à la modes- Wishing You Luck

Yep girls, it is TIME!! It is time for this month's mid-month release teasers from My Favorite Things!!! This month we have another two additions to the WILDLY FABULOUS and IMMENSELY POPULAR, a la modes line!! Designed by Amanda Baird(did you know she is Carole's niece), these super sassy, AWESOMELY drawn chicks are to DIE for!! Not familiar with this AWESOME line of stamps from My Favorite Things? Well, here is all the need to know info...and believe me, you NEED to know!!
  • à la modes will be available only in rubber
  • Each set is produced in the USA using the highest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.
  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!
  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety after purchase.
  • $10.95 for the 3 x 4" set.

For my card today, I started with the super cute chick from this new set, Wishing You Luck. I colored her with Copics, and then layered her with Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, and Kiwi Kiss. My DP is from the SU Muirfield pack, and my ribbons are from SU, as well. I used an SU punch for my sentiment, and two SU buttons. My DP layer on my layered buttons is actually the Button Trio Die-namics largest button. My brads are from MFT, except the largest one, which is from Michael's. I followed this past week's Mojo Monday sketch, as well.

For the inside, I used the Layered Label Die-namics, pictured above. I love that it all fits together so nicely!! The sentiment is another one from this super cute set!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a full list of designers participating in today's peeks!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Hearts

Hey everyone, and happy Saturday!! Since it is Saturday, it is time for another Crazy 4 Challenges challenge...which I am running VERY late on!! After work yesterday, I layed down to take a nap. I didn't feel like getting up when I woke up the first time, so I layed there...next thing I know, it's Saturday....14 hours in bed. WOW.

Angela Wood has given us all another fun challenge this week. HEARTS! Now with Valentine's Day on two days away this is a perfect opportunity to get those last minute Valentine cards made. Of course hearts aren't just for Valentines, so you don't have to restrict yourself to those. All you need to do is use hearts somewhere on your creations.

If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C74. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

For my card today, I used the Buckets of Love set from There She Goes, I just love it! I paired it with some paper that I completely forgot I had, and I honestly have no idea how long I've had it...but it is Cosmo Cricket Chemistry. The colors are so bold and pretty! I paired it with Summer Sunrise from PTI, and Ruby Red and Cameo Coral from SU. My ribbon is from MFT(white), and PTI(yellow). I used Michael's brads, and a spiral clip from Creative Express.
Well, that is it for me for now...thanks for stopping by and I am SO SORRY I was late!! Be sure to check out the other Crazies to see what they have for you!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 10

Hey everyone, and welcome to this week's Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge! I am starting to REALLY look forward to this challenge every week...I'm having so fun rediscovering forgotten stamps!!
If you aren't familiar with the Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge, it's a challenge I pose to myself, and all my friends and readers to make a card or project using a stamp that hasn't been used or has been owned and NOT used for at least six months. You don't have to post ON Friday to play along, so don't worry about that, just have fun, and be sure to leave a link so I can jump around and see what you have been up to!! Don't forget to use the keyword FSF10 when uploading to your online gallery!!

For my card tonight, I broke out one of my most FAVORITE stamps EVER....isn't she PRECIOUS!! The set is called Precious Moments, and is illustrated by Sarah Kay. She is SO FUN to color. I layered her with Baja Breeze after coloring her. My patchwork was made using Cosmo Cricket Togetherness PP. My other card stock colors are Berry Sorbet and Summer Sunrise(both PTI). My sentiment is from the There She Goes set, By The Sea. I added it to my spiral clip, which has some MFT ribbon on it.
Well, that is it for me for now. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you decide to play along!!

Fairy Good Day

Today is my boss's birthday at my real job, so I wanted to make her a special birthday card. She loves fairies, pink, purple, and all things girlie, so I think this will work!!

My image, the new Pure Innocence Believe In Magic set, was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored with my Copics. She was then layered with Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry. I used some yummy MFT ribbon from the white collection, and also some ribbon from SU. The DP is from the Razzleberry Lemonade pack. My brads are all from Michael's.

To border the DP, I used the Little Open Scalloped Strip Die-namic. Got to be my FAVORITE of all the dies....until I get a new favorite.

For the inside, I used more of the same, and even stamped my girl again on the bottom. I hope she likes it!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Wednesday Stamp Club- Week 6!!

It is time for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things, and as I am sure most of you know by now, we have gone to an ALL sketch format!! I LOVE it!! Unfortunately, my heart just isn't in stamping right now. I won't go into the details, but I made this card for an extremely special person. One of our favorite things to do was to go outside on clear nights and look at the stars. When I look at the stars, from now on, I will always think of him.

Since this card is for him, I had to go masculine...which I hate to do. I used Basic Grey, and Brocade Blue from Stamping Up, and matching DP. My ribbon is from SU as well, and my brads are from Michael's. I used the Polka Dot Greetings Die-namic, and a sentiment from the Great Outdoors set for my main panel.

On the inside, I used a sentiment from the More Essential Sentiments set. As much as I wish things were different, I do wish him all the happiness in the world.

Sorry for the sappy post, just having a bad night....this too shall pass, right?
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day. For a list of all the designer's participating in today's challenge, check out Kim's blog. You can get all the details for the challenge there, or in the MFT Member forum on SCS.

February Creative Challenge: Go DIGI!!!

It is time for another Creative Challenge for My Favorite Things, and this month, the challenge is to Get Digital! This includes our amazing templates, the calendar files, digi papers, or digital stamps…the skies the limit!! I don't have a fancy die cutting machine, and I don't really alter stuff anyway, so the thing that made the MOST sense to me was to use the digi papers!! What I LOVE about Digi papers is the fact that they never. run. out. ever. Have you ever fallen in LOVE with a paper in a paper pack, and run out of it. You still have plenty of the other sheets left, but you MISS the one you used up...with digi papers you TOTALLY eliminate that problem. After purchasing the papers, and then downloading them, they are yours forever!! LOVE THAT!!

For my card...I went in a TOTALLY different direction than I usually do. I LOVED all the cards made by my fellow DT members during this last release, so I was DYING to use the new Fly a Kite Die-namic. I printed out four different patterns from the Stephanie Fizer Spring Paper Collection, and then used them to for my kite. I used some embroidery thread for my kite tail, and added some brads to my bows....gotta have my brads. My grass was made using the Fresh Cut Grass Die-namic, and my clouds were cut out using the new Flat Bottom Cloud Die-namic. My sentiment is from the new Great Outdoors set. LOVE IT!! I made a little bit of an ooopsie, so I added some Pink Plaid ribbon from MFT to cover it up...clever, right? My card stock colors are Banana Split, Sour Apple and Cotton Candy.

For the inside, I used some extra pieces from my kites, and a saying from the Clearly Sentimental About Emerson set. It is my FAVORITE saying out of all the sets. So inspiring. My sentiment was cut out using the Polka Dot Greetings Frame Die-namic.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a full list of designers playing along today!!

For my card, I used the super cute Happy Mail set! I stamped it on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored parts of her with my Copics. I paper pieced her letter, dress, and pocket with my 3 different DP's. I paired it with Berry Sorbet(PTI) and Baja Breeze(SU) card stock. My DP is all part of the Cosmo Cricket Togetherness pack. I used one PTI button, and one from SU. My sparkly element is my glitter dots in the corners. I went against the recipe a tad, and used some PTI and SU ribbon.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!

A Sassy SFYTT

I was blurfing around today, and I happened upon the new sketch for February on Jen's Blog, I {heart} 2 Stamp!! To my surprise, I saw that I WON the drawing for January, so YAAAAY me!! While there, I read about this month's sponsor, Anita Be Stampin. I had never heard of this company, so I decided to go check it out....OMG!! I am in LOVE with their stamps, and I normally LOATHE digi images, I saw this SASSY and AWESOME chick, Busty Betsy, and I had to have her....bonus that it was for charity, no??!!

I had at first colored her ribbon pink, but it just didn't fit the MOOD of this card..LOL!! I did look up the meaning of the Black Ribbon....and got many different options: mourning, gang prevention, melanoma, POW/MIA...even Amish Support. She was colored with Copics, then cut out. I layered her on top of Black Licorice, Red Hot, and Gina K. White. My DP is from the SU Rockabilly pack, my ribbons are from MFT, and my brads are from Michael's. While searching for a sentiment, I came across this one in a the Twisted Threesome set from My Favorite Things. I started to laugh immediately, so I KNEW it was a perfect fit. I don't really NEED a sugar Daddy, but she sure looks like she does!! LOL!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

I stamped my image on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored it with my Copics. I then layered it with Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, and Hot Fudge. My DP is from the Basic Grey Bittersweet pack. The ribbons I used are from SU, and my brads are from Michael's. SU punches were used to make my sentiment panel.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Be sure to check out the other crazies to see what they have been up to.

Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 9

Hey everyone, and welcome to this week's Forgotten Stamp Friday post!! I have so many forgotten stamps, even picking one a week is overwhelming, LOL!!

I needed a little pick me up, so I decided to do something bright, cheerful, and inspirational. I started with the There She Goes set, Spread Your Wings. I stamped my butterfly on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored it with my Copics. My card stock is Bermuda Bay(SU), Pink Pirouette(SU), and Orange Fizz. My DP is from the Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday pack. I used my MFT Butterflies Die-namic to cut out my butterflies, and then after the were cut, I used my Swiss Dots embossing folder to give them some texture. SU Pink Organdy ribbon(OLD STUFF, LOL) was used on this card, along with some brads from Michael's. My sketch is this week's Mojo Monday sketch.
Well, that is it for me for now. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you decide to play along!!
