Dirty Dozen- My First DD Card

I am really trying to make an effort to post everyday, but somehow, I forgot to make a card for today. Duuuuh!! I thought, and I thought, and then I remembered.....I have all my Dirty Dozen projects that I can show you when I want to now, so here goes!!

This is actually the first card I made as a DD member. It was for October 2008's "For a Song"(link will only work if you are a Fan Club member, which you SHOULD be!!) gallery.....so I BET you can guess what it is......hehehehe. Oh ya, that's right.....Baby Got BACK!! ROFL!! For my card, I paired my Gina K. hippo(From Just So Hippy by Melanie Muenchinger) with a sentiment from the My Favorite Things Twisted Sentiments set. Cardstock colors are Old Olive, Bashful Blue and Rose Red. My White is Gina K. White, and all my brads and ribbon came from SU. I paper pieced my Hippo using some Rose Red DP from SU, and the other DP is from SU as well.
Well, that is it for me for now...hope you enjoyed it!!

MTSC71 Let's....

I KNOW I have said it before, and I am sure I will say it again...but I LOVE the Pure Innocence line from My Favorite Things....it's just awesome!! Not only do I LOVE the PI line, and MFT, but I love sketch challenges...and Mercy's is one of my favorites!!

For my card today, I started by stamping my PI Boy and Dog Tree Swing image on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then I colored it with my copics. I then layered it with Hot Fudge(MFT), Pacific Point, and Summer Sun. My DP is from the SU Good Morning Sunshine DSP pack, and my ribbon is from SU as well. My spiral clip is from Creative Express.

For the inside, I used more of the DP, as well as the cardstock. I stamped part of my sentiment on the front, added dots with my Copic multi liner, and then added the rest inside. This card is about as close as I come to masculine, most of the time....
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Sheltering Tree

I don't know if you know it, but on this past Wednesday, My Favorite Things released a new Stephanie Fizer set called Sheltering Tree. I am a HUGE fan of all of the Fizer stamps we carry, so I couldn't help but get this set inky!! Also, this week's Wednesday Stamp Club challenge for MFT was to make something celebrating Earth Day, here are the details!!

Your WSC Challenge this week is to create a project representative of Earth Day
OR
Use any MFT tree set (Grow Love, Sheltering Tree or...)
OR
Use the new Sheltering Tree DIGI Paper Pack

Once your project is created, upload it to the SCS Gallery using keyword MFTWSC042110 OR upload it to your blog, and then link it to the MFT Blog!

I started by stamping my circle image(you can faintly see it in Kiwi Kiss ink on the Kiwi Kiss panel), and then I cut it out using my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. I layered it with Summer Sun and Hot Fudge(MFT). I then stamped my tree separately on an MFT Perfect Panel, colored it with my Copics, and cut it out. The flowers were made with an SU punch, and I added brads from Michael's to the center. The owls were also stamped on an MFT Panel, colored with Copics, and cut out. My DP is from the Good Morning Sunshine DSP pack. I followed Jen's Sketch For You To Try from LAST Saturday. My sentiment was stamped, and then punched out with an SU punch.

For the inside, I used more of the yummy SU DSP, and I also stamped my owls again, and colored them with my Copics.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!
