, so that makes it "Celebrating My Favorite Things Day". Why you ask, well, since the release is the first Wednesday of the month, by the 20th all your new stamps should be in your hot little hands and ready to get inky!! I used this weeks MFT sketch challenge for my card. I love these little bath tub images from MFT, they are just too cute!! This one is one of my favorites called Be Calm....don't we all need a little "calm" in our lives?? I think so!! I colored my image with my SU markers and the shower head and pipe with a silver glitter pen. I then layered it with Pale Plum. The larger layer is Perfect Plum and was cut out using my square nestabilities. It was then run through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss dots folder. The DP is from the SU retired paper pack Enchante. I did all my normal "embellishing" and it was done!! I have a ton of stamping to do, and I actually have some ideas to work with, wish me luck!!
stamps-Be Calm
paper-Pale Plum, Perfect Plum. Whisper White, and Enchate DSP
ink-Brilliance Black
tools-silver brads, spiral clips, white taffeta, Su markers, silver pen, swiss dots folder, Cuttlebug, Prima sprites, square nestabilities

A tag...the first of many...

So, I am totally behind on posting all the tags that I have received. Tomorrow, besides actually stamping, it is my goal to get all of them done, but for now, I will do the most recent. Why you ask...well, it is from my BFF Jodi, and when I said that I would TRY to get them answered, she sent a message back that wasn't very nice, or patient!!LOL!! The first part I won't repeat, but the last said..."answer the questions Rone...."!! To that I say, YES MAAMMM!!! LOL!! (ETA Jodi is not a mean person, so don't think she is!!! She was totally joking!!)
So this is how it goes!!
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So here goes!!
1. I own four umbrellas but refuse to use them. They sound good to me in theory, but to actually use them, too much work!
2. I recently went from no job(yayy) to working 6 days a week. Now I know what you are thinking, cuddling a 3 month old all week long isn't work in the four letter word sense, but work none the less!
3. I own at least 50 stamps that have never since a drop of ink...shameful!
4. I treat my dog Sophie as if she was my kid...my dh and I even call ourselves Mommy and Daddy. Sick right??!!
5. I love to read but can not read the same book twice. However, if I like a movie, I can watch it 1000 times and never get bored by it.
6. I am addicted to brads and spiral clips, which I am about to run out of and couldn't be more sad...Where oh where did I buy those things???
7. I cry, a lot...I mean a WHOLE lot....my poor DH, sometimes he just looks at me confused because he has no idea why or what to say. It is never a sad cry, I just feel for people, more than I would think is normal. I hear a situation and imagine if it were happening to me, and I can cry buckets.

Okay, that is enough random blah blah blah from me. Here is my list of bloggers I want to pass this on to. Yep you guessed it...all you pretties out there, STAND UP and answer the questions!!LOL!!

Butterfly Hello

I have been super busy this week, so I decided to try to combine a couple of challenges today. I struggled with the first card that I made, so I am totally not going to show that one yet...I just don't know what to do with it at this point, but I am NOT throwing it away, I worked WAY to long on it!! So tonight, when I finally gave up and decided that I was going to go to bed, I got inspired to make a card finally, figures right? So, I used the sketch from this Wednesday and today's Ways to Use it challenge, to use a silhouette stamp. The stamps used on this are from my pal Jessica's new company, There She Goes. I stamped the Butterfly twice with Sage Shadow for the solid part and then Chocolate Chip for the detail. I cut them out and popped them up on a panel where I have stamped the leafy vine silhouette stamp, pierced the edges and sponged them with Chocolate Chip ink. The layers are the reverse side of the DP(couldn't find matching colors) and Chocolate Chip. I added some spiral clips with chocolate taffeta and chocolate gingham. The background is Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, and the DP is from Crate Paper and is part of the Seaweed collection. I pierced and sponged the edges, and since I can't make a card without brads, I added a bunch!!
Well, that is it for me now! HOPEFULLY, I will be back tomorrow with some more inspiration!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Prettie Wednesday- ATC

Two weeks ago, Charmaine challenged the Prettie Girls to make an ATC. I gotta say, I haven't made one of these in years, and I honestly couldn't remember what size they were supposed to be...I even had to look it up!! How great is that!! I used a Tangerine Tango base and layered it with Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, and some Chatterbox DP. I used my SU punches to punch out my turtle, which was colored with my blender pen and ink pad as well as my SU markers. The sentiment is from the SU Love and Happiness rub ons. I added some white brads, some tangerine gingham ribbon and it was done. Oh ya, I did add some crystal effects to the turtle shell to make it shiny!!
Be sure to blurf around and check out what the other prettie girls have been up to!! Since it is my turn to challenge the other girls, I would like to do an inspiration challenge, but the catch is that you get to chose what you are inspired by. Find a picture, or whatever and be sure to link it to your post. I can't wait to see what everyone finds!!

That is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Cuddle Me Meets Bella Rose

I don't know about you all, but I LOVE the new paper from SU!! All of the new DP's are on my "want" list, including stocking up on this yummy Bella Rose DSP(just in case they try to take it away). My card features the Paper Pretties stamp, Cuddle Me. She is by far my favorite of my Sophias, something about her cuddling that little bear is just so cute! I paper pieced her dress and hair bow and colored the rest of her with my SU markers. I cut her, and my Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red layers with my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities. I added all my normal stuff, you know, lots of ribbon, brads and spiral clips(oh my...hehe), and of course don't forget the piercing and embossing with my swiss dots folder. Sorry for the short post, I am up way past my bed time, and I have to get up earlier than normal to go take care of my nephew at his house. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!

Some More Big News!!!

So, about a month ago I received an email from none other than SweetMissDaisy herself asking little ol me if I would want to be a guest designer for her for the next two months....good thing I wasn't home alone or I may have died right where I sat all alone!!! HOLY COW!!! I can't even begin to tell you what a HUGE fan of her stamps that I am, and of Anna Wight herself.

She takes the most amazing photos and illustrates some of the cutest stamps I have ever seen. It is an honor and a pleasure to work with her for these next couple of months...I just hope someone doesn't wake me up from this dream!!

Three sets were released today on the Whipper Snapper website. My card was made using the new Give Thanks set. I stamped my tree with Chocolate Chip craft ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I colored the leaves in with my SU markers and then layered it with Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke, and Chocolate Chip. The DP is from the SU Bella Rose Pack. The buttons are from SU, except for the brown one. It is actually a clear button with a piece of Bella Rose DP adhered to it, and then embossed to make it look glossy. I added a bunch of different ribbons, piercing, and brads.

Be sure to check out what my fellow guest designers have created, along with Anna herself!!

DUUUHHH, of COURSE you can!! So, naive little me, who has been DESPERATELY trying to get My Favorite Things to notice me and make me a design team member, REALLY thought that she just wanted to know something about my card. That wasn't why she called, she called to invite me to be a design team member- CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!! I am so super excited, and having met a lot of the MFT girls when I went to the swap in Arlington Texas back in May, I am so honored to be a part of such a wonderful and fun group!! So, for my first card as an official MFT design team member, I decided to play along with the first challenge. It is the Who's That Girl challenge, and the challenge was to use the Rain or Shine set along with some bling!! So, I stamped my main image from that set with Black Stazon on watercolor paper. I then colored it with my SU markers. The raincoat, dogs coat, and boots were paper pieced with some Apricot Appeal DP. The image was layered with Celery and Apricot layers cut out with my Nesties. I added some white brads with some sparkle added to them to each corner of the image and of the main card. The panel under the main image is some more AA DP with some glitter dots added to it. I added some spiral clips with ribbon to it too. The smaller circle panel is the separate boot stamp in that set, with the boots paper pieced and the spots colored with my white gel pen then my SU markers. I embossed my white layer with my Swiss Dots folder and added my sentiment. After it was all done, I basically spread some icicle stickles all over the place to make it sparkle!! This card is also for the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS. The Featured Stamper was Liz(lazy lizard) and she is so super sweet. I chose this card as my inspiration, but added some layers and change the images and colors!! That is it for me now, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

A Bella SFYTT

Hello everyone, hope where ever you are, you and all your loved ones are safe!! Last night, my DH and I went to dinner together, and there getting gas at the three gas stations that surrounded the restaurant we were eating at, were 15 trucks from a power company out of Ohio. I assume they were on their way to help out in Texas, and I gotta tell you, it made my heart happy to see them headed out to help with the terrible situation left after Hurricane Ike ravaged the gulf coast of Texas. Here in Illinois, we are experiencing the leftover effects of Ike and even lost power for a few hours this morning. My mom sent me a picture text showing me the tree that just barely missed her house too. My DH got a little whiny about the loss of power till I pointed out how wrong he was and how it could be SO much worse. He quickly shut up!! So anyway, here is my card for Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try. This weeks sketch was also part of a challenge being sponsored by Stamping Bella. All you had to do is make your card using a Bella image to be entered into the drawing to win a $15 GC to the Bella store..yay!! I used this super cute Wreathabella image(I guess I was inspired by their holiday cards...Christmas is coming soon...yikes). She was colored with my SU markers. I added some liquid applique to the hat and shoes to make them poufy. The bow on the wreath was stamped twice, colored and then one was cut out to give the bow some dimension. The DP is by Basic Grey and is part of the Fruitcake line. I paired the paper with Cranberry Crisp and Always Artichoke. The buttons are from SU, and I added some silver twine to them. I pierced around the edge of the different squares and added some silver brads to the corners. The sentiment is from the SU set Holidays and Wishes.
Well, that is all for me for now, I am off to stamp now that the power is back on!!
