Crazy 4 Owls

Hey everyone and welcome to this week's Crazy 4 Challenges, challenge!! It is Frances' birthday, and since it is her turn to host, we are using one of her favorite things.…… OWLS!! If you don’t have Owls in your collection use some other sort of bird … but she would love to see those owls!

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C129. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

For my card, I used an older My Favorite Things set, Owls and Bluebells. I stamped my image on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored it with my Copics. I then cut it out with my Oval Stax Die-namics, and the Oval Open Scalloped Doily Die-namics in Hot Fudge. The other card stock colors I used are Berrylicious and Sour Apple. My papers are from the Jillibean Soup Dutch Mustard and Spotted Owl pads. I used the Small Open Scalloped Strip Die-namics for my border. My ribbon is Walnut Vintage Seam Binding from the Ribbon Carousel, and I used Honeydew Twinery Twine. My button was cut out with the Button Quartet Die-namics, and my sentiment with the First Place Award Die-namics.

For the inside, I used another sentiment from this set, and the same supplies.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to blurf around and see what my teammates have created for you to see!!

Zoo-pendous Blog Hop Challenge!!

Hey everyone, and welcome to our FINAL night of There She Goes Blog Hop Challenges!! Tonight, we have the CUTEST ANIMAL SET EVER!! I mean, seriously, IT'S SO CUUUUUUTE!!!!!(think FLUUUUUFFY, and you will know what I am going for, here, LOL)

Tonight's hop started at the There She Goes Blog, so head on back there to get started. If you are here now, you should have come from Jessica's Blog..she is FABULOSO!!!

Peacocks, and hippos and snakes, oh my! Judy Rozema was our lucky winner from this year’s Mother Of All Blog Hops and one of her prizes was the chance to work with TSG to design a stamp set in a theme of her choice. She said that she would like a fun zoo stamp set that incorporated some animals that are different than you might find in other stamp sets and we knew just who the perfect illustrator would be for this! Melyssa’s adorably whimsical zoo animals will have you going wild!

Zoo-pendous is a 6x8 set that will sell for $24.

Would you like a chance to win the Zoo-pendous stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Zoo-pendous Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Zoo-pendous stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday July 30th during the Release Party Chat.

I am not all that thrilled with my card, but I am a procrastinator at heart, and I have worked the last 8 days straight...I'm tired, so bare with me!! I DO love the image, the sentiment, and the colors....just not sure...I think I missed something with this one. I started with a previous Taylored Expressions Sketch. I colored my peacock on X-Press It Blending card with my Copics, and then layered it with Night of Navy, Rich Razzelberry(both SU), and Sour Apple(MFT). My ribbon is SU, and my twine is Lilac from MFT. The brads I used are from Michael's, and the spiral clip is from Creative Express. For my paper, I used My Mind's Eye, Lime Twist, Happy Go Lucky....I swear, I love their paper but HOLY LONG NAME STAMPMAN!!!

Well, that is enough chatter out of me! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Next stop, my ever fabulous, and totally over the top talented SBFF, Jodi Collins!! LOVE HER!!

For my first card, I paired the new Heartfelt set(designed by the same artist that did Loveosaurus). She was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel, then colored with Copics. I paired her with some Berry Bliss DP from SU, Pink Pirouette, Purely Pomegranate, and Close To Cocoa. My sentiment panel was created using the Hearts a Plenty Die-namic, and I cut the saying out and rounded the corners myself. My sketch is a previous Taylored Expressions Sketch.

For the inside, I used more of the hearts, and DP, and some brads from Michael's.

For my next card, I paired the new Jolinne with some Origins DP from Basic Grey. My image was stamped on a perfect panel, and then colored with my Copics. I added some MFT ribbon, as well as SU ribbon. The brads I used are from Michael's. My sketch was from Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.

There She Goes-It's Release Time!!!

Hey everyone, and welcome to this month's new release blog hop challenges from There She Goes!! This month, we are having three blog hop challenges, but releasing 4 new sets!! Tonight's hop started at the There She Goes blog...if you are here now, you should have come from Jessica's blog!! And speaking of Jessica, the awesome owner of this FABULOUS company, here is some info about the new sets, in her own words, and how to enter the challenge!!

“One of my favorite things about the holidays is creating handmade projects for those that I love. But one thing to remember is that the packaging is just as important as the gift itself! Torico has done a beautiful job illustrating this tag set that can not only be used for the holidays but is versatile enough to use all year long!”

Just For You is a 4x6 stamp set that includes a total of 15 stamps and will sell for $15.

“I am so excited to share this stamp set with you today! When Torico first showed me her ideas for this set, I was instantly smitten. The three little girls that are included in this set are absolutely adorable and you are going to love coloring in the accessory images that are included!! “

Wrapped In Joy is a 4x6 stamp set that includes a total of 16 stamps and will sell for $15.

Would you like a chance to win the Just For You/Wrapped In Joy stamp sets? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Just For You/Wrapped In Joy Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Just For You/Wrapped In Joy stamp sets. The winner will be announced Saturday (Nov. 27 ) during the Release Party Chat.

For my card tonight, I started by stamping my little girl on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored her in with my Copics, and paper pieced her balloons using some YUMMY Pasta Fagioli paper from Jillibean soup. I then cut her out using my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties, layered her with Crushed Curry, Bashful Blue, and Sour Apple card stock, and then pierced a border around her. I get asked a TON about my piercing, so I thought I would throw this out there for all those inquiring minds...for my circles and my ovals, I use a Cuttlebug and Nestabilities to cut them out. What's awesome about this is the fact that it leaves a neat little embossed line around the inside of the oval or circle. For my piercing, I don't use a template, I just follow or go directly on that embossed line. It takes a little practice, but I KNOW you can do it!! For all other shapes...I use the SU Mat Pack. Mine is SUPER wore out, but I am still muddling through!! Ok, back to the card!! I used Taylor's sketch from Friday, and some SU ribbons. My spiral clip is from Creative Express, and I got my brads at Michael's.

Well, that is it for me for now!! The next stop on the hop is Jodi...aka. SUPER MOM!!! Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to leave some LOVE!!

Naughty or Nice? MFT HOP!!

It is one of my FAVORITE days of the month....yep, NEW RELEASE DAY at My Favorite Things!! I swear, I get just as excited as a designer as I did as a customer!! This month, we have so much yumminess coming out, it's almost a crime!! I would say Kim has been NAUGHTY...but we all know she is NOTHING but NICE!!! Speaking of Kim, she started our hop tonight, as always....so if you haven't been there...Go. Right. NOW!!! If you are here now, you should have come from the most amazing and talented...Susan's Blog!!

My job tonight is to show you the SUPER CUTE new You Spin Me Additions set, which coordinates with the Game Day Spinner Die-namic.

For my card, I stamped my images using Real Red, Wild Wasabi, and Memento Rich Cocoa ink. My spinner wheel was cut out of a piece of DCWV Christmas DP. The actual arrow was cut out of a piece of Wild Wasabi. I used Red Hot and Wild Wasabi card stock, my white is from Gina K.. I followed Taylor's sketch from this past Friday, as well. My ribbon is from MFT, and my brads are all from Michael's.

My scallops were cut out using the Little Open Scalloped Strip Die-namic. They were cut out of Wild Wasabi, and paired with some more yummy DP.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies...and I actually oopsied on the sentiment, and made it a little crooked, so instead of starting over, I stamped it again, punched it out, and covered it up!! lol!!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Have fun on the rest of the hop!! Now Ladies, get your bibs on...your next stop is...Jody's Blog!!! DROOL!!
