Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 20

Hey everyone, and welcome to Forgotten Stamp Friday!! Not familiar with this challenge...well, you should be!! Every week, I challenge myself, and all of you, to make a card using your poor, lonely, dusty, unused, forgotten stamps. I feel guilty with the sheer VOLUME of stamps that I own in comparison to what I ACTUALLY use, so this challenge is one that helps me to ease my guilt a little. There are NO rules, just that you
a)PLAY ALONG
b) use a stamp that is either unused or owned and un-inked for 6 months
c) come back and add yourself to the linky thingy so I can see what you've done
d) be sure if you upload to SCS, that you use the keyword FSF20...that way I can find you!!

For this week's card, I decided to use an old Fred Bear!! He was actually one of the first Fred Bear images we released, and is still one of my favorites!! My sketch is also this week's Wednesday Stamp Club. I stamped my Fred on an X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored it with my Copics. I then layered him with Red hot and Black Licorice. My DP is from Echo Park.
I used MFT ribbon, and Michael's brads.

For the inside, I did more of the same!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Don't forget to add yourself to my linky thingy.

Monochromatic Mojo

Hey everyone!! We are having some CRAZY weather here in Southern Illinois, how about you? Last night there were some TERRIBLE storms that came through, and they did a TON of damage to my little town. It will be weeks before clean-up is done, but luckily, no one was reported to be injured or killed from the storms. We got lucky!!
Tonight's card is for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch and the There She Goes challenge from their blog. Here are the details, just incase you want to play along!!

This week’s challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the Week, Karen. She wants us to create a monochromatic card. In order to do that you would choose one or more shades of one color along with ONE neutral color to use in your creation. We can’t wait to see what you come up
with!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that utilizes monochromatic coloring, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Apr. 25th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG103 so we can check out your beautiful work!

For my card, I used the MME Stella and Rose Hattie collection. I used the MFT Simply Scallop Die-namics, and an SU punch for my tag. My ribbon came from SU, and my brads are from Michaels. My image, from the new My Little Friend stamp set, was stamped on an X=Press It Blending card, and then colored with my Copics. I used Not Quite navy and Night of Navy.
Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!
  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety after purchase.
  • $10.95 for the 3 x 4" set.

For my card, I started by stamping my image on an X-Press it Blending card, and then I colored it with my Copics. I then layered her with Red Hot and Black Licorice. My ribbon and twine are both from MFT, and my brads are from American Crafts.

For the inside, I used another sentiment, and more of the same supplies from the front of the card. I wanted to use the REST of what was left after cutting out the Doily, so I used it as a layer.....cool, huh?!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Easter Gift

Hi everyone! It's time for another Crazy 4 Challenges, challenge!! Silke Kittmann our hostess this month has another fun challenge for us all.

Being the third Saturday of the month, this week's challenge is a sponsored challenge. This month our sponsor is Krisi's Kreations. Krisi's store sells templates which are available in a number of different formats, including PSD, TIFF, PNG, PDF & SVG.

With Easter just around the corner Silke has challenged us to create an Easter Gift .... make a basket, a box or whatever you wish.

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C83. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

For my project tonight, I used a previously sent to me die cut(from one of my favorite people, Jody Morrow). I think she sent me them in an attempt to make me an alter-er...but I am just NOT that girl. I DID, however, enjoy making this, but it was super simple. I stamped my Pure Innocence- One Sweet Chick on an X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored it with my Copics...well, the parts I didn't paper piece using some new My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Hazel paper pad. I used some MFT ribbon, and some Blossom Twine. My brads are from Michael's.
Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! Be sure to blurf around and check out the other crazies!!

April Creative Challenge-For the Kids...

This month's Creative Challenge, over at My Favorite Things, is all about the kids!! Our challenge was to make a gift item for a kid.....and I was scared. As you all know, I really dislike doing anything that isn't a card....I don't know why, but I just can't help the way I feel. In spite of my feelings, I decided to decorate a tin to give to my bosses granddaughter for when she is in the car.

I started with the plain tin you see here. We had them as a promotional item at the store, and my boss decided she didn't want them junking up the counter any more. She was GOING to throw them all away, but I rescued them from the trash.

I used some K&Co. paper, which I traced the shape of the tin on twice. I cut it out with scissors, and then used red line tape to attache it. To cover the edges, I used some SU Brocade Blue ribbon. My image is the new Pure Innocence- You Color My World. I layered it with Brocade Blue, Jelly Bean Green, and Orange Fizz. My sentiment was done the same way. I used some Basic Grey buttons, and Peapod Twine, purchased through MFT.

For the inside, I covered the inside panels with more DP. I then stamped several different PI images on some GP white cardstock, and placed them inside...along with some crayons. Now, maybe she won't drive my boss nuts in the car, lol!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to head to Kim's blog to see a list of all the other designers participating today. Have a great day!
