RCC72 Harvest of Love

Hey everyone!! It's time for another Ribbon Carousel challenge, which I have paired with this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge!! There She Goes is sponsoring their sketch this week, and I am hostessing the Ribbon Carousel challenge, so let's get to it!!

This week I am challenging you all  to use some buttons and twine on your projects!  Use whatever you'd like.......baker's twine, jute, or hemp cord and a buttton (or more) of your choice!

For my card today, I used the Pumpkins on the Vine set from There She Goes, paired with a sentiment from Bountiful Blessings. I used Walnut Vintage Seam Binding  and Natural Jute Twine both from the Ribbon Carousel. My image was cut out with the Oval Stax Die-namics, and the Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics was cut out of Hot Fudge cardstock for it's layer. My paper is from the Lilybee Designs Autumn Spice paper pad, and I paired it with Bravo Burgundy(SU), Orange Fizz(MFT), and Hot Fudge cardstock. The buttons I used are from Buttons Galore(Latte) and MFT(Hot Fudge and Orange Fizz). To finish, I used a spiral clip from Creative Express, and Michael's brads.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out the Ribbon Carousel blog to see all my AMAZING teammates cards, and also visit the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog to see what they have cooked up!!

TSG174 Swing BIG!!

This week's challenge at There She Goes is a sketch challenge based on a card I created recently. I LOVE making sketches, almost as much as I love playing with them!!

I used the new Swing Big set for my card, which I paired with some We R Memory Keepers Vintage T paper. The cardstock I used is Ballet Blue(SU), Orange Fizz(MFT), and Wild Wasabi(SU). My ribbon is White Twill ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel, and I also used brads from Michael's. To create my paper panels, I used the MFT Rounded Banner Stax Die-namics, and the Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

It's challenge time again with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. And we've got another FUN one for ya!! So please play along, we can't wait to see your creations!!! Share them here, share them on our Facebook fan page and share them in your online galleries, like SCS!!

This week our hostess is KIM O!! And she wants us to use FALL COLORS!! Well, I guess it is officially fall now, so let's get into the spirit!! Don't you love the cooler temperatures, going for walks in woolly sweaters and watching the leaves turn?? SO much fun! Have some krafty fun and join us this week because we'd LOVE to see your KKS designs. We hope you can play along!!!
For my card tonight I combined this week's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge-to use fall colors, with this week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge- to make a thankful card. I stamped my Izzy Ice Cream image on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was then layered with Really Rust(SU), Jellybean Green(MFT), and Soft Suede(SU) card stock. I used some old SU Apple Cider DP, and even though I covered it up, there is a scalloped layer at the bottom of the paper using Soft Suede and the Simply Scalloped Medium Die-namics from MFT. My ribbon is some YUMMY Brown Sheer Ruffled Edge ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel.

ISSC34 Happy Birthday!

Hey everyone, and happy Friday!!!! It is time for another I Spy sketch challenge, and it is ALSO time for the Trendsetters at There She Goes to post NEW cards using this month's There She Goes Again sets!!
I'm so excited about the fantastic lady we are highlighting today.  None other than my FABULOUS MFT teammate,  Joanne Basile (basilefamily @ SCS)!! Joanne is SO talented, and one of the SWEETEST people I know!!  This week we are featuring this card.

For my card tonight, I used the Make A Wish set from There She Goes. I stamped it on X-Press It Blending  card, and then colored both pieces with my Copics. I cut out the cake separately, and then added it on TOP of the pedestal to make it "sit" on it. I was inspired by an old Cosmo Cricket paper pad for my colors, and then couldn't make it work, so I ended up using the MME Meadowlark paper pad. I used the MFT Little Open Scalloped Border Die-namics for my border, and cut it out of Grape Jelly cardstock. My other cardstock colors are Tempting Turquoise(SU), Sweet Tooth, and Black Licorice from MFT. To finish, I used some Grape Jelly grosgrain from MFT, oval punches from SU, and brads from Michael's.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out my fellow I Spy teammates cards for this sketch, and ALSO check out the There She Goes blog for a look at THEIR cards using this month's TSGA sets.

MFTWSC90- Best Witches

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! That means it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things! It's MY favorite sketch challenge!

For my card tonight, I used the super cute  Pure Innocence Little Witch. I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was then layered with Black Licorice Cardstock. I used some cute American Crafts Halloween paper for my background panels. The one with the spiders was cut out with my Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics. I used Grape Jelly Grosgrain, Orange Fizz buttons, and Charcoal Twine as embellishments, along with Michael's brads and a spiral clip. My cardstock colors are Black Licorice, Grape Jelly, Orange Fizz and Sweet Tooth.

For the inside, I used more of the American Crafts paper, along with another sentiment from this set. The strips of paper were cut out with the First Place Award Die-namics.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2012.

Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the gallery.  Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC90 for a chance to win this week prize (see above). September Creative Challenge-No Patterned Paper

Hey everyone and welcome to this month's My Favorite Things Creative Challenge!!! This month's challenge was SUPER fun!! If you aren't familiar with the challenge, here is a little background:

The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we were challenged to create a card or project with no patterned paper.  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a project to share with you today.

For my first card, I used the Distressed Diamonds set to create my background pieces. They were stamped with Cantaloupe, Pear Tart, and Summer Sky ink from Memento on Sweet Tooth cardstock. I used the Fishtail Banner Die-namics to cut them out. The base of my card is Fossil cardstock. My embellishments are Hemp Cord and Michael's brads.

Here is a detail shot of my sentiment panel. I used the Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics in Sno Cone cardstock, the High-rise Lowercase Alphabet Die-namics in Sour Apple, and the Layered Rose Die-namics in Banana Split.

And I just can't get enough of the Large Fancy Flourish Die-namics...it's so gorgeous!!

For the inside, I used the Clearly Sentimental about Family stamp set, along with a piece of the Large Fancy Flourish Die-namics. My sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and Cantaloupe.

For my second card, I used the Pure Innocence Superboy set. He was colored with Copics, and then layered with Whirlypop(Bazzill), Lemon Drop, and Wild Cherry cardstock. I used the Stacking Stars Die-namics to embellish, along with Michael's brads, Wild Cherry Grosgrain, and some Lemon Drop Twine. For my background, I used a stamp from the Lollipop Treat set with Ladybug and Dandelion ink from Memento.  For my scallops, I used the Simply Scallloped Medium Die-namics.

I personalized the SUPER symbol using the Mini Banner Day Alphabet. I used a J for Jonah. Jonah is my cousin Casie's son(story to follow, maybe).

I decided to personalize it a little bit more by spelling out Jonah with the Mini Banner Day Alphabet.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and a sentiment from the Pure Innocence EMT Girl set.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now!! Head to Kim's Blog for a full list of Designers playing along today, and have a great day!!
