MFTWSC41-I Pick You

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! Since it is Wednesday, it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things!!

For my card tonight, I started by stamping my new Pure Innocence-Pumpkin Patch Girl, on X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored it with my Copics. My image was then layered with Orange Fizz, Bayou Blue, and Hot Fudge. My paper is from the MME Six by Six All Spice pad. I used some SU ribbon, and linen thread, as well as, an SU Kraft Corduroy button. My brads are from Michael's. For my sentiment panel, I used the Dog Tag Die-namics. My scallops were made with the Small Open Scalloped Strip.

Here are the Die-namics that I used:

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a full list of designers participating in today's sketch!!

TSG125- World's Best Boy

Hey everyone! It is time for another There She Goes challenge!!!

This week our challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week- Jackie! She has challenged us to make a card using this fun sketch. This sketch, well, it almost killed me. (DRAMA QUEEN ALERT)

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card using the sketch, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (October 17th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG125 so we can check out your beautiful work!

For my card tonight, I started by stamping the ribbon image from the World's Best Stamp Set on My Mind's Eye Fine& Dandy paper. I then cut it out with scissors, being sure to cut out what would be the inside of the ribbon loops. I then used the World's Best Die to cut out my white layer. I colored the inside part of the ribbon loops with my copics, then layered the two together. For the inside panel, I stamped it separately, and cut it out. I used the World's Best Die to cut out my paper flags, as well. My scallops were made using the Small Scalloped Die-namics. Linen Thread from SU was used for my flag rope, and held on by brads from Michael's. At the base of my card, I stamped the Boy sentiment repeatedly.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out the There She Goes blog to see a list of other designers participating. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

October Creative Challenge

Hey Everyone!!!

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're going to "be negative." Our designers will show you what you can do with the negative space after you cut out your Die-namics, or the other half of patterned paper, card stock or felt that is leftover when you're done with your Die-namics! Visit Kim's Blog to see exactly what we've been up to, you'll find a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!

For my card tonight, I started by stamping my Pure Innocence- Have Hope set on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. I cut her out after coloring her, and paper piecing her heart with some Authentique Uncommon paper. To create my Flourish effect, I cut the flourishes, using my Fancy Flourish Die-namics, out of my Authentique Uncommon paper. I then used the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics to cut out my sentiment panel. I then layered it on top of some Black Licorice card stock, except the sentiment. For the sentiment, I put a small white panel with my sentiment stamped on it. It is slightly popped up, but it is hard to tell in the photo. I used MFT Black Collection ribbon, and some Michael's brads, as well.

For the inside, I cut the main piece of the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics out of Black Licorice Cardstock, and then cut the smaller piece out of the center. I used the actual flourishes from the front of the card, and popped up the scalloped circle panel. Using the extra pieces, or in this case, the actual die cuts, on the inside of your card is a GREAT way to use those up, and it makes the card so much more personal.

Here are the Die-namics I used on my card.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to head to Kim's blog to see a list of the other Designers participating today!! Thanks for stopping by!!

RCC24- BLING

Hey Everyone, and Happy Tuesday!! I am almost out of my funk/post-release coma!! Just in time for The Ribbon Carousel Challenge (RCC24)!!

This weeks challenge is brought to us by the amazingly talented Sparkle Smith! Sparkle wants us to get our sparkle and bling on. So make your creation with some sparkle and bling to join us this week.

Sparkle Creations is our sponsor this week with some of the cutest stamps EVAH!

For my card tonight, I decided to use the SUPER CUTE Cupcake Ruby stamp. I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored her with my Copics. I paper pieced part of her dress, and then covered most of it with glitter..VERY Blingy!! My paper is from the Lilybee Designs Happily Lost pack. I paired it with Rose Red, Orange Fizz, and Black Licorice paper. My ribbon is Black Seam Binding from The Ribbon Carousel. I also used Michael's Brads, a Creative Express Spiral Clip, and the MFT First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics for my sentiment.

We'd love for you to join us this week! Here are the details:
  • Make your NEW creation following the ribbon carousel challenge of the week. Any submissions made prior to the challenge date will be deleted. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
  • Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC24) with a direct link back to THIS post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! (A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!)
  • Link up your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up, but don't worry, it will appear shortly.
  • Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Swimming For Katie

I was too late to get in on the hop, but it's NEVER too late to lend a helping hand!! This is a great cause for a fellow stamper who is fighting for her life, and trying to take care of her beautiful family. Even if you can't help much, spreading the word, and doing whatever you can is plenty!! Thanks for taking the time to look, and if you get a chance, be sure to read Katie's story. If it doesn't break your heart, I don't know what will.

Remember to tell the people that you love how you feel, and don't sweat the small stuff. In the grand scheme of things, it could be SO much worse.

Hugs and Stampy Love!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Tammy's Recipe

Hey Everyone!! I finally crawled out of my post release coma, and decided to stamp!! LOL!! I should REALLY learn not to procrastinate, LOL!!

It is time for another Crazy 4 Challenges, challenge, and today's challenge is a great one!

Our challenge this week is a .... Recipe Challenge – Use only LEAF images, your card must include a rust or burnt orange color (but is not limited to only this color), only 2 fibers (ribbon, lace, twine, fabric) and only 3 embellishments (but whether you choose to use just 3 embellishments, or 3 different types of embellishments is your call!) No leaf images? Use a plant or flower with leaves image!

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C108. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

For my card tonight, I used the Nature of Friendship set from There She Goes. I started by stamping my sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I then stamped my leaf images with Colorbox Chalk Inks...don't know the specific colors, but they are part of one of the "flowers". I then cut that out with my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. It was layered with Orange Fizz, Really Rust, and Hot Fudge. I sponged the edges with Rich Cocoa ink, to soften it up a bit...wish I hadn't now, but oh well, lol. My paper is from the MME Stella and Rose Mabel pack. I used two different ribbons from the Ribbon Carousel, Walnut Seam binding and Brown Grosgrain Looped Edge ribbon. My brads are from Michael's and my spiral clip is from Creative Express.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! Be sure to pop by and see what all the other Crazies have created!!

For my card, I started by stamping Fred on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored it with my Copics. I then layered him with Orange Fizz, Sour Apple, and Fossil. My white cardstock is Sweet Cream, and I used it to cut out my Oval Tab Die-namics, as well as my Bon Appetit Die-namics. I am all about a sentiment tag, and I KNOW that's not what this is supposed to be used for, but I keep doing it anyway! LOL! My paper is from the MME Lime Twist Fly a Kite pack. I used SU ribbon, and SU corduroy button, Linen Thread, Michael's brads, and a Creative Express spiral clip.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

For the inside, I used more of the same paper, and another sentiment from this set!!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Before you go, here are some need to know details:

For my first card tonight, I used the GORGEOUS new Oval Decorative Doily Die-namics. I LOVE that we FINALLY have a oval die, and it is the PERFECT size to fit a Pure Innocence image in, and makes for a WONDERFUL layering tool! It was used to cut out some MME Lost & Found Blush collection. I stamped the new a la mode Fight Like a Girl on X-Press It blending card, and then colored it with my Copics. I paired it with Bubblegum, Pure Poppy, and Black Licorice. My ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel, and my brads are from Hedgehop Paper Crafts. I used my new FAVORITE Oval Tab Die-namics for my sentiment. The pink paper I used for her shirt and on the base are from the Authentique Uncommon pack.

For the inside, I stamped another girl on the inside, and used more of the same paper and dies. I also used more of the same brads, and some Charcoal Twine.

For my second card tonight, I started by stamping my Pure Innocence- Girl Doctor on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. I then layered her with Sour Apple, Red Hot, and Fossil. My paper is from the MME Lime Twist Life of the Party pad. I used the new Postage Stamp Border Die-namics on one side of my image. I also used the new Bon Appetit Die-namics, but this time, I turned it into a pill bottle. I even cut one out of cork, so that I could make it look as if it had a stopper. My sentiment was cut out with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics. For my heart, I used the Notched Tag Die-namics. My ribbon is from the MFT Red Collection, and my brads are from Michael's.

For the inside, I used the Postage Stamp Border Die-namics, in layers, and a couple more of the Notched Tag Die-namics hearts. I also used another sentiment from this set.

Here is a look at all the Die-namics that I used, today.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out Kim's Blog to see which other designers are participating in today's teasers.
