I don't usually use these colors, and never together, but I got a Cosmo Cricket paper pack on clearance for $4 at Michael's when I was down stamping with Mercy, Jess, and Pam. It was the Ever After and Girl Friday paper packs combined. I knew the colors from Ever After would work PERFECT with the new Domestic Goddess, and A Woman's Place sets.
Ever since I got this set, I have been DYING to use this sentiment. It just SCREAMS Mommy Dearest to me. I chose to color a lot of the kitchen gray, so it would be kind of cold and plain...makes the sentiment that much funnier if you ask me!! I also used Taylor's Sketch from this weekend, awesome as always!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Hope to see you all playing along!!
stamps: Domestic Goddess and A Woman's Place
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
paper: Cosmo Cricket Ever After, Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze, Going Gray, MFT Perfect Panel, and Gina K. White
accessories: Copics, Michael's brads, spiral clips, SU ribbons

MFTeasers- Pure Innocence Monday!!

Judging by how many Pure Innocence cards I see out there, I'm thinking that you all are LOVING this new line from My Favorite Things just as much as I am!! This month, there are three new Pure Innocence Images being released, and I have two of them to show you today!!

For my first card, I used the soon to be released, Lollipop Girl. I just love how darn cute these little girls are!! I used it with this week's Sketch For You To Try. Can you see my Ric Rac behind the image(it's also on the inside)? It was made using the soon to be released Die-namic Ric Rac die. I also used some brown felt from the My Favorite Felt Banana Split collection from MFT.

For the inside, I used more of my SU DP, another piece of felt cut out using my Ric Rac Die-namic, and I also stamped my girl separately, cut her out, and added her on.

For my last card, I used last week's Sketch For You To Try along with the new Mud Buddies set. Isn't she precious?? I LOVED this color combo on my Fred Bear card, so I had to use it again!!

MFTeasers- Fred Bear & the Butterfly

Do you ever make something, and you just can't get over how cute it is?? Well, that rarely, if ever, happens to me...but I am LOVING this card!! I THINK it may have something to do with the fact that it features my new FAVE character from My Favorite Things, Fred Bear. Today's teasers are of the new Emma Blows Kisses, Wyatt Says WOW, and Fred Bear & the Butterfly.
Since I love Fred SOOOOO MUCH, I decided to use him, but never fear, Emma and Wyatt will make it on my blog VERY soon!!

I think, and it's just a guess, but I am loving this card wholly based on the cuteness of my image, which I added the butterflies too, and my color choices. The main image is just of Fred holding his flower. The set comes with two butterflies, as well as two sentiments. I added the butterflies to his nose, and the flower. I LOVE it.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to head to Kim's blog for the full list of people showing teasers today. I love my MFT sisters, and I am SURE they are all going to have something FABULOUS for you!! Have a great day, and a safe weekend!! See you here tomorrow, same time/same place!!

Hey everyone!! I finally got a chance to make a sample using the new Die-namics Ric Rac die being released by My Favorite Things on Wednesday, June 2. Yaaaaayyyy!! I paired it with one of today's teaser sets, What a Day. Love it.

For my next card, I used one of the other teaser sets for today, Baby Makes Three. Isn't it the CUTEST!! This set has the cutest little image, and a few sentiments to go along with it...including one to make birth announcements...NICE!!

New Die-Namics!!!

Hey everyone!! Sorry not to have a sample for today yet, but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to let you know that My Favorite Things is releasing not one, but THREE new Die-namics dies this month!!
The first one is a new element die. It is a two part sun die, YAAAAYYY!! I can't wait to get mine and start playing!!

The next, is our new Ric Rac die. It can be used with paper, or any other material you want to create your own faux ribbon!! SUPER COOL!!

This next one is our Ribbon RE:Creations Grosgrain Texture Board that can be used with the Ric Rac die. It will give your paper, fabric, whatever just a slight bit of texture to give it the look and feel of grosgrain. How sweet is THAT!!

And last, but not least, we have a GRASS die!!! WAHOOO!! I am LOVING this one, as I am SURE you will be too!!

The girl's are showing peeks with these awesome new dies today, so be sure to head to Kim's blog to see who is peeking!! The dies you have seen and heard about here will be released on June 2nd!! To see samples using these dies, and the previously released dies, check out the SCS gallery!!

There She Goes- By The Sea

Hey everyone, and welcome to day two of the There She Goes new release blog hop challenges!! Today's set is called By the Sea!! Here are the details from the There She Goes Blog!!

This beautiful ocean/beach themed set was illustrated by talented Chris Dark. The ocean is one of my very favorite places to be. There is just something so amazingly calming about it that instantly puts me at peace. I’ve had the idea for a beach set for awhile and when I met Chris, I knew that her illustration style would be perfect for it! I sketched up a rough draft of my ideas and emailed them to her. When I received her illustrations a short time later I was absolutely blown away! The way she brought this set to life is just amazing. The detail in her images make you feel as if you are right there at the beach enjoying the calming waves and the salty sea air :)

By The Sea is a 6x8 stamp set that includes a total of 37 stamps and will sell for $24.

Would you like a chance to win the By The Sea stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their By The Sea Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own By The Sea stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday (May 29th) during the Release Party Chat.

Today's hop started at the AMAZING illustrator of this set's blog, Chris Dark. If you are here now, you should have come from Jessica's Blog!!

There are so many wonderful stamps in this set, but I was feeling very simple and serene when I decided to stamp, and this is what happened. I hate missing people, especially when I have no clue why I have to miss them...if you catch my drift. Anyway, there isn't much to this card, and I don't really have any secrets to share, so I am just going to say THANK YOU for stopping by, and send you on your way to the next blog!! Off to Jodi's, where I am sure her card will make you say WOW!!

DD/DDA- Bev's Button Challenge!!

Every month on the 20th, the past and present Dirty Girls host a monthly challenge. I forget about it every month, but my cutie patootie friend, Joanne, reminded us a couple days ago, and I finally got time to play!! This month's challenge was hosted by Bev, who was on the DD during my term as one, as well. Her challenge was to use buttons!! Lots of buttons, in fact, and the only restriction was that you were not allowed to use black of any kind...no ribbon, thread, buttons, or cardstock....not even ink.

For my card, I stamped my image from the There She Goes set, What's Up Buttercup?, on an MFT Perfect Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I then colored it with my Copics. The image was then cut out with Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. I layered it with Celery, Saffron, and Bashful Blue cardstock. My DP is from the SU Delicate Dots pack. I used all SU ribbons, brads from Michael's, spiral clips from Creative Express, and my buttons are from the Paper Studio.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Here is a link to the gallery for this challenge, so you can see what the other DD/DDA's have created!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

I'm Mad About You SFYTT

I told you last night when I posted my My Favorite Things hop card, that I had a card using the new Costumes of Wonderland set, and here it is!! I am in LOVE with this new set....how about you??

I started by stamping my image on an MFT Perfect Panel, and also on some Razzleberry Lemonade DP. I paper pieced parts of her dress, and colored the rest with my Copics. I also stamped the flowers separately, and cut them out. I used Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry cardstock. The sketch I used is Jen's SFYTT from this Saturday. All my ribbons, and punches, are from SU.

For the inside, I used more of the SU DP and cardstock, but I also used my new Die-namics dies. I used the scalloped scallops for the DP edge, and the cloud dies for my sentiment. Aren't they fabulous!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

TSG55- Make an Impression

This week’s challenge over at the There She Goes blog, is being brought to us by Jessica! She challenged us to create a card using line art as your background. This is a fun technique to use when you might not feel like coloring or are short on time. Larger line art type images (like the café from Daily Grind) work great! Simply stamp your image in a light colored ink for the background. You can then use dimensionals to add smaller images (that have been colored and cut out) on top of the background image.

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that utilizes line art as a background, then go to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (May 24th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG55 so we can check out your beautiful work!

So, I'm not sure I did this right, but I tried, lol!! I used my She's A Lady set, yet again. Love it!!! I stamped my image with Memento Rich Cocoa on a piece of Pink Pirouette. I then stamped my bags, and poodle on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored the dog with my Copics. My bags were paper pieced with different pieces of Parisian Summer DSP. My ribbon is SU, as well as my CS, DSP, and punches used for my sentiment. The brad's came from Michael's.

Mojo 138 Congrats Grad!!!

My cousin is graduating from high school in the next week or two, so I decided to go ahead and make his card. Totally out of character, I know, but I kinda like being ahead right at this moment. This is the ONLY thing I am ahead on, but I digress....lol.

I decided to use this week's mojo sketch, and I was COMPLETELY inspired by one of my favorite people's SUPAH CUTE card, Wendy Bond. She rocks, really, she does!! I stamped my Fred Bear Graduates, from My Favorite Things, on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored him with my Copics. I layered him with Bravo Burgundy, and Black Licorice(MFT). My sentiment was punched out with an SU punch, my brads are from SU, all my ribbons are SU, and my buttons are from PTI. The DP I used is from the Parisian Spring DP pack from SU, as well.
Here is a look at what I did for the inside...fun stuff!
Well, that is it for me now!! Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Stampbook Saturday

Hey everyone and welcome to this week's Stampbook Saturday!! This is my first time helping out with this, and I gotta tell you, it was a TON of fun!! In fact, I was so excited, and I knew EXACTLY what picture I wanted to use, so I spent almost an hour trying to locate it!!LOL!! Guess I still have some organizing to do, huh?
Before I get into what my page is all about, here is some info on just what a stampbook page is!!

What is a Stampbook Page? A Stampbook Page is a scrapbook page created using stamps and inspired by a card. Each week I create a new Stampbook Page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos that you've been meaning to scrapbook ;)

So, my inspiration piece was this SUPER gorgeous card made by my fabulous friend, Jodi. Jodi has been one of the most amazing friends I have met through stamping, and although we don't get to talk as much as we used to, I still love her to pieces!! I knew I wanted to use the Fairy Good Day set for my page, seeing as how I had my heart set on using this picture, so I looked in the TSG gallery, and found her card, and was instantly inspired.

So, you probably want to know a little bit about the picture, right? Well, it was taken December of 1999, right before Christmas. My mom and late stepfather paid for my siblings and I, and my cousin Mandy(in the middle), to all go to Disney World for a Christmas present....BEST GIFT EVER!! Not only do I LOVE Disney World, it was the Millennium celebration and everything was just spectacular. On this particular day, my two sisters, cousin, and I all went into one of the stores, and in true to us fashion, decided to have a little fun. My picture was taken of my girls wearing their tiaras, and holding their wands.....HAHAHAHAHA!!! I bet I get into so much trouble if they see I posted this.....hehehehe.

I used SU's Baja Breeze, Cameo Coral, and Walk in the Park DP. My images were stamped on MFT Perfect Panels, and then colored with my Copics. My ribbon is from SU, as well.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my page and were inspired to make one of your own!! There is no better way to preserve a memory, in my opinion!!
Be sure to check out the There She Goes blog for all the going's on at TSG, as well as to check out other Stampbookers!!
