My card today is another SUO, YAYYY!! I decided to play in today's Featured Stamper challenge, and it was a totally new gallery for me. Today's FS is Dianne(minnidr), and her gallery is amazing. I chose this card of her's to CASE. I changed a few things, as per the rules. I changed the amount of layers, eliminated the stamping on the base and added DP, added brads, used an oval for the sentiment, changed the ribbon, and added piercing. My colors are Apricot Appeal, Sage Shadow, and Basic Black. The DSP is the new Nouveau Chic. My image from One of a Kind was stamped three times-once on Whisper White with Sage Shadow, once with Basic Black, and once on Sage Shadow with Basic Black. I colored the Apricot layer with my SU markers(Pumpkin Pie and Apricot Appeal), and popped it up. The middle part of the Sage layer was cut out, and then I punched a hole in the center with my 1/2in circle punch. The brads and ribbon are all from SU. I don't know about you, but I think it is about time they FINALLY made some black grosgrain...took them long enough!!
Very nice!! I like the colors!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Jess! LOVE the colors! I am about to sit down and email you but if I don't chat with you for some reason, good luck! I am thinking of you!!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteLoved this when I saw it on SCS and loving it here all over again. Great colours!
ReplyDeleteAs for the surgery, I was knocked out when my wisdom teeth were taken out and it was not bad at all! Just make sure you have a bag of frozen peas to apply IMMEDIATELY upon your return home to keep the swelling at bay (as well as any pain killers they may give you - make sure you take them the first day for sure). Sounds like all your teeth are through so you shouldn't have any bruising from impacted teeth - bonus!
Enjoy having milkshakes, jellow, applesauce, yoghurt (frozen is great)and beware as you'll have "dog breath" post surgery until the stitches come out. You'll do just fine and it will be over before you know it.
Gorgeous card! LOVE the colors! Good luck tomorrow!! Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice card!! tfs!!
ReplyDeleteI already commented on your beautiful card in your SCS gallery, but I wanted to come here and wish you well on your oral surgery tomorrow. Try not to worry, my friend, and think about how much better you are going to feel when you are through with it all!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your mom enjoyed the new Harry Potter movie! My DH and DS went to see it opening night at midnight and loved it. They are such huge HP fans. I, of course, could not go to a midnight movie and expect to be at work at 8:00 a.m.
Fantastic, Jessie! That's a stamp that I've always had difficulty using...I'll need to CASE YOU now ;)
ReplyDeleteGood luck tomorrow!
Card is beautiful! But the most important thing is Harry Potter...saw it twice already and loved it. Could of added more detail but I heard they might make two movies for the last book! But it was great!
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous card! I didn't realize there's black grosgrain now (duh) anyway, no need to be afraid of the oral surgery, it's nice to get some sleep and you will be fine. I'm sure you're going to have someone drive you that's good! I remember when I had oral surgery, I woke up super emotional from the anesthesia, it was funny. I can't wait to see HP at the IMAX next month (we always wait until its been out a while, in fact we're finally going to see Transformers this next weekend). I will say a prayer for you, girl!
ReplyDeleteJessie this is gorgeous!! Love those colors!
ReplyDeleteI will be thinking about you tomorrow...I'm sure it will be fine. Drugs are our friends! :)
Gorgeous card, Jessie! I just read your post below about your surgery tomorrow. Good luck with everything! {{hugs}}
