TSG188-Sponging with Diecuts

Hey everyone! It's almost New Years, and I gotta say, I am SO READY for a new year. This year has seen some ups, but quite a few downs for not only me, but my family, and friends as well. I REALLY hope we catch a break next year...fingers crossed!!
Anywho, it's time for this week's There She Goes challenge, and this week we are sponging with Die-cuts. Tobi has given some pretty awesome directions on the TSG blog, so be sure to check it out for instructions on how to use this technique. I had some fun with mine, but I got a new camera for Christmas, so I am trying to get it all lines out. Wish me luck!

For my card, I used the SUPER cute new Smarty Pants set, paired iwth some Echo Park For The Record 2 paper. I paired it with Gumdrop Green, Orange Fizz, Black Licorice, and Sweet Tooth card stock all from MFT. My ribbon is Black Licorice from MFT, and my buttons are the same as my cardstock colors...also from MFT. I used the Designer Labels Stax 4 Die-namics to cut out my image, and it was sponged with Memento Cantaloupe ink. My background was created using the Chevron Stripes Die-namics

Well, that is it for me for now! For more details on this week's challenge, or to see what my teammates have been up to, check out the TSG blog!!

A Gift For You...

When I saw this week's Deconstructed Sketch, I automatically thought of the new Sparkly & Bright set from There She Goes. This week's challenge at the TSG blog is last minute Christmas themed, and since I needed another card or two, this was perfect! I am also SLIGHTLY obsessed with the Carta Bella Winter Fun paper pad, so it just worked out well all around!

For my card, as I stated before, I used the Sparkly & Bright set paired with my Carta Bella Winter Fun paper pad. My cardstock colors are Fossil, Paver Red, Sweet Tooth(all from MFT), and Taken With Teal(SU). I used the MFT Simply Scalloped Die-namics for my border, and my other embellishments are Michael's brads, Paver Red grosgrain(MFT), and Natural Jute Twine(May Arts).

Well that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out the Deconstructed Sketch, as well as this week's There She Goes challenge! Have a great day!

Life's a Struggle....

I don't know why, but this sentiment rang so true to me tonight, that I had to make this card. The holiday's are always such a stressful time, and it truly is a juggling act to make it through alive.

The sentiment I was referring to is part of the Kraftin' Kimmie set Clementine. I paper pieced her skirt with some MME Honey paper, and then colored the rest of her with my Copics. My cardstock colors are Banana Split, Candy Hearts(both from Bazzil), Black Licorice and Sweet Tooth(both from MFT). I used the MFT Circle Die-namics to cut out my circle background, and the At The Movies Die-namics for my ticket sentiment. To accent my card, I used Michael's brads, Black Licorice grosgrain, and the MFT Framing Flourishes Die-namics.

Well, that is it for me for now! I hope your holiday stress is over, and you are happy, healthy, and safe with the ones you love! Have a great day!

December Creative Challenge-Background Building

The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we were challenged to do some background building using our MFT Stamps and Die-namics.  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a project to share with you today.

For my card I used the Harlequin Border Die-namics along with Wild Cherry, Jellybean Green, and Fossil cardstock to create my background. I then layered them on Sweet Tooth cardstock. My sentiment is from the Seasonal Sentiments set, and was stamped with Jellybean Green ink on the Textile Rectangle Frame Die-namics. I then cut out my wreath using the Winter Wreath Die-namics and my cardstock colors of Jellybean Green and Wild Cherry. I cut out three of the wreaths and two bows to add dimension. I used a brad from Michael's to pull it all together, as well as a bow using Kraft ribbon.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.
