Confidential/Garden of Life Blog Hop Challenge

Welcome to the first day of sneak peeks! Today the Trendsetters will be showing you samples made with two new stamp sets (to be released Saturday evening after the release party chat) Confidential and Garden Of Life. Not only are you going to get to enjoy lots of eye candy by participating in the blog hop today, but you will also have the opportunity to win both of the sets being shown off!

Tonight's hop started at the There She Goes Blog so if you haven't been there, go there now!! If you are here now, you should have come from Jessica's Blog..isn't she the BEST!!

Have a bad day at the office? Or maybe you have a bad office every day? ;) If either of these pertains to your situation, you will definitely enjoy this tongue-and-cheek set illustrated by Jessica…and anyone would be happy to receive a creation using this hilarious set!

Confidential is a 4X6 stamp set that includes a total of 12 stamps and will sell for $15.

For my first card, I started with the main image from the new Confidential set. She was stamped on an X-Press It Blending card, and then colored with my Copics. After coloring her, I layered her with Taken With Teal, So Saffron(SU), and Hot Fudge(MFT). My paper is from the My Mind's Eye, Stella and Rose-Gertie line. My ribbon is from MFT, and my brads are from Michael's. I used the Bracket Edge Die-namic, as well.
*******************************************
Once again Chris Dark has amazed us with a whimsical and spring-inspired stamp set. Who wouldn’t want to be outside enjoying the scenes of spring as everything comes to life? This set is a celebration of exactly that!

Garden of Life is a 3X4 stamp set that includes a total of 7 stamps and will sell for $7.

For my next card, I stamped the flower on an X-Press It Blending card. I then colored it with my Copics, drew(not very well, but hey) in some grass, and then layered it with Lemon Drop and Hot Fudge card stock(MFT). My ribbons are both from MFT, and my brads are from Michael's. I followed a sketch that I found on the Stampin' When I Can blog, as well. Again, I used the same MME paper pack...I am in LOVE with their paper right now.

Would you like a chance to win the Confidential and Garden of Life stamp sets? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Confidential / Garden of Life Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Confidential / Garden of Life stamp sets. The winner will be announced Saturday (Apr. 30th) during the Release Party Chat.

Well, that is it for me for now!!It is time to send you off to Julie's Blog, where I am POSITIVE she is going to WOW you with her talent....she always WOWs me!!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 20

Hey everyone, and welcome to Forgotten Stamp Friday!! Not familiar with this challenge...well, you should be!! Every week, I challenge myself, and all of you, to make a card using your poor, lonely, dusty, unused, forgotten stamps. I feel guilty with the sheer VOLUME of stamps that I own in comparison to what I ACTUALLY use, so this challenge is one that helps me to ease my guilt a little. There are NO rules, just that you
a)PLAY ALONG
b) use a stamp that is either unused or owned and un-inked for 6 months
c) come back and add yourself to the linky thingy so I can see what you've done
d) be sure if you upload to SCS, that you use the keyword FSF20...that way I can find you!!

For this week's card, I decided to use an old Fred Bear!! He was actually one of the first Fred Bear images we released, and is still one of my favorites!! My sketch is also this week's Wednesday Stamp Club. I stamped my Fred on an X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored it with my Copics. I then layered him with Red hot and Black Licorice. My DP is from Echo Park.
I used MFT ribbon, and Michael's brads.

For the inside, I did more of the same!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Don't forget to add yourself to my linky thingy.

Monochromatic Mojo

Hey everyone!! We are having some CRAZY weather here in Southern Illinois, how about you? Last night there were some TERRIBLE storms that came through, and they did a TON of damage to my little town. It will be weeks before clean-up is done, but luckily, no one was reported to be injured or killed from the storms. We got lucky!!
Tonight's card is for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch and the There She Goes challenge from their blog. Here are the details, just incase you want to play along!!

This week’s challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the Week, Karen. She wants us to create a monochromatic card. In order to do that you would choose one or more shades of one color along with ONE neutral color to use in your creation. We can’t wait to see what you come up
with!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that utilizes monochromatic coloring, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Apr. 25th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG103 so we can check out your beautiful work!

For my card, I used the MME Stella and Rose Hattie collection. I used the MFT Simply Scallop Die-namics, and an SU punch for my tag. My ribbon came from SU, and my brads are from Michaels. My image, from the new My Little Friend stamp set, was stamped on an X=Press It Blending card, and then colored with my Copics. I used Not Quite navy and Night of Navy.
Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Girl's RULE VIP hop!!!

Hey Everyone, and welcome to tonight's VIP blog hop for My Favorite Things. Tonight, along with releasing the two FABULOUS a la mode sets that we have shown the last two days, we will also be releasing this month's VIP package!! This package is a one day only, first come first serve kinda thing, so be sure to get your order in ASAP!! Tonight's hop started at Kim's blog, but if you are here now, you should have come from Melody's blog!!

This month's package is FABULOUS...wanna see? Of COURSE you do!!

Amazing, right??

So, for my card tonight, I stamped my image on a X-press It Blending card. I then paper pieced her dress with some MME Stella and Rose Hattie dp. The rest of the image was colored with my Copics. I used some satin MFT ribbon, part of the white collection, brads from Michael's, and spiral clips from Creative Express. My sentiment on the front is actually one from the free, limited edition, VIP companion set. I used the Bracket Edge Die-namic, Simply Scalloped Die-namic, and my Upsy Daisy Die-namics. My cardstock colors are Close To Cocoa and Ocean Tides(PTI).

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, as well as, a sentiment from the VIP set. I LOVE the way they work together!!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thank you so much for stopping by, and have fun on the hop!! Off to Joanne's Blog!!

à la modes- Grad Girl

It is day two of this month's à la modes reveal, and I am LOVING this month's sets!! These super sassy, AWESOMELY drawn chicks are to DIE for!! Not familiar with this AWESOME line of stamps from My Favorite Things? Well, here is all the need to know info...and believe me, you NEED to know!!
  • à la modes will be available only in rubber
  • Each set is produced in the USA using the highest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.
  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!
  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety after purchase.
  • $10.95 for the 3 x 4" set.

For my card, I started by stamping my image on an X-Press it Blending card, and then I colored it with my Copics. I then layered her with Red Hot and Black Licorice. My DP is from the Cosmo Cricket, For the Record Collection. I cut the black out with my High Tea Doily Die-namic, and the red with my Textile Rectangle Die-namic. My ribbon and twine are both from MFT, and my brads are from American Crafts.

For the inside, I used another sentiment, and more of the same supplies from the front of the card. I wanted to use the REST of what was left after cutting out the Doily, so I used it as a layer.....cool, huh?!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a full list of designers participating in today's peeks!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Easter Gift

Hi everyone! It's time for another Crazy 4 Challenges, challenge!! Silke Kittmann our hostess this month has another fun challenge for us all.

Being the third Saturday of the month, this week's challenge is a sponsored challenge. This month our sponsor is Krisi's Kreations. Krisi's store sells templates which are available in a number of different formats, including PSD, TIFF, PNG, PDF & SVG.

With Easter just around the corner Silke has challenged us to create an Easter Gift .... make a basket, a box or whatever you wish.

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C83. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

For my project tonight, I used a previously sent to me die cut(from one of my favorite people, Jody Morrow). I think she sent me them in an attempt to make me an alter-er...but I am just NOT that girl. I DID, however, enjoy making this, but it was super simple. I stamped my Pure Innocence- One Sweet Chick on an X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored it with my Copics...well, the parts I didn't paper piece using some new My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Hazel paper pad. I used some MFT ribbon, and some Blossom Twine. My brads are from Michael's.
Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! Be sure to blurf around and check out the other crazies!!
