Crazy 4 Challenges- Silke's Color Challenge

So, before I start my post, I just want to say a big 'ol OOPSIE!! I totally forgot that Verve was our sponsor when I made my card, and I was so wrapped up in making my teaser's for this month's My Favorite Things release, that I dropped the ball!! I promise to make up for it for the rest of the month, honest!!

Anywho, today is Saturday(if you are all EST and stuff), so it is time for another Crazy 4 Challenges challenge!! This month, Silke is our hostess with the mostest, and she has one of the most challenging color challenges I have ever participated in.....Saffron, Kraft, Black, Wasabi, and Pumpkin Pie. I had to sub Fossil for my Kraft, and Orange Fizz for my Pumpkin, but it works!! Today is also day one of this month's My Favorite Things teasers!! Wahoo!! Kim will have a full list of DT members who are peeking on her blog at 11am EST, so be sure to head over there so you don't miss out!! Today, we are showing you the new Polka Dot Greetings and Frame Die-namics, along with Clearly Sentimental About Books. I was still in Halloween mode, so I took the Polka Dot Greetings set, this enormous color challenge, and an old MFT set, and made it work Tim Gunn style!!

Also, there is a prize hidden on one of the designer's blog posts. As you make your way through the Teaser Time posts, simply leave a comment on each blog, for your chance to win one of the Brand Spankin' New stamp sets being released on October 6th. A winner will be chosen from the comments on the pre-selected blog before tomorrow's teaser list goes live, and will be posted on Kim's blog HERE. Be sure to check tomorrow to see if YOU are the winner. You can play along each day for your chance to win. We will be giving away TEN new stamp sets this week! As always, you can find the master list of participating designers HERE on Kim's blog.

For my card, as I said above, I used the new Polka Dot Greetings set. I used the matching Polka Dot Greetings Frame Die-namic,and cut out my sentiment and frame with that. It was stamped on Fossil with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored the Polka Dot Frame in with my Copics...even the black...crazy, right? This is the ONLY place I used saffron, so be sure to look closely, LOL!! I paired it with an old Who's That Girl set, Trick or Treat. I stamped my pumpkin on an MFT panel, then colored it and cut it out. My ribbon is from Michael's. and my DP is from the Echo Park Happy Halloween pack.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out the C4C blog for more details on this challenge, Kim's blog for all the other designer's teasing you today, and of course, my crazies!!

SFYTT Just a Note

I am in LOVE with this sassy little kitty from the new Cattitude set at There She Goes. So much so, that I had to make another card with her!! I know all the other kitties will be jealous, but they will get over it!!

I paired her with a sentiment from my Autumn Mosaic set...it just felt right!! My kitty was colored with Copics, and my sketch is a Sketch For You To Try. The DP I used is from the new Pixie-liscious pack from Cosmo Cricket. My Ribbon is SU, and my brads are from Micahel's. I used Sour Apple(MFT), Taken With Teal, and Elegant Eggplant(SU) cardstock.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Digital Designs Day and the WSC!!!

Today we at My Favorite Things, are working together to show you some of our NEW Digital Designs...and man are they FUN!! Today, we are releasing:

Halloween Dotty Papers
Bird House Template
Full Circle Treat Box Template
All-Season Wagon Template
Pumpkin Box Template

I decided to work with the Pumpkin Box Template. Now, here is the SUPER cool part about MFT's templates(especially for those of us that don't own fancy cutting machines), most if not all of MFT's templates include several versions to work with whichever software or machine you own...but they also include a cut and print file, for those of us still workin' da scissors!! LOL!! I don't have a fancy schmancy machine, so my template was cut out and put together, rather easily I might add!!

My base and lid were cut out of Orange Fizz cardstock, and my stem was cut out of Sour Apple cardstock(both from MFT). I added some Bo Bunny Googlie Eyes, and some Mark Richards bling for the mouth. My ribbons are a combination of MFT and SU ribbons.

So that my box wouldn't be lonely, and so that you all wouldn't think I had started to like 3-D projects, which I DON'T, I made a little 3x3 card to go along with it!!

THAT'S where the Wednesday Stamp Club challenge comes into play!! This week's challenge is to Play Dress Up....whether it's dressing up for Halloween, or a night on the town, we want to see you get dressed up!! I used my super cute little Ghostie from the Tiny Town set...I know, I'm obsessed with this set!!
So, want to see some more AMAZING stuff??? Head on over to Kim's blog, where she will have a master list of all the other designers playing along, at 11am EST!! Have fun!! Thanks for stopping by!!

For my card today, I used the layout of the inspiration piece to inspire mine, as well as placing buttons to mimic the white dots on the walls. A personalised stamp, whether customised or being able to write in your own name is such a great idea for handmade cards.... adds even more of a handcrafted touch.

Miss You Latte - à la modes

Hey everyone, I am back to show you the second of this month's NEWEST à la modes being released on Tuesday, September 21st at 10pmEST!! My Favorite Things has TWO new à la modes being released this month that you are going to LOVE!! The new VIP kit will be released that evening, too, so you don't want to miss out!! If you aren't familiar with our new line of stamps, here are some details!!
  • a la modes will be available only in rubber
  • Each set is produced in the USA using the highest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.
  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!
  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety after purchase.
  • $10.95 for the 3 x 4" set.

I started by stamping my image from the Miss You a Latte set on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored her with my Copics. My sketch is last week's Sketch For You To Try. The DP I used is from the Basic Grey Nook and Pantry line. I paired it with Hot Fudge, Groovy Guava and Tangerine Tango. I made my sentiment panel using SU punches, ribbons are from SU, my spiral clips are from Creative Express, and my brads are from Michael's.

For the inside, I used another sentiment from the set, and I decided to do my DP panels the same way as the front of them card.
Well that is it for me for now!! Be sure to head on over to Kim's blog at 11amEST to see a full list of designers sharing teaser's with you today!! Have fun!!
