RCC22- Alter It...

Hey everyone, and welcome to this week's Ribbon Carousel Crew challenge!! I am this week's hostess....well, sorta. Quit laughing, Corinna :)

Have you ever thought of all the different things you can do with your spooled items? You can scrunch it, sew it, pucker it, fold it, make flowers and embellies with it! So this week, I want you to alter your spooled item for this week’s Ribbon Carousel Challenge (
RCC22).

This week we have the super fun Cosmo Cricket as our sponsor!

With their new Glubers, you can make big and small flowers and embellies in a jiff! Eric and Julie, owners of the immensely popular Cosmo Cricket, were kind enough to send the Carousel Crew Glubers to make their amazing creations this week!
For one lucky participant, not only will you get your own Glubers….but you’ll also receive the UPcycle Crafting Kit!

Your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings! *** Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything that comes on a spool). *** After you get done with your creation, be sure to come back to the Ribbon Carousel Blog and link it up!!

For my card tonight, I started by stamping the SUPER cute witch girl from the There She Goes set, Hauntingly Delightful. I used the World's Best Die from There She Goes for my sentiment, also from Hauntingly Delightful. The other die I used is the new Spider Web Die from TSG. My image was colored with Copics, and then layered with Orange Fizz and Black Licorice(MFT). I used some Echo Park Happy Halloween paper, as well. My ribbons are both from the Ribbon Carousel(sorry the black net is out of stock). I used the Orange and Black Plaid ribbon from this month's ribbon kit for my flower, but it is sold separately, as well. It was made with my Cosmo Cricket gluber, and when I was done rolling it, I put a black brad in the center. My other black ribbon is from MFT, and was attached with a spiral clip. My brads are from Michael's. I also stamped a spider from the new Bugs and Hisses set, and cut it out. I drew in my web.

For the inside, I used another sentiment from this set, and some more of my spiders!
My card is also for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, to make a Halloween Card!!!

Well, that is it for me for today! Be sure to head to the Ribbon Carousel blog to see what the other girls have created for tonight's challenge. Have a great day!

It'll Be Okay...

I don't know about you all, but that is my mantra these days. I have so much hope that it will all BE OKAY.....let's just hope that THAT proves to be enough. FINGERS CROSSED.

I have had a LOT going on, emotionally, involving my family...namely my cousin and her new baby, and I just haven't felt like stamping. She and her baby, Jonah, have occupied my thoughts until I am consumed with my worry and hope for them. Jonah was born with severe genetic issues, namely Marfans Syndrome(at least, that is what they think he has), which can be fatal in the first year of life. He has struggled with his breathing, and his heart, but my whole family has hope that he will be strong, and pull through all of this. My only wish right now is for Jonah to be healthy enough to survive without medical help, no matter what the road ahead has in store for him. We are all aware of the struggles he will have, and the problems that can occur, but if he can just pull through this, here and now, we will ALL make sure he gets through the rest. My family, when faced with trials, is the best at pulling together and getting what has to be done, DONE. Let's just hope we are given the opportunity to prove our strength and perseverance as a whole. I am sure, with all my heart, that we are a force to be reckoned with, and we WILL have this chance to prove ourselves. I love you Casie and Jonah, always.

Wow, sorry, I am VERY emotional right now, can you tell.

Because of everything that has been going on, I missed Forgotten Stamp Friday(Saturday...errr, kinda Sunday), but here I am, playing along now!!

If you aren't familiar with this challenge, it is a personal challenge that I have posed to myself to make me use some of my un-inked, unused, and neglected stamps. The only rule is that it has to have been un-inked or owned for 6 months. Digi images count, as well...we tend to collect those, and then never use them, too! If you decide to play along, just be sure to enter your name in the Mr. Linky, and when uploading to an online gallery, use the keyword..FSF34

So, here is my card. I chose to use the Pure Innocence My Umbrella set. It makes me think of the Mandy Moore version of Rhianna's Umbrella. DEFINITELY worth a listen. I stamped my girl on X- Press It blending card, and then colored her hair and skin with my Copics. I then paper pieced coat, boots, and umbrella with some MME Six by Six Everyday Fair paper. She was layered with Red Hot, Lemon Drop, and Fossil card stock, all from MFT. I then used more of the same paper, and some Sweet Tooth card stock for my white. My ribbon is part of the MFT red collection. My corduroy buttons were from MFT, and my red button is an old MFT button. I used Linen Thread in those. My DP was cut out with the Bracket Edge Die-namics, and my Dainty Dots Die-namics border was cut out of Fossil. I then used the First Place Award Ribbon for my sentiment(both inside and out).

For the inside, I used more of the same papers, and Die-namics, like I stated above. The sentiment is from another Pure Innocence set, Boy and Dog Snow Wonderful.

Well, that is it for me for now. If you decide to use one of your forgotten stamps, be sure to link it up in the comments so I can see it! Thanks so much for stopping by, and listening to my rant. HUGS and LOVE to all of you!

MFTWSC38- Family

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! Since it is Wednesday, it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things!!

For my card tonight, I used the Clearly Sentimental About Family set. With everything that is going on with my family, it just seemed appropriate. I stamped it with Memento Rich Cocoa, and then layered it with Hot Fudge, Spearmint, and Orange Fizz. My paper is from the MME Stella&Rose Mabel pack. I used Michael's brads, a Creative Express spiral clip, and some GORGEOUS seam binding from The Ribbon Carousel. My scallops were made with the Simply Scalloped Medium Die-namics.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and another sentiment from this set.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a full list of designers participating in today's sketch!!

For my card tonight, I gotta say, I had a little bit of fun. I needed the distraction this evening, as my family is going through some really tough times. Yes, I am a last minute, down to the wire, cut it close with every post, stamper. Anywho, I stamped all my pumpkins( 4 different ones) on X-Press It blending card, and then colored them with my Copics. I then cut them all out. My bat, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then cut out as well. I used a T1 Copic to give him a little bit of shadow. I then layered my pumpkins on a white oval, cut out with Nesties, and created my scene-ish. The image was then layered with Orange Fizz, Sour Apple, and Black Licorice card stock from MFT. I used Echo Park Happy Halloween paper...still my favorite. The solid black ribbon is from MFT's Black Collection, the Black Net ribbon comes from the Ribbon Carousel. I used the SUPER CUTE...OMG...YAAAAAYYYY...Spider Web Die , and adhered it using some Michael's brads. I stamped my sentiment at the top, and DONE.
