MFTWSC32- Books Build Character

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! Since it is Wednesday, it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things!!

For my card tonight, I used the Stephanie Fizer set, I {Heart} Books. I stamped my girl on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was then layered with Basic Grey and Night of Navy from SU, and Tangy Orange from MFT. I paired her with some MME Lime Twist Out of the Blue paper. For my sentiment, I used the new Bracket Edge Tab Die-namics to cut out my tab. I also used the Simply Scalloped Medium Die-namics. My brads are from Michael's, and my button is from SU. I paired it with some Mandarin Orange Twine from MFT.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, as well as, another sentiment and image from this ADORABLE set. I haven't used it in forever, so this was fun!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a full list of designers participating in today's sketch!!

Creative Challenge-Fancy Folds

Hey everyone, and welcome to this month's Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things!!

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're all making cards featuring Fun Folds! Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!

For my card tonight, I decided to use the Pocket Card Fold from Splitcoast Stampers. I started with a Rich Razzleberry(SU) base. I followed the directions on SCS, mostly, except I didn't round my corners. To give my small fold on the front some interest, I used the Bracket Edge Die-namics. My Pure Innocence- Poppy girl was stamped on X-Press It blending card, and then colored with my Copics. I paper pieced her dress with some MME Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky paper, which was also used on the rest of the card. My other card stock colors are Bermuda Bay(SU), and Sour Apple(MFT). I cut her out, and layered her on the front after assembling my base. My sentiment was cut out using the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics. I used some Michael's brads and ribbons, as well as, a spiral clip from Creative Express.

For the my inside tag, I used the new Tag You're It Die-namics. I used some more paper on the bottom of it, and then stamped a sentiment from the Pure Innocence-Sunflower Girl set. My twine is Lilac, Caribbean, and Honeydew.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to head to Kim's blog to see a full list of designers playing in today's challenge!

TSG119 You're Zoo-pendous!

Hey everyone!! It is time for this week's There She Goes Challenge, and this week our featured Trendsetter, Tammy, is challenging us to create a fabulous card using this sketch that she came up with!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that uses that sketch provided, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Aug. 15). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG119 so we can check out your beautiful work!

For my card tonight, I used the new Zoo-Pendous set. I stamped my hippos on X-Press It Blending Card and then colored it with my Copics. I layered them with Pink Pirouette and Going Gray. My paper is from MME Stella&Rose, and my ribbon is from SU. I also used some Blossom Twine from MFT. My brads are from Michael's.
Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have an amazing day!

Crazy 4 Challenges-Shaped Card

Hey everyone, and welcome to this week's Crazy 4 Challenges, challenge. This week, we are making shaped cards, and so I went to my old throw back, a round card.

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C99. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

For my card, I started by stamping my Pure Innocence- Sunflower Girl. She was stamped on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored with Copics, except her skirt, which was paper pieced. I then cut her out using part of the Well Worn Label Die-namics. For my card, I started with a Night of Navy base. My paper is from the MME Stella&Rose Hattie line. I also used some ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel. Speaking of the Ribbon Carousel, my girl Corinna got married today, yaaaay, and is having a HUGE sale!! 20% off of everything, just be sure to use the code WEDDING. She will be gone on her "honeymoon" for a week, so she will begin shipping orders again next Friday, but better get to shopping while all that yummy ribbon is available!!!

For the inside, I used Mustard, and Baja Breeze to create more layers. I stamped a sentiment from the set, and my girl, again. For the center of the flower, I added a brad from Michael's.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! Be sure to check out the other Crazies to see what they have been up to!

Forgotten Stamp Friday- Week 29

Happy Friday everyone!! Since it is Friday, at least for a little while longer, lol, it is time for Forgotten Stamp Friday. Sorry I am running so behind today, life....sometimes it doesn't always go the way I plan.

If you aren't familiar with this challenge, it is a personal challenge that I have posed to myself to make me use some of my un-inked, unused, and neglected stamps. The only rule is that it has to have been un-inked or owned for 6 months. Digi images count, as well...we tend to collect those, and then never use them, too! If you decide to play along, just be sure to enter your name in the Mr. Linky, and when uploading to an online gallery, use the keyword..FSF29!!!

ALSO, today is the last day that challenges will be posted in the Dare To Get Dirty challenge forum at SCS(THIS CHALLENGE WILL BE POSTED TOMORROW MORNING), but you still have plenty of time to upload!! My card is also for one of today's AWESOME Dare To Get Dirty challenges, being hosted by Holly(Toy)!!!....not going to tell you what, when, where or why the challenge is/am/ are, but I will tell you where to look!! Fan club members can only see this forum, so if you aren't one, become one!! SCS is one of the GREATEST stamping sites in the WORLD, and the small fee they charge to be a member is well worth it!

For my card today, I started by stamping my birds from the Love Birds set, sold by There She Goes, on X-Press It Blending card. I then colored them with my Copics. They were layered with MFT Hot Fudge and Orange Fizz, and SU So Saffron. I used some Jillbean Soup Dutch Mustard paper, and paired it with some SU wide Chocolate Chip ribbon. My twine is Cappuccino from MFT.
Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and I can't wait to see if you play along!

I See.... an MFT Release Blog Hop and SHOP!!

Happy My Favorite Things Release Day!! This is one of my most FAVORITE days of the month, and I know it is for you, as well!! As always, tonight's hop started at the GORGEOUS and AMAZING, Kim's blog!! If you didn't get started there, head on back!!

For my card tonight, I couldn't resist using this ADORABLE new à la mode I Spy...isn't she a PEACH!! I stamped her on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. Her dress was paper pieced with some Basic Grey Off Beat paper. I have been going through and organizing a TON since my move, and have SO many unused paper packs it is ridiculous!!! I found this ADORABLE pack in the bunch, and wanted to play with it! I used the Scalloped Ribbon Die-namics to cut out the orange paper strip..that I then pretty much covered up, but hey! The Small Simply Scalloped Die-namics was used, as well. To make her magnifying glass look like glass, I added some Crystal Effects. My flower is the new Rolled Retro Flower Die-namics being released tonight. I really tried to use it with actual paper, but resorted to my felt.....why do these flowers pick on me??lol! My ribbon and twine are both from MFT, and my brads are all from Michael's. I used SU punches for my sentiment. My cardstock colors are Orange Fizz, Sno Cone, and Black Licorice.
My card was also made for Jodi Collin's Dare To Get Dirty challenge.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and another saying from the set...I really do LOVE this paper, and the new a la modes...SO CUTE!!

Well, that is enough jibber jabber out of me!! Next stop on tonight's hop is the SUPER talented, funny, amazing, crazy, wild, awesome, sweet, supportive, and basically just all around ROCKIN Wendy Bond!!!
