I'm running super late with my post today, but I had to play along with today's challenge! When I think warm, cozy color combinations, These three colors together definitely inspire warmth in my book! They are Paver Red(MFT), Jawbreaker(Bazzil), and Fossil(MFT), which match the Carta Bella Winter Fun paper pad perfectly. I used the MFT Scalloped Edge Ribbon Die-namics for my borders, and the new Snowflake Doily Die-namics under my image and sentiment. The sentiment I used is from the Winter Trinkets set, and I paired it with the Lexi's Winter Fun set. To embellish my card, I used Paver Red Grosgrain, Michael's brads, hemp cord, and a spiral clip. To finish it off, I used some White Glaze pen to enhance my snowflakes a bit.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out the Kraftin' Kimmie blog to see what my teammates have created for today's challenge, and have a great day!

Holiday Tags

This week's There She Goes challenge was to make something for gift giving, and what better way to personalize a gift than with a handmade gift tag!! We are also celebrating There She Goes Again week this past week, and so I made this to spotlight one of the older sets.

I used the MFT Tradtional Tags Stax Die-namics for my tag bases using Bayou Blue cardstock. I paired it with some yummy MME Winter Wonderland paper. My images are from the Holiday Tags set, and were colored with Copics, then layered with Wild Cherry and Sour Apple cardstock from MFT. My sentiments were cut out using the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics from MFT. To finish, I used Michael's brads, the Icicle Border Die-namics from MFT, some Sweet Tooth grosgrain, and red jute twine(from the Ribbon Carousel).

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! Enjoy your weekend!

MFTWSC102-Squeeze!!

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! That means it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things! It's MY favorite sketch challenge.

For my card today, I used the super cute Pure Innocence Bear Hugs set again! I stamped her on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics, Her shirt was paper pieced, as well. I layered her with Banana Split(Bazzill), Hot Fudge, and Fossil cardstock. I used the Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics for my sentiment, alone with some brads from Michael's. Under my image, I used the MME Tangerine line, along with the Simply Scalloped Border Die-namics. To finish, I added some Hot Fudge grosgrain, a spiral clip, and a Hot Fudge button with some hemp cord.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, along with the new Looped Border Die-namics.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2012.

Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the gallery.  Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC102 for a chance to win this week prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, December 18th to play along.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out the MFT blog for a full list of designers participating in today's sketch!

December New Product Tour!

That's right everyone, we have made it through teasers, and now, all the new sets are available in the My Favorite Things Store!!!! Before you go shop, be sure to hop around to all the designers and leave them some love! You never know who has the candy!!

Tonight, I am showing off the new Pure Innocence Bear Hugs set, and she is just ADORABLE!!! She sells for $9, and is available now!

For my first project tonight, I decided to make a gift tag. It would be the perfect addition to any gift bag, and add that perfect touch for your friend or loved one who needs a bear hug :). I used the Traditional Tags Stax Die-namics for my base. I stamped my girl on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with Copics. My paper is form the MME Lavender line, and I paired it with Blu Raspberry, Sweet Tooth, and Bubblegum card stock. I used the new Looped Border Die-namics for my loop, and the Sentiment Strips Die-namics for my sentiment. My ribbon is Sweet Tooth Grosgrain, and also used hemp cord, a Bubblegum  button, and some Michael's brads.

My second project is a card using the same MME paper pad, and cardstock colors(Blu Raspberry, Bubblegum, and Sweet Tooth). I colored her with Copics, as well, and paper pieced her dress. I used the new Mini Double Dot Border Die-namics for my border, and one of the Sentimental Flourish Die-namics behind my image. My embellishments are a Blu Raspberry button, hemp cord, Sweet Tooth grosgrain, and some Michael's brads. My sentiment was once again added using the Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Today I decided to use another of the GORGEOUS new Pure Innocence sets being released this month, Warm Wishes. I LOVE her outfit so MUCH, and she reminds me so much of my nieces, I just love her. I stamped her on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was then cut out with my Oval Stax Die-namics, and layered with the Oval Decorative Doily Die-namics in Fossil. My other cardstock colors are Sweet Tooth, Wild Cherry, and Jellybean Green. I used those colors of cardstock, minus the Sweet Tooth, to cut out my flower with the Winter Rose Die-namics. It's SUCH a gorgeous flower. Under my main image, I used two different Sentimental Flourish Die-namics on top of a piece of Authentique Festive paper. At the bottom of my paper layer, I used the new Mini Double Dots Border Die-namics. I finished by using the Sentiment Strips Die-namics for my sentiment. To embellish my card, I used Jellybean Green grosgrain, hemp cord, Michael's brads, and a spiral clip.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.
