I Love Sketches and Ribbon!!!

Today's sketch at SCS was PERFECT for me, so I had to play along!! It allowed me to use my FAVORITE There She Goes set, Bloom...yayyy!! Since it is my week in the spotlight over at the There She Goes blog, I posted today's TREND, which for me is kinda obvious....RIBBON, duh!! I also included spiral clips in an attempt to get everyone to BELIEVE that they are the coolest thing ever, but we will see if my obsession catches on, LOL!! Me personally? I can barely finish a card without it having to have ribbon and a spiral clip or two attached to it!! I am pretty partial to my brads as well, but I can live without them...ribbon, I just can't!!
For my card, I used one of the flowers from Bloom and stamped it on an MFT Perfect Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black. I then colored it in with my Copics and layered it with Pink Pirouette, Bravo Burgundy and Mellow Moss. My DP is from the retired Parisian Summer DSP from SU. All my ribbons on the clips are from SU, but my pink is from May Arts...it is so YUMMY!! I added a bunch of piercing and SU brads and it was done!!

That is it for me now, thanks for stopping by!! Don't forget to play along with my Monochromatic challenge from Monday at the TSG blog!! You will be entered to win a $5 Gift Certificate from There She Goes!! WAHOO!!

MFT Blog Hop Recap!!

Hey everyone and welcome to another My Favorite Things Release Blog Hop!! This month's hop started with Kim, so if you are here, and you haven't been there, better go there now to get started!! If you are here now, you should be coming from the SUPAH talented, Amy's blog!! I am the end of the hop this month, so on top of my projects that I have to share with you, you will find all the need to know info about this month's release and special promotions at the bottom of my post!! As always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask!!
My first project is with the SUPAH cute new Sweetie Pie Flopsey. I stamped Flopsey on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored him in with my Copics. The pie and hat were stamped separately and the pie was popped up. I used Ruby Red and Baja Breeze cardstock from SU, and Spring Moss from PTI for my card. The DP is from the Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl line...one of my personal faves!! I used the SU modern label punch for my sentiment and the ribbons are from SU and PTI. My sketch is Jen's SFYTT from a week or two ago.
For my next card, I used the ADORABLE new Who's That Girl set, Santa Baby. I stamped my main image on an MFT perfect panel and then colored it with my Copics. I then added Liquid Applique to Santa's beard and cuffs to make them fluffy. The candy cane is part of the set and was colored and cut out separately. All my ribbons are from SU, as well as the brads. I used Riding Hood Red, Mellow Moss and Bashful Blue Cardstock and my DP is from Deja Views. I used the MFT 100th sketch for my layout as well.

MFTeaser- Garden Of Joy

Hello everyone, Happy Tuesday!! I know I have mentioned it before, but due to my new life situation, my stamping time has been suffering. It's not always that I don't have the time, because more often than not, I do, it's that I just don't know where to start and I get overwhelmed. Today, I KNEW I had to stamp(and to be truthful, I have a TON more to do), so I decided to start with today's SCS color challenge!! Today's challenge was to use Mellow Moss, White and Kraft or some Taupe-ish color. I chose to use Creamy Carmel. I am getting low on Kraft paper and now that I am no longer an SU demo, it is harder for me to replenish my stock, if ya know what I mean!! Today I also have a teaser of the new My Favorite Things set, Garden of Joy, which is being released tomorrow night!!
I started by stamping my main image on an MFT Perfect Panel. It was then colored with my Copics and layered with the challenge colors. I also added some Crystal Effects to the handle to make it shiny. The DP is from one of the SU Prints Packs, and all my ribbons(except the white) and brads are from SU. The white is from May Arts, and my spiral clips are from Joanne's. My card is 4x8, for anyone that is wondering!!
Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to check out the MFT blog for all the happenings around MFT, and trust me, there are LOTS!! Tonight's Blog Hop starts at 9pm CST, so don't forget to come back and see what goodies I will have for you then!!

Have a great day!!

Monochromatic With There She Goes!!

It is my week as the featured Trendsetter on the There She Goes blog and I am THRILLED!! My challenge for you today is to make a monochromatic card. Basically, you can use neutrals and any one color family, me being me, I chose purple!!
For my card, I also used this week's Sketch For You To Try and also the Crazy For Challenges challenge to use stitching of some sort. I chose Rich Razzleberry and Orchid Opulence so that I could use my current favorite paper, Cottage Wall from SU. I stamped the cup from my Let's Get Together set on Gina K. White and a piece of DP and cut them both out. I then paper pieced the base of the cup. The coffee sleeve was then stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel and cut out. I then added the sentiment and colored it in with my Copics. The ribbons are from SU, and the brads and clips are from Hobby Lobby. I used a white gel pen for my faux stitching and it was done!!

Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the There She Goes blog for all the details!!

More Verve, Yet Again!

So I said I was gonna get all the Viva La Verve challenges done for September, but never did...boo!! I do however have my cards from two of the challenges that I have never posted(these were part of the group of cards I made while away stamping with my girls). The first was for the third challenge which was this awesome sketch with a twist of making the card for your girlfriends!! Nothing says girl to me like an AWESOME pair of heels!!

I used this gorgeous Express Yourself set. It was paired with my Cottage Wall DSP, Orchid Opulence, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry. All my ribbons are from SU, and so are my brads. The spiral clips are from Joanne's.

For my next card, I used the GORGEOUS Up, Up and Away set! It was for the fourth challenge, to use the provided sketch and Black and White. Isn't this kinda awesome...I was proud, lol! The DP is from SU as well as the cardstock(except the image panel which is an MFT panel). I used my Copics to color it and all my accessories came from SU, except the spiral clip.

Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Boo Crew

Hey everyone!! Tonight I have the CUTEST new thing from My Favorite Things to show you!! I don't know if you have ever heard of being BOO'ed, but it is SUPER FUN!! Basically, you make up a Halloween themed bucket then take it to a neighbors and leave it at their door. Then, they have officially been BOO'ed!! The idea is for them to then do the same for another neighbor and pass it on. It is such a neat thing to do for your friends and neighbors!! To help you with your BOO bucket, Kim and all the talented people at MFT have developed the BOO Crew Digi Kit!! It is our first OFFICIAL Digi Image along with 9 other images being released today!! The boo crew is a new image, the other 9 images are some of our Who’s That Girl? favorites, available as single digi images. Here is some more info taken directly from the MFT ladies blog!! Why rewrite perfections!!

"Check the link that says DIGI Stamps in the MFT Store!

We will ALWAYS offer physical stamps as our first priority. A girl needs something to hold on to for goodness sakes!

Since this is our last WUW (we will reveal a Brand Spankin’ New MFT next Wednesday, October 7th) we wanted to make the Hook-Up something awesome! Here’s the Scoop…

Spend $25 on ANY MFT Products and get a FREE LARGE Digi Kit with a value of $15.95! To take advantage of this special offer, add at least $25 in any MFT products to you cart, then add the large digi paper pack of your choice ($15.95 value). At checkout, enter the code DIGIWITHIT to receive your $15.95 discount."

So, now that all the business is out of the way, onto the details of my card!! I started by printing out my image on a piece of Gina K. White. I then colored it with my Copics after heat setting the ink. The edges were sponged with Summer Sun ink. I used my SU punches to make my tag, and added some googlie eyes-yes I am obsessed- to the sentiment. All my ribbons are from the MFT Halloween nest. I did some piercing, and my brads are from SU.
Well, that is it for me now!! I am hoping to get my bucket done soon, and will post it ASAP!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

More Verve!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days!! I am still trying to get used to being back at work and I had a wedding this weekend, so I have been busy busy busy!! I would say that I can't wait for things to slow down, but I kind of like having a life again...even if it mostly involves work, lol!! It is nice having a place to go and getting to interact with people on a daily basis!!

Anywho, this is a card that I made for the second Viva La Verve challenge from September. I only have one more to do and I REALLY want to get them all in before the deadline just to show I can!! I made this card during the weekend I spent with Mercy, Pam and Jessica. Mercy was super sweet and let me borrow the brand new Starstruck set from Verve. The challenge was to make a card that was smaller than normal, no bigger than 4x4. My card is exactly 4x4, and it is not only for the Verve challenge, but Mercy's sketch #39 from a few weeks ago. I stamped my image twice on an MFT Perfect Panel and colored it with my Copics. I then layered it with Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango. The DP is from the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP pack. My ribbon and brads are from SU and the spiral clip is from Joanne's.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by!!

I used SU punches for the sentiment, and my spiral clip is from Joanne's.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you all come up with for this sketch!! Here is a list of the other ladies that are a part of this fabulous group so you can go look at their awesome samples!!
