You Know It Had To Happen!!!

You know I had to go back to Easter cards right??? Of course you did!!! I have to tell you, I was a little afraid to post this card tonight, and it has nothing to do with this card, which I adore. It has to do with the fact that the card I made last night has made quite the impression. I have been posting cards pretty much everyday since last October. I have had some pretty popular ones, at least I thought so. Well today imagine my surprise when I log in over on SCS and I already have 63 comments by noon. I played around on the Internet for awhile, commenting and such, and by the time I decided to do something else(still stamping related of course), I was up to 83. 83 WOW!!! I was floored. I messed around cleaning up my ribbon containers for 4 hours, yes I said 4, while I watched TV. When I finally got back on to Splitcoast, I had a PM waiting for me from my SCS friend Jodi(kharmagirl) saying it was at 91. HOLY CRAP!!! By the time I had this card made and posted, it is now sitting in the gallery next to a card that has 118 comments, how the heck am I gonna top that!!! So even though I love this card, it is very intimidated sitting next to that card. Can you see it shaking in it's boots!!LOL
For this card I used today's sketch over on SCS. It is actually very similar to the sketch that Jen del Muro used this week, the only difference is the placement of the "circle" or in my case flower. I started with a Certainly Celery base in standard size. I layered Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. The bottom panel is Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, and Certainly Celery DSP. I know I know, but I had to put those brads through there other wise it would have looked so boring!! The brads I used are from the Soft Subtles brads. The main image panel was stamped on Whisper White with Black Stazon. I used the super cute bunny from the Gina K. set Just So Hoppy designed by the very talented Melanie Muenchinger. I used my SU markers to color in the grass(Certainly Celery highlighted with Always Artichoke). The sky was done by using my aquapainter and my Bashful Blue pad. The bunny just got a little Pretty in Pink on its ears and nose and lips. The flower was also colored in with the same marker, but I did highlight it with the Regal Rose marker. I outlined the whole bunny with my Cool Grey prismacolor marker. I made a mini ribbon blossom using Celery grosgrain and pink and blue gingham. I attached my flowers with a pop up glue dot. It is actually three flowers, one pink, one white and then one green. I couldn't figure out where to put the sentiment, so I didn't.

Well, that is all for me for today!! Thanks for looking and don't forget to sign up for my blog candy, you have until Thursday at midnight!!!
