Creative Challenge-Fancy Folds

Hey everyone, and welcome to this month's Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things!!

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're all making cards featuring Fun Folds! Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!

For my card tonight, I decided to use the Pocket Card Fold from Splitcoast Stampers. I started with a Rich Razzleberry(SU) base. I followed the directions on SCS, mostly, except I didn't round my corners. To give my small fold on the front some interest, I used the Bracket Edge Die-namics. My Pure Innocence- Poppy girl was stamped on X-Press It blending card, and then colored with my Copics. I paper pieced her dress with some MME Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky paper, which was also used on the rest of the card. My other card stock colors are Bermuda Bay(SU), and Sour Apple(MFT). I cut her out, and layered her on the front after assembling my base. My sentiment was cut out using the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics. I used some Michael's brads and ribbons, as well as, a spiral clip from Creative Express.

For the my inside tag, I used the new Tag You're It Die-namics. I used some more paper on the bottom of it, and then stamped a sentiment from the Pure Innocence-Sunflower Girl set. My twine is Lilac, Caribbean, and Honeydew.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to head to Kim's blog to see a full list of designers playing in today's challenge!
