KKS149 Happy Halloween

This week's Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge is being hostessed by Cheryl!! She has challenged us to use skulls on our projects...perfect season for this, right?!

Before we get to that, we are celebrating a LOT over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog and Facebook page!! Games, challenges, and all to celebrate World Card Making Day AND Kraftin' Kimmies anniversary. On top of all the fun, we are having a sale, too!! Be sure to check out the blog, website, and become a fan of ours on Facebook to see all the fun and games!!

For my card for this week's skull shallenge, I used Hattie. She is one of my favorite Halloween images, and I loved getting to color her up!! She was layered with Sour Apple, Grape Jelly, Black Licorice, and Sweet Tooth(all MFT). I used some Echo Park Happy Halloween paper, which is one of the ONLY Halloween paper pads I own...I have a major paper addiction(think 150 6x6 pads, minimum), and out of ALL of those, only two are Halloween. It actually makes me sad because I was really trying to go through my entire paper collection and use EVERY pad once before reusing any, but my lack of Halloween paper really threw that off, lol! Anywho, I used Grape Jelly grosgrain, and some Honeydew twine on a spiral clip, and to tie my bow. My other embellishment was some brads from Michael's. To finish, I added my sentiment using one of the Halloween Trinkets.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!! Happy World Card Making Day AGAIN!!

Happy Haunting!!

Hey Everyone!! All of us here at My Favorite Things wish you a Happy World Card Making Day! Maybe your personal style includes coloring with markers, or possibly you enjoy some fresh and clean stamping. Maybe you simply like creating custom elements with our Die-namics dies. Whatever it is that you like to do, we only hope that you get a chance to create something special today!
Don’t forget that we also offer an assortment of coordinating Replenishments including cardstock, felt, buttons and ribbon.
Sketches are always a great starting point for a little cardmaking, and we have 92 weeks of sketches available as part of our ongoing Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. The first year of sketches is available here MFTsketches1-52 and year two (to date) is here MFT Sketches 53-92.

For my card tonight, I used the Who's That Girl Trick or Treat set. I stamped my image on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored it with my Copics. My cardstock colors are Sour Apple, Grape Jelly, and Black Licorice. I paired it with the Echo Park Happy Halloween paper pad, and my embellishments are Michael's brads, MFT Black Licorice ribbon, and I used several Die-namics to create my background. For the circle, I used the Circle Stax Die-namics and the Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics. I also used the Fishtail Flag Stax Die-namics. The Photo Corner Die-namics was also used, along with the Sentiment Strips Die-namics for my sentiment.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

I Spy A Free For All

This week's challenge for the I Spy Sketches blog is to revisit any old sketch you chose!! I actually missed last week's sketch, so I decided to go ahead and play along!!! It was inspired by  Audrie Magno-Gordon (girlgeek101 @ SCS) and our sketch is  based on this card.

For my card, I paired the Pumpkins on a Vine set from There She Goes with the MME Gnome Sweet Gnome paper pad. My cardstock colors are Jellybean Green, Sweet Tooth, and Hot Fudge from MFT, and Cranberry Crisp from SU. I cut my image out with my Circle Stax Die-namics, and layered it with the Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics. Happy Birthday, Birthday Girl!

I recently went on a crafty weekend with my friends Jessica and Pam, and had the most AMAZING time, as always!! While I was there, I decided that I would do a little stamping for fun, and use some older sets in the process! I used Apple For You from the Pure Innocence line the other day, and then decided to use My Balloon for tonight!! It's no secret that the Pure Innocence line is my favorite from MFT, right?!! LOL!

Isn't she CUTE?? I used the MME A Mother's Love pad which has some of the PRETTIEST colors in it! I used Tangy Orange, Blue Raspberry, Jellybean Green, Sweet Tooth, and X-Press It blending card for my image. I paper pieced the balloon, and the skirt of her dress, and then colored the rest with Copics. I used buttons from MFT in Jellybean Green, Tangy Orange, and Blue Raspberry, and tied the buttons with Hemp Cord. My ribbon is Blu Raspberry, and I used the Lead The Way Die-namics for my arrows. For the sentiment, I used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics. My only other embellishments were brads from Michael's.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.

MFTWSC92-Spooky!

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! That means it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things! It's MY favorite sketch challenge!

For my card today, I used the new Spiderweb set, and matching Spiderweb Die-namics. I cut my web and spider out of Black Licorice cardstock. My spider was popped up on a panel cut out of Sweet Tooth cardstock with my Circle Stax Die-namics, and then layered with a doily cut out if the Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics and Orange Fizz cardstock. My paper is from the Echo Park Happy Halloween, and I paired it with Sour Apple, Orange Fizz, Black Licorice cardstock. I used Charcoal Twine to make it look like the spider is hanging down, and to decorate my Black Licorice, Orange Fizz, and Sour Apple buttons. My only other embellishments are Michael's brads, and White Net Ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

For my card, I used the Holiday Lulu set. She was stamped on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored with my Copics. I used some Echo Park Holly Jolly paper, which I paired with Gumdrop Green, Red Hot, and Hot Fudge cardstock. My ribbon is Walnut Vintage Seam Binding from the Ribbon Carousel, and I used Michael's brads. Isn't Lulu a CUTIE!!

TSG175- Autumn

This week's challenge over at There She Goes is being hosted by my favorite donkey, Kim O'Connell. She has challenged us to make a card using NO patterned paper. It makes me sad to NOT use patterned paper, and I had already made two cards with that theme this month, so I went rogue and made a CAS card. Yeah, on purpose. LOL

For my card, I used a Sweet Tooth base, and then added scallops to the base of the front using Bravo Burgundy, Orange Fizz, Jellybean Green, and Hot Fudge. I stamped my sentiment from the Autumn with Memento Rich Cocoa, and then used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Red Riding Hood ink to stamp my leaves. To embellish, I used Brown and Natural Hemp Cord, and Michael's brads.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to head on over to the There She Goes blog for more details on the challenge, and to see which ones of my teammates are playing along!!

Surprise!!

This month's Guest Designer contest for My Favorite Things is still underway, and I am in LOVE with this month's sketch, so I had to play with it!!

She was then cut out, and placed on my Simple Stories Happy Day, and Hot Fudge layer that were cut out with the Rounded Banner Stax Die-namics. I used the Oval Chain Border Die-namics on my base, along with more of the paper. My other cardstock colors are Cranberry Crisp from SU(really OLD SU), and Jellybean Green. To finish, I used three buttons: Wild Cherry, Orange Fizz, and Hot Fudge, with some Hemp Cord, Michael's brads, Hot Fudge Grosgrain, and a spiral clip. The sentiment panel was created using the Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.
