Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 4

ETA: I decided to start using the Mr. Linky widget, so if you decide to play, go ahead and add it to the list!!

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog!! It is time for my Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge!! As some of you might have seen, I started a little "personal" challenge called- Forgotten Stamp Friday!! Basically, I am challenging myself, and YOU, to use some of those poor, dusty, neglected, forgotten stamps from your collection!! I have created my own "keyword", this week's is FSF04. Last week, I had TWO people play along!! Thanks Dawn and Misty!! The only rule is to use a stamp set that hasn't been used in at least 6 months.

For my card today, I used one of the first Our Craft Lounge sets I ever got!! I just LOVE Pea-nut...he's so cute!! He was stamped on am MFT perfect panel, and then colored with my Copics. I then layered him with Regal Rose, Rose Red, and Hot Fudge card stock. I followed Mercy's LAST sketch....so sad, and cut out my circle panel with the MFT Decorative Doily Die-namic. My DP is from the Basic Grey Bittersweet pack. The gingham ribbon I used is from SU.

Well, that is it for me for now!! I can't wait to see if you play along!! Be sure to use the keyword FSF04, or come back here and leave me a link in the comments!! There is no time limit, just be sure to use the right keyword, and have FUN!! Have a great day!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 3

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog!! It is time for my Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge!! As some of you might have seen, I started a little "personal" challenge called- Forgotten Stamp Friday!! Basically, I am challenging myself, and YOU, to use some of those poor, dusty, neglected, forgotten stamps from your collection!! I have created my own "keyword", this week's is FSF03. Last week, I had TWO people play along!! I was so EXCITED!! Thanks Dawn and Jodi!! The only rule is to use a stamp set that hasn't been used in at least 6 months.

For my card tonight, I not only used a stamp I have had for over 6 months, but one that has NEVER seen ink. Why do I do that?? SUCH a cute image!! I started by stamping my Polly Packages image from Stamping Bella, on a piece of MFT Cream Perfect Panel. She was then layered with Wild Cherry and Black Licorice. The embossed snowflake layer is one of the sold pieces from my Paper Studio paper pack. I used Mercy's sketch, as well.
Well, that is it for me for now!! I can't wait to see if you play along!! Be sure to use the keyword FSF03, or come back here and leave me a link in the comments!! There is no time limit, just be sure to use the right keyword, and have FUN!! Have a great day!!

Wednesday Stamp Club-Pure Innocence Christmas

It is time for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club challenge(well, it was...I'm a wee bit late), and we hope that you’ll be able to find some time to play along with us this week. Our theme this week is a Pure Innocence Christmas…. and if you’d like to play along – we’d love to have you create a last minute Christmas card using PI stamps. This week’s Splitcoast Stampers Keyword will be MFTWSC12152010

For my card, I used the Pure Innocence-Don't Open Until(first time using THIS stamp...gosh, I suck), along with sentiments from the Sending a Little Christmas set. My image was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then layered with Red Hot, Regal Rose, and Wild Wasabi. It was colored with Copics....and that's where the problem's started. My green marker got a spot on my clouds, so I had to cut out the image...because it was already colored, and then layer it onto another stamped image. I used SU Dazzling Diamond glitter and a glue pen for my snow. My sentiment was made using the SU Label punch, then free hand cutting out the next layer. I used buttons from Wal-mart, and ribbon from MFT.

My scallops, both inside and out, were made using the Little Open Scallop Strip. I followed Mercy's sketch from this week.

My DP is part of the DCWV Glitter Christmas collection from a few years ago. I still love it!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out the MFT member forum for more details on our challenges!! Also, if you are a fan of My Favorite Things on Facebook, you may have already heard how you can win the ENTIRE January release...if not, check out this post from Kim!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday

Happy Friday fellow bloggers!! Today, I am going to TRY to start something new, and I hope that you decide to play along with me!! I am constantly confessing to having SEVERAL stamps that are unused, or that haven't been used in FOREVER...it truly is a problem for me! I have so much new coming in, that I forget about all the older stuff that I still love!! So, today is my first ever, Forgotten Stamp Friday!! There aren't any prizes...just the satisfaction of using some of those stamps you have forgotten about!! The only rule is to use a stamp that hasn't seen ink for at least 6 months!! I am going to attach the keyword- FSF01 to my creation in the SCS gallery(place under keywords). I would LOVE to see if you play along, so if you chose to, either leave me a link in my comments, or be sure to use the keyword so I can see what you got!!!! Fun, right!!

For my first ever FSF project, I used the Snow Wonderful set from Verve Stamps. I LOVE these little snowmen, and it was the first set that I thought of when I thought of this "challenge". My card was paired with Black Licorice and Red Hot card stock, and Paper Studio DP. I used the Open Scalloped Die-namics for my border, some Michael's ribbons and brads, and did a ton of piercing. My sketch is Mercy's from this past Tuesday!

Well, that is it for me for now!! I hope someone decides to play along with me!! Have a great day!!

TSG84 Happy Holidays

Happy Monday bloggers, stampers, friends, family, and anyone else who happens upon my blog!! It is time for another There She Goes challenge!! I missed the last two, so it was time to JUMP back in!! This week's challenge is brought to us by Jodi, one of my favorite people on this earth, and it's all about the bling! Rhinestones, glitter, shimmer...anything goes, as long as your creation has plenty of bling! After seeing her challenge, I questioned her love for me for a moment...then came to my senses....bling? Really? uuuugh. So, I cheated...well, not really. It is blingy, just not VERY blingy....
Here are the details on the challenge, we would LOVE for you to play along!!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that has bling and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Dec. 13). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG84 so we can check out your beautiful work!

For my card, I used the new Just For You set......it is SO fun!! When I first saw it, I liked it, but I wasn't sure what I would do with it...now, I KNOW!! My "label" was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa on an MFT Perfect panel, and some old SU Christmas DP, Alpine something or another...I think. I then colored the red border with Copics, and paper pieced the rest. The sentiment and gingerbread man were both stamped on a separate piece of paper, and then cut out and popped up. My BLING are my glitter dots in the corner. Hey...they sparkly in real life!! All my ribbon is VERY old SU, and my spiral clips are from Creative Expressions. My sketch is Mercy's from this past week!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Check out the TSG blog to see a list of the other designers playing along so far today!! Have a good one!!

my favorite of ALL the dies so far!! My ribbons are from SU, and my spiral clip is from Creative Express. American Crafts is the maker of my brads. For my layout, I used a past Taylored Expressions sketch.

For my second card, I used the new Ballet Millie. Isn't she just a CUTIE PIE!!! I colored her with Copics, and then I cut her out with my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. My ribbons are from SU, and my brads are from Michael's. I used Cocoa and Baja paper paired with SU Parisian Breeze paper.

Teaser's Day TWO!!

Today is day two of this month's My Favorite Things teasers, and today we are showing three ADORABLE new sets!! Our new Fred Bear Fishing, Emma Playing Mommy, and Wyatt the Conductor. I loved all three sets so much, that I decided to use all three today, LOL!! Lots of eye candy, if you will!! First, some business!!

Today, there is a prize hidden on one of the designer's blog posts. As you make your way through the Teaser Time posts, simply leave a comment on each blog, for your chance to win one of the Brand Spankin' New stamp sets being released on September 1st. A winner will be chosen from the comments on the pre-selected blog before tomorrow's teaser list goes live, and will be posted on Kim's blog HERE. Be sure to check tomorrow to see if YOU are the winner. You can play along each day for your chance to win. We will be giving away TEN new stamp sets this week! As always, you can find the master list of participating designers HERE Kim's blog.

Okay, so there is a lot of card in this post, so let's get to it!!
For my first card, I used the new Fred Bear Fishing....gosh, I love Fred!! I paired him with some Good Morning Sunshine DP from SU....it was just perfect for him!! For my sentiment, I actually cut it apart, so that I could use only the You're. The dots were added with my Copic pen.

For the inside, I used the rest of the sentiment, some more yummy DP, and my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. I have seen some of the other talented ladies on the team finishing their cards with circles on the inside, and I wanted to give it a whirl!! My sketch for this card was a recent sketch on Mercy's Blog.

My sun was made with my Die-namics, some more DP, and a piece of Summer Sun cardstock. I love that you can layer them...SO FUN!!

For my next card, I used my Emma Playing Mommy. Isn't she a PEACH??!! I just love the new Emma and Wyatt sets, and this one is no exception!! She was paired with some Retro DP from DCWV. I paper pieced the stroller, colored parts of it, cut it out, and added it on top of her. I put some brads on the wheels, too. I love the shoes....SO CUTE!!

For the inside of my card, I used more of the same supplies. Isn't it just fun??!! I also forgot to mention that my sketch is a previous SFYTT.

I don't know if you noticed, but I used one of the NEW Die-namics being released on Wednesday!! It is our new Rounded Banner Trio Die. It works the same way as the pennant die, and was made to make a banner with three parts that layer together. I used it in a different way, to add my sentiment on!! I, also, only used two parts of the trio...but you get the picture, I'm sure!!

For my last card, I used the new Wyatt the Conductor set....SO FUN!! My DP is from the K&Co. Hopskotch pack...super fun for kids cards!! My sketch is this past week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch. Isn't he a CUTIE??

For the inside, you all are going to think I am crazy, but I used the new Notebook Edge Die-namics being released this week. I used it to cut out a piece of DP, and had it flipped the wrong way. When I saw how it looked, it made me think of trees...I know, right?

So I decided to do the other edge the wrong way, and kind of going up hill. Then I stamped my train, colored it with Copics, and cut it out. I cut off part of the trees, so it wouldn't be in the way, but I thought paired with this sentiment, that it really worked. I know, I'm nuts.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by!! Before you go, here is all the need to know info!!

* All the new stamp sets, Die-namics, and new products are available September 1st at 10 PM EST HERE in the MFT Boutique

Crazy 4 Challenges- Music

Happy Saturday everyone! It is time for another challenge on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week it is Frances' turn to host the challenge. Here is her challenge, in her own words!!

"When I first started thinking about what to do for the challenges in August, I decided to check out what special days were in August. in researching this online I discovered that the 2nd week of August was Elvis week which coincides with the anniversary of his death on 16th August 1977.

So my challenge for this week is that you need to include music somehow on your card. It could be a music related stamp, designer paper, embossing folders, punches etc..... whatever you wish. Of course if you have Elvis stamps you get double points hehe!"

If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C50. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

For my card, I used Mercy's sketch from a few weeks ago, and I paired it with my Pure Innocence- Tweeny Teen Rock On set. I haven't used it yet....unbelievably. I have to quit doing that, lol!! I used Rockabilly DP, and paired it with Black Licorice, Red Hot, and Old Olive cardstock. See all that yummy ribbon? It's all from MFT, as well as my little brads. Yummm!!
Well, that is it for me for today!! Be sure to check out the other crazies, and see what they have for you!!

Break's Over!!

After a whirlwind week or two, stamping for both of my design team's releases, and dealing with some major work issues....I had no desire, or time to stamp!! But, so that I don't get out of the habit, I forced myself to the stamp table tonight and made a couple of cards!! Tonight's, is for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge. I am a day late, but better late than never, right?!! This week, we welcomed a new member, Silke Ledlow. Silke and I go way back and I am THRILLED to get to work with her.

For this week's challenge, Frances, challenged us to use cupcakes on our card or project. I couldn't help but use the new Jolinne-Sprinkles on Top image.
Isn't she a cutie pie??? For my card, I also used this past week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. It was PERFECT for my image!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!! Be sure to check out the other girls!!

MTSC83 Let's Go!!

Since it is almost TEASER time, I wanted to play with some more of last month's new images from My Favorite Things. I could hardly believe that there are three Pure Innocence images that I haven't used....for SHAME!! Gonna have to fix that!!

For my card, I used Mercy's sketch from this past Tuesday, and my Pure Innocence-Are We There Yet?. She is so CUTE!! I'm not sure about my choice to use white for the top circle, but I kinda wanted it to look like all I had was a ring of the Burgundy, but now I don't know. For my scallops at the bottom, I used my Open Scalloped Die-namics....

my FAVORITE so far!! It is so fun, and I LOVE adding the little brads to them....makes them all festive like!!
Well, that is it for me for now, thanks for stopping by and have a great day. On a personal note, I am in the middle of one of the worst migraines I have ever had. Even with the strongest pain medicine I possess, I barely have it down to a dull roar and it is constant. I am trying to smile, and laugh through the pain, but I am exhausted. I can barely sleep, and the nightmare's are the worst. I had to force myself to stamp due to this being release week for both companies that I work for, but I am not what I would call THRILLED with my creations, so if they seem a little off, bare with me....hopefully, I will be back to normal soon. Thanks for listening, if you are still here!!
