November MFT Blog Hop!!

It's time for another blog hop with My Favorite Things, and I am LOVING this month's release as usual!! Today's hop started at Kim's blog, so if you haven't been there, go there to get started!! From there, you should have come from Amy's Blog where I am POSITIVE she has WOWed you with her creations!! I am actually the last stop on this month's hop, so I hope you have LOVED what you have seen so far! My bit of need to know info for this month is about the one click collection- the Pure Innocence collection contains all 5 new PI sets, you can find it here. The five other new release sets are part of a one click collection too, you can find it here.

My project for this month's hop is a wall hanging I made using the new Snow Day set from the Pure Innocence line. I am LOVING these cutie little images!! I stamped mine on am MFT perfect panel and colored it with my Copics. I then added the Liquid Applique to the snow and the fluffy parts of her outfit. The image was then layered with Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip. The base of the wall hanging was a raw wood cutout that I got in the craft department at Walmart. I then painted it white with acrylic paint. After it dried, I added some Ski Slope DSP to the base and sanded the edges. The oval was cut out of more DSP with my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. All my ribbons are from SU, as well as the corduroy button. I did use some Heidi Swapp ghost snowflake shapes as well, and a spiral clip from Joanne's.
Well, that is it for me now!! Hope you had fun on the hop...now get shopping!!

MFTeaser- Cool Yule

Hey everyone, and welcome to day 4 of this month's new release teasers from My Favorite Things. Today's set is Cool Yule, and it is TOO CUTE!! I am LOVING this release though, so no shock that I think it is adorable, right??!!

For my card, I stamped my ice cube on an MFT Perfect Panel and then cut it out using my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. I then used a Copic to highlight and then added crystal effects to it. For the penguin, I stamped and colored it separately, then cut it out and added it to my ice. My DP is from SU, but it is retired. I paired it with Riding Hood Red and Old Olive. My ribbons are from SU, as well as the buttons, my clips came from Joanne's. I used Mercy's sketch for today for my layout as well.
Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to check out the rest of the DT!! I'm sure they will wow you!!

For my card today, I used the super cute Apple For You set. I stamped my girl on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored her in with my Copics. I then layered her with Bashful Blue, Old Olive and Real Red. I drew my color inspiration from my Summer Picnic DSP from SU, and my sketch is Taylor's Sketch from Friday. I used my SU circle punches to make the sentiment panel, as well as my middle sized oval punch. My brads and all the ribbon are from SU, and my spiral clips are from Joanne's. I did a bunch of piercing and it was done!! Be sure to check out the other DT members that have made cards showcasing this AWESOME new line!! Have fun!!

Tree Trimming with Flopsey!!

Hey everyone, welcome to day two of the November new release teasers from My Favorite Things. Today we are featuring two sets, Gifty Girl(past kit set) and Tree Trimming Flopsey. Since you know how much I LOVE my Flopsey's, I decided to use him today!!

I started by stamping my tree, star and ornaments, along with Flopsey on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored them all with my Copics. I made a little mistake on my original stamped Flopsey, so instead of starting over, I just stamped a new one and cut it out..easy fix!! I then cut the main image panel out and layered it with Regal Rose, Real Red, and Wild Wasabi. My sketch was this week's SCS sketch. I added some SU ribbons around the card and on a spiral clip. I did my normal piercing, but not as much as I usually do, and added some silver brads. My sentiment was punched out with the Modern Label punch from SU.
After it was all put together, I added some Crystal Effects to the ornaments to make them shiny and 3D.
Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to check out the rest of the design team's creations!! The members posting today are:

Have fun and enjoy the peeks!!

If you are back here, you should have come from our fearless leader, Jessica's blog.

I was gonna go for Christmas, but decided to go for fall!! I stamped the cornucopia image on an MFT perfect panel and colored it with my Copics. The DP is from the Apple Cider DSP pack from SU(retired), and I paired it with Chocolate Chip and Really Rust. The ribbons are all from SU, and the spiral clip is from Joanne's. More Verve Sketches

This month's Verve release is now available and the new sets are STUNNERS to say the least!! When Julee asked me to GuestDiva, I knew they would be, but WOW!! Today I am in a huge hurry, but I didn't want to leave my blog unattended for yet another day, so here is another card I made for the release. It was for the second Verve Release Sketch(vsoct09b).
I used the gorgeous new Star of Wonder set. This was a fairly simple card to make too, which I am kinda starting to love now that my stamping time has taken a direct hit on my list of things to do everyday. I started by stamping the sentiment with Sahara Sand ink on a piece of Gina K. White. I then stamped some of the stars over it with Bordering Blue ink that had been stamped off once. The DP is from Heidi Grace and has so much texture to it...all the white dots are fuzzy-LOVE IT!! The ribbons are from SU, as well as the brads, and my spiral clips are from Joanne's. I did some piercing, and it was done.
Be sure to check out the Verve website where Julee has the new releases on sale, as well as all fall and winter sets, until November 15th or while supplies last.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Believe Blog Hop

Welcome to the Verve Believe Blog Hop. If you’ve just happened across my blog, you’ll want to start back at the beginning (http://poeticartistry.blogspot.com/) and hop your way along. Today we’re hopping for the Cure, sharing projects from a new set Verve just released called Believe. This set was designed in honor of breast cancer awareness and Verve is donating $10 from the sale of every Believe set to the Susan G Komen For the Cure foundation. We believe that we can make a difference. We believe that each day should be celebrated, each moment cherished and that every little thing we can do in the fight to find a cure matters.
For my card today, I decided to combine the Verve release sketch A with this week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge. I started by stamping my stems in Memento Tuxedo Black then adding the flowers. The two pink flowers were stamped directly on the panel, the one red was actually stamped, colored, and cut out separately. To make it more interesting, I decided to go out of the box with my flowers, and I am so glad I did!! The DP is retired SU Bella Rose and I paired it with Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette. The white was run through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. I then added some pink May Arts ribbon, and some SU Riding Hood Red taffeta. My brads are from SU, and I used the scalloped oval punch for my sentiment.

Well, thanks for hopping by! Since I am the last stop on the hop, here is a link to the Verve Store so that you can get shopping PRONTO!! Oh, and we’ve got a special gift hidden along our hop for one lucky commenter, so if you see something you really love, give a little shout out and you just might win a $30 gift certificate to Verve!
