Let the Teasers Begin!!

Here we are again at our first day of My Favorite Things teasers, and I am SO excited about tonight's set. It was actually an idea I pitched to Jody and Kim, and I was THRILLED when they went through with it. My Daddy was in the Army for 21 years, so the military is something near and dear to my heart...not to mention the fact that everyday, I am allowed to live the life I want to live because someone is selflessly sacrificing their life for mine. To all our service men, women, and the families and friends that support them, this set is for you. Godspeed.

Here are the details about the upcoming release on June 5 at 10 PM EST:

Crazy 4 One Layer Cards... No Really, I Am.

Hey Everyone! Hope your holiday weekend is off to a good start!! It is time for another Crazy 4 Challenges, challenge!! This week, it's a One Layer Card, one layer period. That means your base card is IT! No base card and another layer, that counts as two layers for this challenge's purposes. Embellishments are allowed .... Die cuts, flowers, ribbon, whatever, just keep the one layer thing kind of simple.

I think Barb was trying to send me a message, LOL!!!  I was proud of myself, though, I didn't over think it, I just went with it, and I am actually happy with my results!!

For my card, well, I didn't use much. I used an X-Press It Blending Card base, which I NEVER do, but it does take Copics the best. I stamped my images from the Life's A Beach set from There She Goes, and then colored them with my Copics. To finish, I tied some YUMMY ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel around it, made a huge bow...and walked away.

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C138. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to blurf around and see what my teammates have created for you to see!!
