Flattery Will Get You Far...

Isn't THAT the truth!! I know you aren't surprised at this point, but I am LOVING this new set from Paper Pretties. I still have one card from this set you haven't seen, and I decided to use it for today's sketch challenge and Jana's Prettie Wednesday Challenge. Jana gave us some of the strictest rules for today's challenge...and I am STILL not sure I followed them correctly. Here were the rules:

Create a card or scrapbook page using the following items:
1 dry embossed piece (embossing folders and texture plates count!)
2 pieces of patterned paper
3 colors of solid card stock (this includes any neutrals you use)
4 embellishments
5 layers

So, the dry embossed piece must be one of your patterned papers or your 3 colors. And, at no point should there by more than 4 layers under a top piece of card stock. However, if you have your base card with a second layer on that...you may have multiple small pieces each with 2 layers under them...right? Oh...and you may use as many tools as you like. Guess this isn't so much limited as just very specific!

I think my sentiment may have broke the 5layer rule, but I am so close I am not going to worry about it. Oh, and if paper piercing is an embellishment just pretend you don't see it, kay??For this card I used some Hawaiian Papaya DSP to paper piece the take out box and for the panel behind it. I paired it with Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss card stock. I made a slight Shadow around the box and fortune with my Copic W1marker. The Kiwi Kiss layer was ran through my Cuttlebug with the Hounds tooth folder. For my embellishments, I used all SU ribbon, a Heidi Swapp Ghost heart, a Bella Bloom button, and some silver brads. That is it for me now...I will be back in a moment to announce my BLOGAVERSARY candy, yayy me!! Be sure to blurf around and see how the other Pretties did with this weeks challenge!!!
