Dare To Get Dirty!!

I don't know if you have been playing along, but it is Dare To Get Dirty time at SCS!! The fun started yesterday, when Jen kicked everything off with a fabulous challenge!! These challenges are for fan club members, so if you aren't already a member, now's your chance to join, and join in the fun!! I was honored that fellow DD/DDA member, Deb Saaranen(DeborahLynneS) asked if I would like to make a sample for her challenge. If you can't tell by my card, her challenge was all about texture, and there is a TON of it on my card!! My main image is Angel Sophia from Paper Pretties. She was stamped on watercolor paper and then watercolored using my SU reinkers and an aquapainter. I cut her out and added her to my SU Whisper White oval. It was then layered with Not Quite Navy. The wings have a touch of glitter on them from my Sakura Stardust glitter pen, and the trim on her dress was done with Liquid Applique. The DP is from Heidi Grace, and has a ton of texture to it as well. The White layer on the back was run through my Cuttlebug with the snowflakes folder. All my ribbons are retired SU, the brads are from Hobby Lobby, and my sentiment is from the retired SU Season's Greetings(I think).
Well, that is it for me now, be sure to check out the challenges and play along!! Have fun!!

Makin' a Splash with the Prettie Weekly Challenge

Hey everyone, Happy Friday!! If you didn't already know, every week on Thursday, Danielle announces a new challenge in the Paper Pretties forum. This week's challenge is this super cute sketch!! I am LOVING it. If you want to play along, be sure to check out the challenge forum at the Paper Pretties website and use the PWC62 keyword when uploading there and on SCS(or whatever gallery you use). Then be sure to post in the challenge thread with a link to your card!! We can't wait to see what you came up with for this awesome sketch!! For my card, I chose to use the SUPER cute Make A Splash Sophia. She was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored in with my Copics. I layered her with Kiwi Kiss. The DP is all from the Good Morning Sunshine DP pack from SU(now retired), and was also paired with Pacific Point and Summer Sun. I added Joann's spiral clips with SU ribbons on them. I also used Hobby Lobby silver brads. The sentiment was punched out with my SU word window punch.
Be sure to play along, and I can't wait to see what you come up with!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!!!
