Ribbon Carousel/Nikki Sivils Blog Hop

The Ribbon Carousel Crewmates are teaming up with the talented designers from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker  to bring you a blog hop jam packed with crafty eye candy and some prizes to sweeten the pot at the end of the hop!! I had so much fun going through all their paper collections...it almost made me want to be a scrapbooker! LOL

Instead of scrapbooking, I made a card using the new Donkey University set from There She Goes. I LOVE this cute little donkey and his nifty shirt sayings. I paired him with the Nikki Sivils Noah Collection Kit. I used two different papers from the kit, which I paired with Fossil(MFT), Really Rust(SU), and Night of Navy(SU) cardstock. My ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel-White Twill and Natural Jute Twine. To finish, I added some brads from Creative Expressions.

Now, lets talk prizes! The Ribbon Carousel will be giving away a $25 gift certificate to the Ribbon Carousel Store and Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker will be giving away a scrapbooking kit (winner's choice!)  Enjoy the hop and be sure to leave some blog love along your way to be eligible for the prizes!  Winners will be announced Saturday night at 8:00 PM EST.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!

Back to School with the Ribbon Carousel

Hey Everyone!! It's time for another Ribbon Carousel challenge, and
This week our super talented Crewmate Wendy Ramlakhan is challenging us to create something with a "Back to School" theme.  The kids will be going back before we know it so get crackin' on making some back to school treats for the kids and the teachers!

For my card, I used the Pure Innocence You Make the Grade set. I stamped her on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. I followed this month's Guest Designer sketch from MFT, too. My cardstock colors are Bazzill Peppermint, Blu Raspberry(MFT),Orange Fizz(MFT), and Sweet Tooth(MFT). My colors were inspired by the new MME A Mother's Love paper pad...it is SO gorgeous!! I used White Twill ribbon, and Red Jute Twine for my ribbons, and the MFT By the Letters Die-namics for my letters. The only other things I added are Michael's brads, a Creative Express Spiral Clip, and a tab cut out with the MFT Mini Tabs Die-namics.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check out the Ribbon Carousel Blog for more details and samples! Better check out the MFT Guest designer contest, too!!

TSG171-Be My Squishy

Hey everyone! It's time for another There She Goes challenge, and this week, Kim Teasdale is challenging us to make a card using the sketch she provided. I LOVE a good sketch challenge, so I had to play. I didn't get a chance to use the new Enjoy Life-By the Sea set during the release, either, so I jumped at the chance to use it! It's darn near irresistible!

For my card, I started by cutting out my shapes using the Enjoy Life dies. I then stamped my jellyfish heads and legs(tentacles...googling...hold please...tentacles, yes) on their cut out shapes, and colored them. I LOVE that Jessica had Melyssa design a set PERFECT for these dies...it makes them SO much more versatile!!!  My paper is from the Lime Rickey Basic Grey pad, and I paired it with Wild Cherry, Orange Fizz, and Sour Apple card stock from MFT. My oval and it's scalloped oval layer are from the MFT Die-namics Oval Stax and Oval Open Scalloped Doily Duo. To finish, I used some Michael's brads and some Red V Striped Twill ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out the There She Goes blog for more details, and to see which of my teammates are playing along!!

Have a great day!

C4C151-Inspired By My Girls

My nieces were at my house today, and they wanted to see me make a card...how can you tell their cute little faces no? You can't says me!!!LOL

I let them decide on everything, but had to control a bit of it since I had PROMISED I would put it on my blog...so here goes girlies, this one's for you!!

This week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge is a sketch being hosted by Silke Ledlow. The girls chose to use the new On the Move stamp set from There She Goes. I colored my image on X-Press It blending card with my Copics, and then layered it with Bazzill Cotton Candy, SU Cool Caribbean, and MFT Fossil. I used the Echo Park Hello Summer paper pad, SU punches for my sentiment, MFT Pink Lemonade, and finished off with some Michael's brads. I used the MFT Photo Corners Die-namics for my corner.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out the Crazy 4 Challenges blog to see who all is playing along!

I drew the grass in with my Copics, and added a tree die cut(which was cut in half) using the MFT Sheltering Tree Die-namics. I cut it out of Hot Fudge card stock, and cut the leaves out of Jellybean Green. My image was layered with Banana Split(Bazzill), Orange Fizz(MFT), and Hot Fudge(MFT) cardstock. For my paper, I used the Jillibean Soup Dutch Mustard pad, and I used Michael's brads and Hot Fudge Grosgrain. To make my scene complete, I used Sunshine Die-namics and Cloud Trio Die-namics

On the Move Blog Hop Challenge

Here we are on our fourth, and final, day of peeks for this month's new release, and we are ending it with an ADORABLE set from Torico!!

Torico has created the most adorable moving set,  which we think will help to ease the pain of moving just a little! Most people do NOT like to move, and this super cute set has an image and sentiment for every occasion, whether you be the one moving, or if you are sending one to a friend or family member. With a major transition such as moving, a hand stamped greeting is JUST the thing to say goodbye, hello, or just a plain welcome to the neighborhood….and there’s a DOG!!!!

On the Move is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 22 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

For my card today, I combined it with the I Spy Sketch for this week! I stamped my girl on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was layered with Fossil cardstock. My paper is from the MME Bluebell paper pad, and was layered with Not Quite Navy, Jawbreaker(Bazzill), and Banana Split card stock. The ribbon I used is Leather Tan seam binding, and I used some Creative Express brads.

Would you like to win the new On the Move stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.
