For my card, I used a past Sketch For You To Try for my layout. My main image is from the new Penguin Pals set from There She Goes. I masked the candy cane into his hand, and then colored the whole image with my Copics. Wild Wasabi, and Red Hot are the colors of card stock I have used, and my buttons are from Wal-mart. I used MFT ribbon, and Creative Express spiral clips, as well.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! For more inspiration, be sure to check out the There She Goes blog to see what the other girls have come up with!

Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 2

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog!! You KNOW I love it when you visit, right?? Last week, as some of you might have seen, I started a little "personal" challenge called- Forgotten Stamp Friday!! Basically, I am challenging myself, and YOU, to use some of those poor, dusty, neglected, forgotten stamps from your collection!! I have created my own "keyword", this week's is FSF02. Last week, I had TWO people play along!! I was so EXCITED!! Thanks Dawn and Becca!! The only rule is to use a stamp set that hasn't been used in at least 6 months.

So, for today's card, I used my, The Magic of Christmas, set from Gina K. Designs. I stamped my GORGEOUS image on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored it in with my Copics. I then layered it with Baja Breeze, Wild Cherry and Hot Fudge card stock. My DP is from an old SU Christmas Pack(Alpine....I dunno). My sketch was the Mojo Monday sketch from a couple weeks ago. The ribbon I used is from MFT, and the brads are from Michael's.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!! If you decide to play along...and I HOPE you do, either leave me a comment here, or be sure to add the above mentioned keyword so I can find your card in the SCS gallery easily!!

Wednesday Stamp Club-Pure Innocence Christmas

It is time for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club challenge(well, it was...I'm a wee bit late), and we hope that you’ll be able to find some time to play along with us this week. Our theme this week is a Pure Innocence Christmas…. and if you’d like to play along – we’d love to have you create a last minute Christmas card using PI stamps. This week’s Splitcoast Stampers Keyword will be MFTWSC12152010

For my card, I used the Pure Innocence-Don't Open Until(first time using THIS stamp...gosh, I suck), along with sentiments from the Sending a Little Christmas set. My image was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then layered with Red Hot, Regal Rose, and Wild Wasabi. It was colored with Copics....and that's where the problem's started. My green marker got a spot on my clouds, so I had to cut out the image...because it was already colored, and then layer it onto another stamped image. I used SU Dazzling Diamond glitter and a glue pen for my snow. My sentiment was made using the SU Label punch, then free hand cutting out the next layer. I used buttons from Wal-mart, and ribbon from MFT.

My scallops, both inside and out, were made using the Little Open Scallop Strip. I followed Mercy's sketch from this week.

My DP is part of the DCWV Glitter Christmas collection from a few years ago. I still love it!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out the MFT member forum for more details on our challenges!! Also, if you are a fan of My Favorite Things on Facebook, you may have already heard how you can win the ENTIRE January release...if not, check out this post from Kim!! Thanks for stopping by!!

If you haven't run off to shop, wanna see what I made...please? ;)

For my card, I started by coloring my image with my Copics, and then layering it with Regal Rose, Crushed Curry and Berrylicious(MFT). I then used my Bracket Edge Dienamic to cut out my Urban Prairie paper from Basic Grey. I added some ribbon from SU and Michael's, and of COURSE, I had to add some brads and a spiral clip!!

For the inside, I cut out the mat from the set, after coloring it, and added it to the bottom. I used the new Layered Label Die-namics...our special bonus with this month's package!! It will be officially released the first Wednesday of January, but if you are lucky enough to get the VIP package, you will be one of the first one's to have it!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to head on over to JOANNE'S BLOG...she is the next stop on the hop, and I am SURE she is gonna show you something AWESOME!!

For my card today, I broke out another old Basic Grey paper pad, Bittersweet. I paired it with Hot Fudge, Rose Red, and Pretty in Pink cardstock. My white is from Gina K., and my image was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel then colored with Copics. Her dress was paper pieced. My ribbons on the spiral clip are from SU, and my white is from Michael's. I followed this past week's Sweet Sunday sketch, except I flipped it!

For the inside, I used the Hearts a Plenty Die-namics to make my layered hearts. I also used more of the Bittersweet paper, and one of the sentiments from this FABU set!!

This month we have another two additions to the WILDLY FABULOUS and IMMENSELY POPULAR, a la modes line!! Designed by Amanda Baird(did you know she is Carole's niece), these super sassy, AWESOMELY drawn chicks are to DIE for!! Not familiar with this AWESOME line of stamps from My Favorite Things? Well, here is all the need to know info...and believe me, you NEED to know!!

Yep, you heard me...they are the ONLY rubbah stamps offered by MFT, and they are AWESOME!! For my card tonight, I stamped my chick on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored her with my Copics. She was then layered with Jelly Bean Green, Pretty in Pink, and some of the solid(yet scratchy) paper from the Basic Grey Sugared pack. My ribbons are from SU(the pink taffeta) and MFT. My brads are from Michael's. I added some Crystal Effects to the glass to make it shiny, but I am LOVING that I figured out a color combo to make it LOOK like she is drinking some champagne.....

which makes the inside sentiment make SO MUCH more sense!! Big girl bubbles...I LOVE it!! Also, on the inside, as well as the outside, I used the Decorative Doily Die from our AMAZING Die-namics line for my pretty DP panels. My sentiment was cut out using the Framed Greetings Die-namic.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have an AMAZING day...it's a snow day around here, bleeeech!! Be sure to hop on over to KIM'S BLOG to see a list of other designers who have peeks for you today!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday

Happy Friday fellow bloggers!! Today, I am going to TRY to start something new, and I hope that you decide to play along with me!! I am constantly confessing to having SEVERAL stamps that are unused, or that haven't been used in FOREVER...it truly is a problem for me! I have so much new coming in, that I forget about all the older stuff that I still love!! So, today is my first ever, Forgotten Stamp Friday!! There aren't any prizes...just the satisfaction of using some of those stamps you have forgotten about!! The only rule is to use a stamp that hasn't seen ink for at least 6 months!! I am going to attach the keyword- FSF01 to my creation in the SCS gallery(place under keywords). I would LOVE to see if you play along, so if you chose to, either leave me a link in my comments, or be sure to use the keyword so I can see what you got!!!! Fun, right!!

For my first ever FSF project, I used the Snow Wonderful set from Verve Stamps. I LOVE these little snowmen, and it was the first set that I thought of when I thought of this "challenge". My card was paired with Black Licorice and Red Hot card stock, and Paper Studio DP. I used the Open Scalloped Die-namics for my border, some Michael's ribbons and brads, and did a ton of piercing. My sketch is Mercy's from this past Tuesday!

Well, that is it for me for now!! I hope someone decides to play along with me!! Have a great day!!

Winter Wonderland.....

Hey everyone!! Today is Wednesday, so it is time for another My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club challenge!! This week's challenge it to make a "winter wonderland" card. Fun, huh?! Before I get to my card, here are some need to know details!!

My Favorite Things: Christmas Comes Early Promotion

MFT loves to spoil our customers and this week is no exception. Christmas has come early for YOU. From December 7 though December 9, our MFT Santa will be slipping a little something extra into your “stocking”. With each order of $25 or more (not including tax or shipping) placed during the promotion period, you will receive a FREE surprise gift with your order. We have a ton of gifts under the tree, and we’ll pick one out just for you. It could be a stamp set, ribbon, or other crafty product. It’ll be a surprise, so please don’t send Santa a list. *wink*

For my card...I have a little secret to tell you....I've never used this stamp. SHHHHH!!! Don't tell anyone!! I stamped my image, from the Pure Innocence set Sending You a Little Christmas, on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored it with my Copics. I then layered it with Bashful Blue and Sahara Sand card stock from SU. My DP is from Heidi Grace and is kinda WAY old, but so yummy!! So much texture on this one, it is hard not to love it!! I created a little sentiment flag(gotta get a die for that), and added some MFT ribbon and snowflakes cut out using my Snowflake Trio Die-namic.

The acetate snowflake is from Heidi Swapp, and my brads are from Michael's. My Sahara Sand panel was also run through my Cuttlebug with the Snowflakes embossing folder....more texture, that's always a good thing!!

For the inside, I used more of the same stuff, and another sentiment from this set. Fun, right?
My sketch came from Karen Giron's blog. If you would like to play along, be sure to upload your card to the gallery at Splitcoast Stampers using the SCS Keyword MFTWSC12082010. It is VERY important that you do this if you wish to be eligible for this week's prize!!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Be sure to head on over to Kim's blog to see who else is participating today!!

TSG84 Happy Holidays

Happy Monday bloggers, stampers, friends, family, and anyone else who happens upon my blog!! It is time for another There She Goes challenge!! I missed the last two, so it was time to JUMP back in!! This week's challenge is brought to us by Jodi, one of my favorite people on this earth, and it's all about the bling! Rhinestones, glitter, shimmer...anything goes, as long as your creation has plenty of bling! After seeing her challenge, I questioned her love for me for a moment...then came to my senses....bling? Really? uuuugh. So, I cheated...well, not really. It is blingy, just not VERY blingy....
Here are the details on the challenge, we would LOVE for you to play along!!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that has bling and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Dec. 13). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG84 so we can check out your beautiful work!

For my card, I used the new Just For You set......it is SO fun!! When I first saw it, I liked it, but I wasn't sure what I would do with it...now, I KNOW!! My "label" was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa on an MFT Perfect panel, and some old SU Christmas DP, Alpine something or another...I think. I then colored the red border with Copics, and paper pieced the rest. The sentiment and gingerbread man were both stamped on a separate piece of paper, and then cut out and popped up. My BLING are my glitter dots in the corner. Hey...they sparkly in real life!! All my ribbon is VERY old SU, and my spiral clips are from Creative Expressions. My sketch is Mercy's from this past week!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Check out the TSG blog to see a list of the other designers playing along so far today!! Have a good one!!
