A Creeper Birthday

Tonight is our final night of peeks for The Greeting Farm, and I am having SO MUCH FUN with this month's sets!! I know I don't get to play with their stuff much, but it makes me SO HAPPY when I do!! I mean, seriously, SHE'S SO CUTE!!!!

Half of the designers are showing off the new WS Elena set, tonight, and the other half....including me, are showing off the new Creeper Abbey.....I LOVE HER!! Creepers have GOT to be my favorite of all the TGF stamps, so I was BOUNCING off the walls when I opened her!!

I started my card by stamping my Abbey on a X-Press It blending card, and then I colored her with my Copics. She was then layered with Blue Raspberry, Lemon Drop(both MFT), and Rose Red(SU). My paper is from the LilyBee Designs Happily Lost pack. My ribbons are both from MFT, my brads are from Michael's, and my spiral clip is from Creative Express.

"Don't forget to join us starting at 12:01 am CST TOMORROW on the TGF BLOG and on all the DT members' Blogs for our MAY RELEASE and DT blog hop! The winner of the Blog hop tomorrow will take home the ENTIRE MAY RELEASE...that's a prize pack valued at $48!!! Also, don't be a stranger to our FACEBOOK page for more fun, and also check out all the deets on how YOU can be a part of TGF's 2nd annual "Cards for a Cause" contest!

There's a LOT sprouting up here on the Farm for May...so excited for you to join us!"

Crazy 4 Jolinne!!!

*** scroll down just a bit for my Greeting Farm post!! ***

Hey everyone, and welcome to day two of this month's new release teasers from My Favorite Things. Tonight we are showing off the new Jolinne- Perfect Harmony, Notched Tag and Die-namics set, and Clearly Sentimental About Success. I HAD to use the new Jolinne, she is just TOO PRETTY!!! Before we get to my card, here is all the need to know info!!

Here are the details about the upcoming release on May 3 at 10 PM EST:

  • The MFT release is on May 3 at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on May 3 at 10 PM EST.

  • The guest designer contest is ON! Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.

For my card tonight, I combined my teaser post with this week's Crazy 4 Challenges Challenge. The challenge was to use three different papers, two flowers, and one button. I, of course, used other embellishments, but she didn't say we couldn't, LOL!! I stamped my girl on a piece of X-Press it Blending card, and then colored her with Copics, and paper pieced her. She is layered with Grape Jelly and Sour Apple. My paper is from the LilyBee Designs Picket Fence pack. I used some Honeydew Twine, MFT ribbon from the white collection, and an old MFT button. My flowers...well, I'm not very "user friendly" when it comes to the rolled flower dies. I put a brad in the center of them, but you can't really tell...they are supposed to be daisies...they look like white felt....somethings. The beauty of this is, I LOVE them, so I'm not mad at me...hehe!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and remember to head on over to Kim's blog for a full list of designer participating today!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 20

Hey everyone, and welcome to Forgotten Stamp Friday!! Not familiar with this challenge...well, you should be!! Every week, I challenge myself, and all of you, to make a card using your poor, lonely, dusty, unused, forgotten stamps. I feel guilty with the sheer VOLUME of stamps that I own in comparison to what I ACTUALLY use, so this challenge is one that helps me to ease my guilt a little. There are NO rules, just that you
a)PLAY ALONG
b) use a stamp that is either unused or owned and un-inked for 6 months
c) come back and add yourself to the linky thingy so I can see what you've done
d) be sure if you upload to SCS, that you use the keyword FSF20...that way I can find you!!

For this week's card, I decided to use an old Fred Bear!! He was actually one of the first Fred Bear images we released, and is still one of my favorites!! My sketch is also this week's Wednesday Stamp Club. I stamped my Fred on an X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored it with my Copics. I then layered him with Red hot and Black Licorice. My DP is from Echo Park.
I used MFT ribbon, and Michael's brads.

For the inside, I did more of the same!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Don't forget to add yourself to my linky thingy.

Monochromatic Mojo

Hey everyone!! We are having some CRAZY weather here in Southern Illinois, how about you? Last night there were some TERRIBLE storms that came through, and they did a TON of damage to my little town. It will be weeks before clean-up is done, but luckily, no one was reported to be injured or killed from the storms. We got lucky!!
Tonight's card is for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch and the There She Goes challenge from their blog. Here are the details, just incase you want to play along!!

This week’s challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the Week, Karen. She wants us to create a monochromatic card. In order to do that you would choose one or more shades of one color along with ONE neutral color to use in your creation. We can’t wait to see what you come up
with!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that utilizes monochromatic coloring, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Apr. 25th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG103 so we can check out your beautiful work!

For my card, I used the MME Stella and Rose Hattie collection. I used the MFT Simply Scallop Die-namics, and an SU punch for my tag. My ribbon came from SU, and my brads are from Michaels. My image, from the new My Little Friend stamp set, was stamped on an X=Press It Blending card, and then colored with my Copics. I used Not Quite navy and Night of Navy.

I used some satin MFT ribbon, part of the white collection, brads from Michael's, and spiral clips from Creative Express. My sentiment on the front is actually one from the free, limited edition, VIP companion set. I used the Bracket Edge Die-namic, Simply Scalloped Die-namic, and my Upsy Daisy Die-namics. My cardstock colors are Close To Cocoa and Ocean Tides(PTI).

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, as well as, a sentiment from the VIP set. I LOVE the way they work together!!

For my card, I started by stamping my image on an X-Press it Blending card, and then I colored it with my Copics. I then layered her with Red Hot and Black Licorice. My DP is from the Cosmo Cricket, For the Record Collection. I cut the black out with my High Tea Doily Die-namic, and the red with my Textile Rectangle Die-namic. My ribbon and twine are both from MFT, and my brads are from American Crafts.

For the inside, I used another sentiment, and more of the same supplies from the front of the card. I wanted to use the REST of what was left after cutting out the Doily, so I used it as a layer.....cool, huh?!
