Snowflake Kisses

So, here is a look at the Snowflake Kisses set that will be re-released in RUBBAH tomorrow at Paper Pretties. If you didn't already know, Paper Pretties has decided to now make all their stamps in RUBBAH, which I LOVE!! We will be having our monthly Stampin In Your Jammies party tomorrow night at 6pmCDT(in other words 7pmEST). It will last until 9pm and there will be a challenge issued every hour. On top of all that, we will be chatting and having a great time, I really hope you can join us!! Also, there are still three hours left in the Cutie Pie contest, so if you planned on entering, you better get going!! You have until 8pmCDT(9pmEST) to get your cards uploaded to the Cutie Pie Submissions gallery over at Paper Pretties. The winner will receive all the new releases for this month as well as get to call themselves a Cutie Pie.
So anyway, here is my card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge. This weeks FS is Dawn(flowergal35). Her gallery is fabulous, and I chose this card to CASE. I changed the main image(Snowflake from the Snowflake Kisses set by Paper Pretties), the colors(now Bravo Burgundy, Regal Rose and Old Olive), the DP(now Paper Salon's Dazzle Strips and Snowflake, on sale in the Paper Pretties Boutique), the embellishments(now Burgundy Wide Grosgrain and Silver brads and cord from SU), and I changed the sentiment panel just a little(used SU scalloped circle punch and added the sentiment from Snowflake Kisses on top). I did some paper piercing around the pink layers on this card for some added embellishment as well. The image was colored with my SU markers and then I added some Perfect Pearls by Ranger on top of it. Isn't it CUTE!! Well, I need to head back to the stamp table....thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Thanksgiving Blessings

Hello everyone...hope all of you that are celebrating Thanksgiving today, as well as everyone else, are having a happy and blessed day. I have come down with some sort of bug, but never fear, I still ate til I was so full I thought I might burst!! Of course afterwards, I spent the rest of the day laying on the couch whining about how bad I feel. My throat is so sore I could cry, don't you hate that?? I wasn't going to post today, but then I remembered this card I had made back when I was a featured designer for Whipper Snapper, and I decided to share it today. I made this card using the Give Thanks set from Whipper Snapper. I stamped the wheat bundles(I THINK that's what they are) with Creamy Carmel and So Saffron ink on Whisper White. I layered it with So Saffron and Bravo Burgundy CS which was cut out with my Rectangle Nestabilities. I used some retired Four Seasons DSP from SU and added silver brads, white taffeta, a spiral clip, and some cream and Burgundy grosgrain.

Well, that is it for me now...I can hear my couch calling me!!! Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed holiday!!

Prettie Wednesday- Pearls

Two weeks ago, I challenged my fellow Prettie Girls to make a card using pearls on it...easy peasy right!! While I was at Walmart, I bought this SUPER GORGEOUS pearl snowflake buttons, so I KNEW that I wanted to use them on my card today. My card was made using the SCS sketch challenge along with the SOON TO BE RELEASED to the public stamp, Trim the Tree. Trim the Tree will be released by Paper Pretties on Monday, December 1st at our monthly Stampin In Your Jammies party. She will be released along with our Snowflake Kisses stamp set which will be RE-RELEASED in RUBBAH!! The fun starts at 6pmCDT(here is a time zone converter to help you figure out what time that is in your neck of the woods) and will last until 9pm. We will be issuing a challenge every hour as well as talkin up a storm. So, be there, or be square, LOL!! Also, you have until the 30th of November at 8pmCDT to get your entries in for the Cutie Pie contest, just be sure to get your card uploaded to the Paper Pretties Cutie Pie submissions gallery. The winner will get both the Trim the Tree and Snowflake Kisses sets as their prize!!
Okay, enough blabber, onto the card!! I stamped my Trim the Tree Sophia on watercolor paper with Black Stazon ink. I then used my Not Quite Navy marker to color her in. After coloring her dress, I used an aquapainter to take away some of the color then painted the whole image with some December Sky Shimmerz...yummmo!!! It is rare that you can see shimmer in a picture, but I think it is VERY visable in mine!! The belt and sleeves on the dress are colored with my Silver Glitter Pen that I picked up at Target. The rest of the image was then colored in with my SU markers and outlined with my Cool Grey Prismacolor 20% marker. I pierced a border around the edges and added a spiral clip with some yummy Pink Hedgehogs Paper Crafts ribbon on it. The bottom corner has a snowflake that was punched out of my yummy Heidi Grace DSP (which is STILL ON SALE at Paper Pretties...go now!!!)(with one of the Martha Stewart Snowflake punches(Walmart)) and I layered one of my pearl snowflake buttons on top(also from Walmart). To get the button to sit flat, I just took a pair of scissors and cut off the loop on the back, easy peasy. The silver paper is from the DCWV metallic stack and it was paired with Whisper White and Not Quite Navy. I added some pearls to the edge as well as to her ornament. The ribbon is retired SU Silver Organdy with some silver cord. I did run the white layer through the Cuttlebug with my ornaments embossing folder. Well, that is it for me now...be sure to blurf around and see what the other Pretties have been up to!! I am sure they are amazing!!

Merry & Bright

I know I have said it before, but I just LOVE the new Nativity images from Paper Pretties. This card was made using the Nativity set, but there are two other sets that go along with it, Adore Him and Worship the King. I decided to make my card using today's color challenge, Very Vanilla, Going Gray and Really Rust...blahhh. I don't really care for it, but I like my card, so I guess it will work. I stamped the Baby Jesus image with Black Stazon, and colored it in with my SU markers. The DP is from the SU Fall Flowers pack. I used some yummy Going Gray brads and grosgrain from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts and some vanilla taffeta and pewter clips to embellish it. The sentiment was stamped the same way and then punched out with my SU circle punches. Sorry for the bluntness, but my nephew was a BEAR today..and I am exhausted!! He was running a fever after his shots, which he did not have a reaction to, thank goodness. Anyway, all he wanted to do was eat and sleep, but I had to hold him A LOT today. Thanks for stopping by though, and for your concern about him...have a great day(or night)!!

Who's That Girl Monday- Nature Calls

So, I know it is shameful, but here is yet ANOTHER My Favorite Things set that hasn't seen ink since I bought it!! That is what I LOVE about the MFT member forum challenges...they force me to ink up my unused sets. This weeks Who's That Girl challenge is being hosted by my friend Laura(lov'n life n vegas), and the challenge was to use the MFT set Nature Calls and to also use up some scraps. Well, since I have a TON of those laying around, that was EASY for me!! I didn't mean to end up with a monochromatic card, but I LOVE it. Recently, on Facebook, I have reconnected with some old friends, and I wanted to make a card to send to them to let them know that I miss them....get it, I MOOSE you, LOL!! The sentiment is from the coordinating, What's Your Sign set. Isn't it cute!! I stamped the moose image with Black Stazon ink and colored it in with my SU markers. I did the outline with my Cool Grey Copic(C3). The DSP is from the Close To Cocoa DSP(retired) from SU and also from the Ski Slope DSP, in fact, the Ski Slope is actually two small pieces I just have peeking out..yayy me!! I added a ton of white brads and some felt Alpine Originals ribbon from SU. The punches that were used to make my sentiment panel are all from SU. I was going to wait and post this til tomorrow, but I have to go to my sister's to watch Jared tomorrow...wish me luck. He is getting the second round of his vaccinations, and I am TERRIFIED he will have a reaction again*. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

*He had an injection sight reaction to the shots that they gave him the first time that he got vaccinated. He had skinny little chicken legs when he first got the shots, so we are HOPEing that now that he actually has some fat on him that he won't react. I am still terrified though..........

Featured Stamper Sunday

Here is my card for this week's Featured Stamper...and I am up WAY to late, so bare with me!! This weeks Featured Stamper is Elizabeth(ebethneu) and she has a FABULOUS gallery!! It is full of funky and fabulous creations that are AWESOME to look at...very hard to reproduce(or maybe it is still the whole up late thing)!! I chose this card of hers to CASE, due to the fact that I received this GORGEOUS image(bought from Sweet n Sassy, part of the Rachel Anne Miller collection, it is called Cute Kitty) from my pal Jodi(kharmagirl) in the mail today, THANKS JODI!!! I have been eyeing this paper that I got from Paper Pretties, so that is where I drew my colors. It is from the Paper Salon Pristine collection(which is still on sale for 75%off at Paper Pretties...AWESOME!!). I used Sage Shadow, Regal Rose and Close To Cocoa. My image was colored with SU markers and outlined with a Warm Grey No.3 marker from Copic. I followed her sketch almost exactly and TRIED to keep the embellishments the same. I added a bunch of pink felt flowers with silver brads to two corners and added some BLING from Mark Richards in the other corners as well as on her hair bows and the little star burst thingies....sorry, I have NO CLUE what they are supposed to be, but they are cute..LOL!! I went a little further and added my normal piercing and spiral clips, but hey...I TRIED. Isn't this CUTE!!! I can't figure out why I am getting that weird line on the hand, but I don't see it in real life(AGAIN, may be the up late thing). Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!! as I am typing this I just realized that this was a previous sketch challenge!! I REALLY try NOT to do that, but I loved her card, so oh well!!

Merry Christmas Weekend Sketch Challenge

Isn't this Cardinal Christmas set from SU GORGEOUS!!! I LOVE it and I have had it for awhile, so I was DYING to get it inky today!! I started by stamping my image in Black Stazon then I colored it in with my SU reinkers(Riding Hood Red) and SU markers. For the shading on the bird, I added some Ruby Red marker, but the body was colored with a blender pen and reinker. I outlined my image with my Copic Warm Grey marker(W3). I then layered it with Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip. The DP is from the Ski Slope DSP and the ribbon is from the Alpine originals, except what is on the clips, it is RHR taffeta. I followed Beate's sketch and VIOLA..it was done...GORGEOUS!! Gotta go, DH is taking me to dinner...SHOCKING!!

I'm Backkkkkk

So, I haven't posted a thing since Thursday...YIKES!! That is a long time for me...and I would love to say I was stamping away, but sadly no. After posting a couple cards Thursday morning, Jared and I went out to run some errands and then I went to his house and spent the night. It is shotgun season around here, so his dad was staying at my house to go hunt which meant that the boy didn't have a ride...instead of fooling with it, I just went there to stay. I got home last night, but sleeping with a baby is exhausting, LOL, so I went to bed sorta early. Before I went to bed, I did get a look at the Friday Limited Supplies Challenge and Saturday's Inspiration Challenge, so I did have all night to come up with a plan. The inspiration piece was the AMC show Mad Men. I didn't pick one specific person or picture, but rather the way the women dress...Lexi would fit right in with them!! This card is pretty basic, but I {heart} it!! Maybe that is because I also used four of my favorite things: Jen's SFYTT, Sweet Always DSP, Lexi from Paper Pretties, and my Swiss Dots folder. How could I not LOVE it, right!! So, since you know what inspired me, and where the sketch came from, you need to know what the LSC was. Well, it was to include Chocolate on your card, in any way you want....EASY PEASY!! Not only did I use Chocolate Chip paper(by far my FAVORITE color), but I also have Lexi holding this GINORMOUS box of Chocolates. To give the box some dimension, I glued the bottom half down and put the top half on a pop dot....LOVE the way that looks. The image was paper pieced with the Sweet Always paper and I colored the rest with my SU markers. I did outline the image with my new Copic Cool Grey No. 3 marker(C3). The ribbons are all from SU, but I think the Pink one is retired..why oh why do they do that to me!! I added some silver brads, a silver figure 8 clip, and the sentiment, which was punched out with my SU punches. Well, that is all for me now...I am off to stamp some more!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!!
Oh ya, been awhile, so here is some Baby Eye Candy for ya!! He is wearing an outfit that my bestest pal Jodi(kharmagirl) sent him...isn't he a CUTIE!!

Celebrating MFT Day and Pearls

So, I decided to combine today's Ways to Use it challenge, to use pearls or something pearl related, with my celebrating MFT day card. The twentieth of every month it is Celebrating My Favorite Things day, so write it down!! Basically, it is a day to show some love to your MFT stamps....bonus points(fake ones but still) for using Pink and Black!! I decided to try to use one of my yet to be inked Annie LaPoint images called Rosemary. I stamped it on watercolor paper with Black Stazon ink and then colored it in with my SU markers. I cut it and its layers out with my circle Nesties. The paper is from SU(Rose Red DSP) and The Paper Studio(Black and White Stack). I followed this weeks MFT sketch and added some wide stitched Rose Red grosgrain, as well as some black GORGEOUS ribbon from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts. The flowers are by Spare Parts(Hobby Lobby) and I added some K&Co. pearl brads to their centers. The pearls in the corners are from Michael's. I did some piercing and it was done!! Thanks for stopping by again, have a great day!!

Thanksful Hearts DD/DDA Challenge

It is the 20th so it is time for another Dirty Dozen/Dirty Dozen Alumni challenge. This months challenge is being hosted by Sharon Harnist and here were the guidelines!!
Challenge Focus: Create a thankful card or gift, Thanksgiving table place card or treat holder, or Thanksgiving home decor item.

Required Element: At least one heart on your project.

Restricted Element: Nothing

I chose to use my new Season of Friendship set that Jodi(kharmagirl) sent me for my birthday!! It has been a long time since I did an SU only card, so I wanted to try to do that, and then went and screwed it up in the end by adding that silly(SUPER CUTE) button. I love the little button, so, consider this SU only MINUS the button. I stamped my tree with More Mustard and then again with Chocolate Chip. The leaves were all stamped separately and then cut out and glued on. I used Sage Shadow, More Mustard and Really Rust. I used some YUMMY Autumn Vine DSP for the corners and added some silver hardware to those as well as to frame my sentiment from All Holidays. Through the middle I added some wide Chocolate grosgrain, as well as some Sage and Mustard narrow grosgrain. The hearts are chipboard and are covered with more of the Vine DSP. Well, that is it for me now...thanks for looking!! OH ya, this follows yesterdays sketch challenge too!! To see all the other FABULOUS entries...check out this gallery!!

I layered her with the challenge colors, Kraft, Real Red, and Basic Black, and added some white dots with my gel pen. The spiral clips are from Spare Parts and they have some Kraft taffeta as well as some gingham ribbon on them. Prettie Wednesday- I Like To Move IT, Move IT...

I Like to Move It, Move It.....man, I just love that song!! It is so catchy!!LOL!! Anyway, welcome to Prettie Wednesday!! Two weeks ago, Charmaine challenged us to make a card that moves. You could do anything you wanted as long as something on the front panel moves. Jared took a long, good nap yesterday, so I was able to get my card done then. I have always wanted to try a waterfall card, and I decided that this was the time to do it!! I printed out the directions from SCS and got to work. I knew that this type of card would be PERFECT with the images from Sweets For the Sweet, so I got all my paper cut, and supplies ready, and got to work. Each image was stamped with Black Stazon on Whisper White and colored in with my SU markers. I put the card together then added some piercing, some ribbon, and FINITO!! Since there is no need to reinvent the wheel, I will just give you the link to the fabulous tutorial found on SCS, since they are who INSPIRE me everyday!! The colors are Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie and Pink Pirouette. I used some more of my Sweet Always DSP from SU and added a bunch of embellishments....the ribbons are both SU as well as the eyelets...the brads are from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts. So that you can see the whole project, I am including pictures of each layer!! This week it is Danielle's turn to challenge us, can't wait to see what she does!! Thanks for stopping by, make sure you check out the rest of the Pretties!!

BCDzyns New Release Blog Hop!!

Hey everyone and welcome to the BC Dzyns blog hop!! BC Dzyns is a line of stamps put out by My Favorite Things. If you are just now finding the hop, please go to Kim's blog(the MFT lady) to get started. If you are not familiar with the way a hop works, just go to the starting point and it will link you to the next blog and so on and so on. So, the new set from BC Dzyns is called "and then I said...". It features this GORGEOUS girl and several sentiments to go along with her. I stamped my image on Whisper White with Black Stazon and colored her in with my SU markers, blender pens and SU reinkers. I used my Cuttlebug and circle nesties to cut out the image and her layers. The colors on this card are Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette. I pierced a border around the image on the PP layer and then used my 1/16ths punch to create the holes in the scallops. The DP is from the SU Bella Rose stack and it is layered with some Riding Hood Red that was scalloped with my SU scallop punch. I added some RHR taffeta, Kiwi Kiss satin around the DP panel as well as on two silver spiral clips. I ran my Whisper White layer through the Cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder. I added some large silver brads to the corners and stamped my sentiment in the bottom corner. This card is pretty simple, but that image is so gorgeous I didn't want to take away from it. That is it for me now...Hop on over to Joanne's Blog(my fellow Dirty Girl, wahooo!!) to see the next sample with this AMAZING set!! I am pretty sure that she is has some BLOG CANDY for you to!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Prettie Tuesday

So, I really wanted to use this image of Sophia dressed up as Mary for my Color Challenge card today. What I didn't count on is the fact that the colors would be Real Red, Kraft and Basic Black...hmmm. So, I did the best I could with it, since I was DETERMINED to use this image from Paper Pretties on my card. The image was stamped on watercolor paper with black ink. I then used my SU markers to color her in. Mary and all her layers were cut out with my Cuttlebug and Oval Nestabilities. I added some piercing, a spiral clip with Kraft taffeta and adhered it to my card base. The base is the challenge colors with Whisper White and then some Kraft patterns paper. I added a RR scalloped piece underneath of it and then wrapped some more Kraft taffeta and some RR grosgrain. The sentiment is also from Paper Pretties and it was punched out with my two largest oval punches from SU. I added some Antique Brass brads and it was done. This image is so gorgeous, it really doesn't need much else, kwim!! Lastly, Paper Pretties is moving and we need to clear out our inventory because we do NOT want to move it! So, beginning today almost everything in the Pretties Boutique is on sale for 75% off - yes that was 75% you read - below wholesale!!! The exceptions are the Pretties Stamps and the Swarovski crystals - everything else is being cleared out! The prices have already been changed for you so you won't need a coupon code! Happy Shopping!! Well, that is it for me for now. Thanks for stopping by!!

THIS Is Why..

I don't do the Technique Lover's challenge most of the time!! Talk about tricky!! I don't know if it was me, or lack of sleep, but I swear the directions are written in Greek.....thank goodness for pictures, LOL!! What am I babbling about, well, today's TLC was to make a card of project using this triangle fold medallion. You can find the directions here. I decided that I would try to use up some scraps, so I dug out my retired Ginger Blossom DSP from SU and got to work. I made my medallion according to the directions and then added a flower brad to the center(don't remember the brand, but I got them at Archiver's). I layered it on another piece of the DP and then layered it with River Rock, Groovy Guava, and Ruby Red. The base is Whisper White with the flower stamp from Embrace Life stamped all over, colored with my markers and ink pads, and then the edges were sponged. I added some GG and RR stitched ribbon and also some spiral clips and brads. The sentiment is from Flourishes, part of the Many Sentiments set, and the hardware is from We R Memory Keepers. MFT Monday..

So, it is Monday and that means it is time for another Who's That Girl challenge over in the MFT member company forum. This weeks challenge was to use the My Favorite Things set, Gone to the Dogs, along with at least two different patterned papers and 3 buttons. You know me and my DP and embellishments...I was ALL OVER this one, LOL!! I stamped my Gone to the Dogs image on Whisper White with Black Stazon, as well as two different pieces of Sweet Always DP from SU. I paper pieced the shirt and skirt and then colored the rest in with my SU markers. I layered the image with Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip. I then placed two pieces of the DP under the image and added some layered ribbons to it. I layered the Pink Pirouette WIDE grosgrain, Chocolate Chip wide stitched and some White Taffeta. I then did some piercing and added a ton of white brads. The flowers are from the SU Flower Fusion 2 packet and the two pink buttons are also from SU. The orange button I got from Paper Pretties. My sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments set, isn't it cute!! I punched it out with my word window punch from SU. I hope you decide to play along don't forget, if you upload your card to the gallery using the keyword MFTWTG10 by midnight on Wednesday, November 19th, you will be entered into the drawing for a $5 MFT store certificate!Well, that is it for me for now, I will hopefully be back later with more crafty goodness for you to oogle. LOL!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Birthday dear Jillian

Happy Birthday to YOU!! and many morrrrreeeeee.....
So, trust me when I say you are HAPPY I typed that and you didn't have to hear me SING it...cause trust me, it isn't pretty!! Anywho...welcome to the Hoppin' PARTAY!! That's right, it is our very own Prettie Girl, Jillian's, birthday party blog hop!! If you are just now seeing this party, you need to go to the new Paper Pretties blog, the Paper Clip to get started!! Follow the links from the Paper Clip on through the party so that you don't miss one bit of the festivities, and in the end, you will get to leave Jillian a message telling her Happy Birthday!! All of the Prettie girls are participating in the party, and we are each bringing a little something with us...I am bringing the presents!! Actually, Wade E. Bug is bringing the presents!! I stamped my Wade E. Bug image from Paper Pretties on Whisper White paper with Black Stazon ink. I then colored the image in with my SU markers and outlined the whole image with my Prismacolor Cool Grey marker. The image is layered with Green Galore, Ballet Blue and Real Red(wouldn't Carole be proud). I pierced a border around the main image and added some spiral clips with some yummy ribbon from Strano. The presents are actually part of the My Favorite Things set, You Take the Cake. I stamped them on some American Crafts Celebration paper that I got ON SALE at the Paper Pretties store...where Christie is still having and INSANELY awesome sale!! Everything in the store is on sale for 75% off except for the crystals and Prettie Stamps. The base has some more of the DP with a piece of Real Red paper underneath it. I used my scalloped edge punch on it then layered it on a piece of Whisper White paper that was run through my Cuttlebug with my Happy Birthday folder. I added silver brads to the corners and some white taffeta and red gingham. The stars were made with my SU star punches and the sentiment is from the Paper Pretties Bugs and Fishes set. This is also my card for today's Featured Stamper, Kendra. Here is her card that I cased!!

So, wanna know where to go from here...well then, go check the fabulously talented and super sweet Jodi Collins at Stamping A Latte!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Enjoy the hop!!

Can't Sleep..

because I am SO EXCITED!! Have you checked out who this month's new Dirty Girls are?? No, well, RUN, don't WALK to the homepage at SCS to see who these super talented ladies are and leave them some love!! Congrats to Joanne Basille(basilefamily) and Bev Rousch(bevmom). These two ladies are SUPER talented and their galleries are AMAZING to say the least!! To see this month's gallery, you must be a member of the SCS fanclub, so now is as good a time as any to join!!
Anywho, this card was made for yesterday's Limited Supplies challenge as well as today's Inspiration Challenge. It KINDA fits the My Favorite Things sketch challenge for this week too. I stamped my Scarf For Three image by Stephanie Fizer on watercolor paper with Black Stazon. I then used my SU markers to color it in. After coloring it in, I added some glitter to different parts of the card and liquid applique to the ear muffs and ball on the hat. I layered it with Bashful Blue and Lovely Lilac and then added some spiral clips with purple grosgrain and blue taffeta. The DP is all retired SU- the blue is from the Prints Pack and the Lovely Lilac is from it's prints DSP. I also added a bunch of silver brads, some white organdy and silver cord. I embossed the white layer with my Snowflake embossing folder. My sentiment was punched out with the word window punch and underneath of it was done with my 1 3/8 and scalloped circle punches. My inspiration came from this picture here. When I saw the scarfs, I knew I wanted to use this image. The LSC was to use acrylic stamps, so that was super easy too!!

Well, I really need to get to bed cause I KINDA have to be at work in 5hours...oiy!!
