My Favorite Sketch

Hey everyone!! It is Thursday, so it is time for another My Favorite Things sketch challenge. For this week's challenge, I used the super cute new Trick or Treat set that was released last night.

I stamped my main image from the new Trick or Treat set on an MFT Perfect Panel and then paper pieced the floor, drew in the faux panelling, and colored the rest with Copics. My DP is from an old SU Halloween Pack, and I paired it with Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black. All my ribbons are from SU, and my brads were purchased at Hobby Lobby. I used a white gel pen to do the faux stitching around the border. MY sentiment was punched out using the modern label punch from SU.

Prettie GLITTERY Wednesday

Well, today is Prettie Wednesday and we have a SUPAH sparkly challenge this week!! This week's challenge was given out by Jackie R, and she challenged us to make it shine, sparkly and glitter! Well, I don't know if you have noticed, but my blog isn't very sparkly...in fact, I hardly if ever use glitter. So basically, this was challenging to say the least. It doesn't help that as I was finishing my card I spilt my glitter all over my table and will now be covered in glitter for weeks to come! Oh well, right? Such is the life of a late night stamper, lol!!

Any who, my card was made using the SUPER cute new Stamp of the Month, Make a Wish Sophia from Paper Pretties. She was colored with Copics, and then I added glitter to her hat, waist, and shoes. The ribbon is from SU, and my glitter dots were bought from Gina K. The DP is part of the DCWV Glitter Stack. I paired it with Lavender Lace and Barely Banana card stock.

Welcome to the Hop!!

Hello, and welcome to this months My Favorite Things Release Blog Hop!! Today's hop started with Kim, so be sure to head to her blog to get started!! If you are back, you should have come from Jody's!!

For my first card, I used the new Grow Love set. I am LOVING these super cute new trees!! This one is one of my FAVES! The leaves, swing, and trunk come as separate stamps so you are free to use them whatever way you choose. I stamped all mine with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored it all in with my Copics. My grass was also drawn in with my Copics. My DP is from the Good Morning Sunshine pack from SU. All the accessories except for the spiral clip, came from SU as well. I did a bit of piercing, and it was done!

For my next project, I used the new Trick or Treat set. I used the Round Top Box template from the SCS website, which I printed out onto Pumpkin Pie card stock. I then cut it out, and stamped the pumpkins from the set all over it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then stamped one of the pumpkins on a Perfect Panel. The pumpkin was then colored with my Copics. I cut it, and it' s layers out with my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. The sentiment was stamped and then cut out with my Ribbon Slide dies. All the ribbons are from SU, and the spiral clips are from Joanne's. This is also my project featured in this month's How'd They Do That Tips and Tricks, so be sure to check that out!!

To My Favorite Bookworm...

Hey everyone!! I am back with another new release TEASER for this Wednesdays(August 5th) My Favorite Things release!! This new set by my FAVE artist, Stephanie Fizer is called I Love Books and it is TOO CUTE!!

For my image, I stamped him on an MFT panel and colored him in with my Copics. The book was paper pieced with some Delicate Dots DSP. I used Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and So Saffron CS. My ribbons are from SU. The sketch on my card is LAST week's sketch from my girl Mercy's blog. I finally got to play along!!

Sorry for the short post but I will be back later tonight with the MFT Blog Hop starting at 10EST!! I can't wait to see what my fellow DT members have come up with for this hop...I for one am LOVING these new sets!!

Hey everyone, Happy Sunday! I am here with my card for this week's Featured Stamper, Teresa Kline(va.sunshine). She is a SWEETHEART and COMPLETELY talented!! Congrats girl, you totally deserve this!

For my card today, I chose this card of hers. I changed the image, colors, embellishments, and added a sentiment panel. I also added layers, but I kept the base as one layer...even though it was REALLY hard for me!! My main image is from the soon to be released set, Grow Love, from My Favorite Things. It will be released at 10PM EST on August 5th!! For my image, I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black on and MFT Perfect Panel. I then paper pieced the top of the tree with some Nouveau Chic DSP from SU. I stole the idea for the grass from my fellow DT member, Jody. I LOVED what she did with hers, so I had to try it out! The CS colors are Sage Shadow and Apricot Appeal. The base is Gina K. White 120lb. I colored the trunk with my Copic markers. All the ribbons are from SU, spiral clips is from Joanne's, and the dew drops are from Robin's Nest.

Tonight's The Night!!

I have had the song from the new Target commercials, Tonight's The Night, STUCK in my head for days...grrrr. I hate it when that happens, and more than that, I hate to be the only one it is happening too, so here's hoping it gets stuck in your head too...LOL!! Totally kidding, I REALLY hope it doesn't, for your sake!! Anywho, tonight IS FINALLY the night where we will be releasing the new Paper Pretties stamps!! YAYY!! The party starts at 8pmEST in the Paper Pretties forum, so be there or be square!!

Today, I am SO EXCITED to show you the next Stamp of the Month, Make A Wish! Isn't she a PEACH!! I just love her cute ruffly dress and her little foot popped up!! Of course, I can't remember the last time I DIDN'T like a Sophia...cause it hasn't happened!! She is my FAV little girl!! For my card today, I decided to use Jen's Sketch For You To Try. My circle got a little big, but it is still the sketch, lol! My image was colored with Copics, and the circles cut with Nestabilities and my Cuttlebug. All my embellishments and punches are from SU, except the spiral clip from Joanne's. My CS colors are Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, and Chocolate Chip. I used Sweet Always DSP from SU as well.

August One Click Collection Challenge

Hello everyone, hope your weekend is off to a good start!! My pal Susan and I are this month's One Click Collection Challenge hostesses over in the My Favorite Things member forum on SCS. This month's challenge is to use Gingham...so be sure to check out this post to enter and win the entire new release!! For my card I used the super cute Feelin' Fruity set that was just released mid month from MFT. The pears were colored with Copics after being stamped on and MFT Perfect Panel. Except for the spiral clip, all my embellishments are from MFT. The ribbon is part of the Plaid Ribbon Nest, and the button is from the Spring Button Collection. My DP is from the Spring Paper Pack.

Aloha is Back!!

Hey everyone!! I am back with another Prettie Peek!! Well, you can't really call it a peek since we previewed her before, but good news, Aloha Sophia will finally be released to the public on Saturday. Here are all the details!!

I started my card with Cindy's Dare To Get Dirty sketch in mind,(you must be a fan club member to view this link, so get signed up if you haven't already!!), and this week's Prettie Challenge. I added the details at the bottom!! I stamped the pool and duck floaty on Gina K. White, and colored them in with my Copics. I then cut them both out. I decided to add the pool, and lean the floaty up against it...cute huh! After coloring them, and adding them to my main circle panel(Gina K. White, Cameo Coral, Summer Sun, and Tempting Turquoise), I did some piercing and then covered them both in Crystal Effects to make them shiny. I used SU punches for my sentiment panel. The DP is from the Pink Flamingo pack from SU. My Ribbon is also SU, brads are from Hobby Lobby, and the clip is from Joanne's.

My Favorite Sketch

I know it's no secret, but I LOVE sketch challenges!! I know, you are surprised...lol!! Anywho, this is the card I made for this week's My Favorite Things sketch challenge. This week's challenge was provided by Frances, doesn't she just rock??!! This is also another sample that I made for my Smooch Tutorial..if you are interested or curious about these paints, check it out!! I started by stamping my monster, from the Stephanie Fizer Hooga Booga set, on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored her body with my Copics. Her arms and legs were colored with Taffy Smooch Ink. Here face was stamped separately, colored with Copics, then added to the main image. I added some Siren Smooch Paint for her checks. I did a little piercing, and then layered it with Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, and Rose Red. The DP is from the retired SU Cutie Pie pack. I used my Eyelet Border Punch from Su for the edge. The brads are all from Su, the spiral clip is from Joanne's, and my ribbon is from SU and the MFT Spring Ribbon Nest. To decorate the plain pink twill ribbon, I added some hearts using my Smooch paints. For more details on how I did that, check out my tutorial. My sentiment was created using all SU punches. I ran the white panel in the background through the Cuttlebug with my Swiss Dots Folder.
