Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone!! I am having a heck of a time today with my computer so bare with me. I figured out yesterday that it isn’t updating my feeds for the 200 blogs I go to….really making me angry. I have tried everything I can think of to fix it to no avail. Of course with that being said, I am kind of a moron when it comes to computer, so it isn’t altogether shocking that I can’t fix it. I know the biggest issue is my computer, it is in serious need of some TLC(by someone who knows how to do it, not me fumbling around like an idiot). So, I guess I will spend the next few hours of my life transferring them all with to a reader or to my blog with that nifty new updated blog list(saw it on my dashboard). With all that being said, my sister called today and Jared went to the Dr. today because he has been super fussy and she wanted to make sure there was nothing major wrong with him. His Dr. told my sister that he has Colic, so we have another 4 to 6 months of this to deal with(pray for the 4, my sister is at her wits end and I will be too shortly). But hey, that’s not why you are here, you are here for a card right? RIGHT!! I made this card for today’s sketch challenge, and I gotta say, I am not all that impressed with it, but I think it was because of the super involved layout. I love lots of layers and embellishments, but my layouts are usually about the same, and this one blew my mind. Jodi(kharmagirl) sent me some of her awesome stamps to play with and the worked PERFECT for this sketch. I colored them with my markers, and then layered them with Regal Rose, So Saffron, and Old Olive. I added a couple of spiral clips with grosgrain ribbon on them and silver brads in the corners. The sentiment is a rub on. I also ran the white piece through my Cuttlebug with the birds and swirls folder(I think that is the name of it). Well, that is it for me now! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!! Stamps-Butterfly by Magenta
Paper-Regal Rose, So Saffron, Old Olive, and Whisper White
Ink-Black Stazon
Tools-SU markers, silver brads and clips, grosgrain, Cuttlebug, embossing folder

Prettie Wednesday-Green&White

Two weeks ago Christie challenged us to make a card using green and white. I used my Cuddle Me Sophia and colored her in with my SU markers. The sketch is an older Sketch For You To Try from Jen del Muro. I had the hardest time getting it to work, and actually never ended up with a card for it until now. I just love it!! The top oval piece was run through the cuttlebug twice, once to emboss it and once to cut it out. The ribbon is from a share with Jody Morrow and from SU. I couldn't figure out where to put a sentiment, so I added a ribbon slide. Isn't it awesome!! This card is still here with me and will be until Jana gets back to the US!!!! Next week we will be posting Jules challenge to use trash on our card, still blowing my mind!! This weeks challenger is Charmaine, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us!! Be sure to blurf around and check out the other Prettie Girl's creations. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!! I will be back tomorrow after work with my sketch challenge card, and don't forget, Christie is having an awesome sell in the Prettie store so be sure to check it out along with Jule's new product review!!
