MFTWSC118- Hi, Friend

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! That means it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things! It's MY favorite sketch challenge!

For my card today, I used the Inspired by the Front Porch-Spring set. I keep hoping Spring will show up, and while it's getting closer to Spring, it's still not quite Spring here...it's sort of getting depressing!!! Anyway, I stamped my tulips on X-Press It blending card, and then colored them with my Copics. I used the Circle Stax Die-namics to cut it, and my paper panels out. My paper is from the MME Dilly Dally paper pad. The border I used is the Open Scalloped Border Die-namics. I used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics for my sentiment, and embellished it and the rest of the card with Michael's brads. My ribbon is Wild Cherry grosgrain, and I also used a spiral clip. The cardstock I used is Smooth White, Wild Cherry, and Natural all from MFT.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out the MFT blog for a full list of designers participating in today's sketch!

My base is also Smooth White, and I used Grapesicle to cut out my Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics. To accent my patterned paper, I used the Open Scalloped Border Die-namics in Steel Grey. To finish, I accented my flower with the Large Leaf Filled Flourish Die-namics cut out of my MME Fiddlesticks paper.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Nutmeg is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

The other set we are releasing is the Journal Lines set. I didn't use it, but if you are a scrapbooker, or into mixed media, you are going to LOVE it!!

March Creative Challenge- Color Combos

The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique.
This month, we are highlighting our favorite color combinations using MFT Ink, cardstock, buttons, ribbon, and felt.
Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a project to share with you today.

For my projects tonight, I chose two different sets, but two of my most FAVORITE color combos!! I am in love with Wild Cherry, so it is featured in both combos...and who could blame me, it's so PRETTY!

For my first card, I paired Smooth WhiteWild Cherry with Jellybean Green and Kraft cardstock. I used the new Poppies set, which was stamped using both Wild Cherry and Jellybean Green ink. You can tell by the close up picture that the ink covers so well!

I used Kraft ink to stamp my sentiments, and cut them out using the Blueprint 1 Die-namics. I also used one of the sketches provided along with the Die-namics.

I embellished with a Wild Cherry button which has some twine through it, Michael's brads,  and Kraft ribbon.

For the inside of my card, I used more of the same supplies.

My second card features the super cute new Party Time Doodle Garden set. She was colored with Copics, and paper pieced as well. The color combo on this card is my favorite right now-Smooth White,  Wild Cherry, Berrylicious, and Gumdrop Green. I LOVE how bright and cheerful it is!

You can see by the close up photo that I cut out her arms, and present separately to give them some dimension. If you don't do this while paper piecing, it tends to make the arms look funny and lost.

For my sentiment, I again used the Blueprints 1 Die-namics, and some buttons in all of my colors: Wild Cherry, Berrylicious, and Gumdrop Green. My ribbon is Wild Cherry.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies!

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to head on over to the MFT blog for a full list of designers participating in this month's challenge!! Have a great day!

Lucky Duck/ Hooked On Quack Blog Hop Challenge

It's time for our March release, and we are SUPER excited!! Not only do we have all our fabulous new designers, but starting tomorrow we will be FINALLY introducing the new sets from our two FABULOUS new artists. Today, we have a new set from Torico, and one brainstormed by our snarky and hilarious Trendsetters, so let's get to it!!!

If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck…well, it’s probably a Lucky Duck!! Ok, that was corny, but this SUPER cute set by Torico will make you squee with delight…could it get any cuter? Lots of ducks, and stamps to build the perfect scene, it’s so versatile.

Lucky Duck is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 24 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

While brainstorming the sentiments for Lucky Duck, as always, we took a turn for the dark side…..what else can I say besides this set is duck-ing awesome.

Hooked on Quack is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 7 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

For my card today, I used one of the SUPER cute ducks from the Lucky Duck set, and a saying from the Hooked on Quack set. I colored my Duck with Copics, and drew the grass in with Copics. He was cut out and placed on a circle cut out of X-Press It blending card using the Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics from My Favorite Things. The paper circles were cut out with the MFT Circle Stax Die-namics, and the paper came from the Lilybee Designs Buttercup paper pad. I used Michael's brads, and Sweet Tooth Grosgrain to embellish my card. My sketch is this week's sketch challenge from There She Goes.
