MFTWSC117-Hello

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! That means it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things! It's MY favorite sketch challenge!

For my card today, I used the new Pretty Poppies set. I stamped my flower with Wild Cherry ink, and the stems and leaves with Jellybean Green ink. I cut it out using my Circle Stax Die-namics, and then layered it with Jellybean Green cardstock cut out with the Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics. My paper is from the Lilybee Designs Double Dutch paper pad. I used the Scalloped Ribbon Die-namics for my white ribbon panel, and I used Michael's brads to embellish it. To finish, I added some Jellybean Green ribbon, and my sentiment cut out with the Sentiment Strips Die-namics. The base of my card is the new Smooth White cardstock.

For the inside, I stamped another sentiment from the Pretty Poppies set using Jellybean Green Ink.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out the MFT blog for a full list of designers participating in today's sketch!

Introducing Megan Suarez-Blog Hop Challenge!!

Day Two of this month's blog hop challenges, and we have the first of our two new artists releasing 3 AMAZING new stamp sets!!

This month we are introducing a BRAND new artist to There She Goes, Megan Suarez!! She has started us out with three FABULOUS stamp sets, which we think you are going to love. Her style is a touch on the side of gothic, but so much fun. We can’t wait to see what’s next with this AMAZING designer!!

For my card tonight, I went a touch on the CAS side. I used the Basic Grey  Soliel paper pad, which I paired with Smooth White cardstock from My Favorite Things, and Banana Split from Bazzil. My ribbon is Grapesicle from My Favorite Things.

Penelope & Birdcage is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 4 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

For my second card, I used the SUPER fun new Nutmeg set. She was stamped on X-Press It blending card, and then colored with Copics. I layered her with Natural cardstock from My Favorite Things, and also used Smooth White, Tangy Orange, and Jellybean Green. My ribbon is Kraft from MFT, and I used Michael's brads. For my background, I used the Medium Simply Scalloped Die-namics to cut my paper layers from the MME Indie Chic-Ginger paper pad. The main image was cut out using my Oval Stax Die-namics.

Nutmeg is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

The other set we are releasing is the Journal Lines set. I didn't use it, but if you are a scrapbooker, or into mixed media, you are going to LOVE it!!

Journal lines is a 3x4 set that includes 1 stamp, and will sell for $9.00.

Would you like to win all three new stamp sets from Megan Suarez(Penelope&Birdcage/Nutmeg/Journal Lines)? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, March 30th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

March Creative Challenge- Color Combos

The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique.
This month, we are highlighting our favorite color combinations using MFT Ink, cardstock, buttons, ribbon, and felt.
Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a project to share with you today.

For my projects tonight, I chose two different sets, but two of my most FAVORITE color combos!! I am in love with Wild Cherry, so it is featured in both combos...and who could blame me, it's so PRETTY!

For my first card, I paired Smooth WhiteWild Cherry with Jellybean Green and Kraft cardstock. I used the new Poppies set, which was stamped using both Wild Cherry and Jellybean Green ink. You can tell by the close up picture that the ink covers so well!

I used Kraft ink to stamp my sentiments, and cut them out using the Blueprint 1 Die-namics. I also used one of the sketches provided along with the Die-namics.

I embellished with a Wild Cherry button which has some twine through it, Michael's brads,  and Kraft ribbon.

For the inside of my card, I used more of the same supplies.

My second card features the super cute new Party Time Doodle Garden set. She was colored with Copics, and paper pieced as well. The color combo on this card is my favorite right now-Smooth White,  Wild Cherry, Berrylicious, and Gumdrop Green. I LOVE how bright and cheerful it is!

You can see by the close up photo that I cut out her arms, and present separately to give them some dimension. If you don't do this while paper piecing, it tends to make the arms look funny and lost.

For my sentiment, I again used the Blueprints 1 Die-namics, and some buttons in all of my colors: Wild Cherry, Berrylicious, and Gumdrop Green. My ribbon is Wild Cherry.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies!

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to head on over to the MFT blog for a full list of designers participating in this month's challenge!! Have a great day!
