God Bless America!!

With the Independence Day holiday coming up, I was feeling VERY patriotic tonight, so I decided to use the super cute Lady Liberty Sophia for my post today. She is from Paper Pretties. I stamped her on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored her in with my Copics. She was then cut out and embossed using my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. I did some piercing around the scallops as well. The ribbons and brads are all from SU. The DP is from one of the Level One Hostess Paper Packs from SU as well. The colors on this card are Real Red, and SHOCKINGLY Brilliant Blue. I used my Round Tab punch to make the sentiment panel at the bottom.
That is it for me now, be sure to check out the Paper Clip to see all the Prettie happenings this week!! Have a good day, thanks for stopping by!!

My Favorite Challenges

It is time for this week's My Favorite Challenge and My Favorite Sketch Challenge. This week's Sketch was drawn up by the fabulous Frances. For her sketch, I used my new Puttin on The Glitz stamp set. I started by stamping my girl on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored her in with my Copic markers. The DP is from the Pink Flamingo DSP and the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. I used Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise as my colors. The circles were punched out using my SU circle punches, and the sentiment was added with my Oval Punches. I added some SU Satin ribbon to the center as well. The white brads are also SU.
For this week's My Favorite Challenge, Joanne challenged everyone to go Green!! The challenge was to reuse something that you would normally throw away or something that was just lying around your house. I used a dry erase board that one of the local banks was handing out a the Father's Day Car Show. It was ready to hang with magnets on the back, so I decided to cover the front with some Pink Flamingo DSP. I then added a panel for my countdown circles. Basically, it is a countdown to vacation calendar. The circles are attached with reposistionable tape so that they can be taken off and on. For each day that passes leading up to your vacation, one of the circles can be taken down....for instance, my vacation starts on the 25th of July, so I put on enough circles leading up to the 25th. Each day, starting with today, I will take down a circle until there are no more. Then it will be time for VACATION!! I personally think this will be a great way to get excited about your vacation, especially if you have kids...they will LOVE taking down a circle everyday, and it also saves you having to answer the question-Is it time yet?? The VACATION sentiment is part of the set, but I used my Computer to make the numbers and the Countdown To. I stamped the umbrella on some DSP and cut it out, and my sunbathing girl on an MFT perfect panel and colored her with my Copics and then cut her out. I plan on laminating the base and the little cirlces for future use. That way, I can use the nifty dry erase marker that came preattached to it too!!
Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to check out the MFT forum for more info on this week's challenges!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Prettie Wednesday- Masking

Two weeks ago, my fellow Prettie Girl-Charmaine, challenged the rest of the Pretties(and all of you), to make a card using the masking technique. I hate to admit it out loud, but I am way to lazy of a stamper to mask anything...in fact, I hate to even do it. Since I whine and cry about just about every challenge that Charmaine throws at us(I still luv ya), I decided to NOT whine about this one and to just do it!! For my card, I used the August Stamp of the Month, Story Time. She is part of the Stamp of the Month Club at Paper Pretties. Basically, the SOTMC is a hassle free subscription that has a SUPAH cute Sophia arriving at your door once a month. This stamp will be sent out sometime in August, so make sure you get signed up before July 31st so that she can be your first SOTM!! For my technique, I cut out an extra Sophia and laid her over the original one I had colored. I then stamped the flowers from my Rainy Day Friends set, and colored in the sky, grass, and the flowers. My DP is from the Walk In the Park DSP pack. I paired it with Regal Rose, So Saffron, and Kiwi Kiss Cardstock. The flower is one that my fellow Prettie, Danielle sent to me. I used a large SU silver brad in the middle. My sentiment was punched out with the Word Window punch. All my ribbons are from SU, and the brads are from Creative Express.

Well, that is it for me now, be sure to blurf around and see what the other girls have created for your viewing pleasure!! Have a good one!!

Welcome to the Hop!!

Hello and welcome again to another My Favorite Things Release Party Blog Hop!! As always, the hop started at our FABULOUS leader's blog, so if you haven't been there, go to Kim's Blog to get started. If you are back, you should have come from the VERY talented, Jody Morrow's blog!!

Before I get to my projects, here are some details you may want to know!! First of all, the first 50 orders at the release tomorrow night will receive a Memento Dew Drop as a free gift. Also, the winner of the One Click Collection challenge will be announced at the release party, and I can't WAIT to see who won!! Be sure to be there for the release party chat so you can see who won along with me!! On Thursday, the new My Favorite Challenge and Sketch Challenge will be posted too, and you KNOW I love a good challenge!! The chat starts at 8pm EST, so be there or be square!

For today, I have two projects to share with you. The first uses the new Amanda Baird set, Puttin' On The Glitz. I started by stamping her on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored her in using my Copic markers. The cardstock colors are Regal Rose and Kiwi Kiss. I used some DP from the Walk in The Park DSP pack. The brads and ribbons are all from SU, as well as the circle punches used to make the sentiment panel. The Spiral clips are from Creative Express. I did a ton of piercing on this one as well, I know you aren't shocked.
For my next project I used the new Purrfect Treats. It is another label set that is part of our Perfect Packaging line. The DP I used is from the new Razzleberry Lemonade DSP pack from SU. I used Pumpkin Pie, Taken With Teal, and Rich Razzleberry CS. The ribbons I used are from SU. The kitty was stamped and colored separately and then added on. I filled the jar with little toy mice I found at Walmart for around $2. I don't know if cat's are like how my old dog used to be, but if you give them all the toys, they lose all the toys. I thought this would be a super cute way to store the extras for when you need them!!
Well, that is it for me for now. It is time to continue on your way, so the next stop on the hop is Frances' Blog. I am sure she has something FABULOUS for you!! Thanks for stopping by!! Have fun!!

A VERY Difficult SFYTT!!

When I saw this weekends Sketch For You To Try on Jen's Blog, I was a little skeerrred. Seriously, she comes up with AMAZING sketches, but this one had me stumped. Then I finally got it....and boy do I LOVE this card now!! I decided to use my friend Jessica's(pinkgirl76) new set from The Greeting Farm. I showed a card using it on here yesterday, but since she is my girl and I do LOVE this set, I decided to use it again!! Here is some more info about this set and how you can win it!!
Want to WIN this set? Leave a comment on Jessica's blog telling her what you like best about the set or what the first thing that came to your mind was when you saw it! She'd love to hear from you!

Want another chance to win? Multiple entries will be accepted for this Blog Candy contest! All you have to do is post to your own blog about Jessica's brand new set through The Greeting Farm, come back to Jessica's blog and leave her another comment letting her know you did, and you'll get another entry into the contest!

There will be lots of ways to WIN THIS SET throughout the week, both on Jessica's blog and The Greeting Farm, so good luck and have a whimsical day!

Sounds good right??? I thought so too!! Okay, now for my card!! I started by stamping the butterflies from this set twice. I colored all four with my Copic markers. I then cut out two of them, and the other two I punched out using a 1 1/4in circle punch. I then layered them with Regal Rose for the pink one, Pumpkin Pie for the orange, and Chocolate Chip. To give the butterflies dimension, I took the two I cut out and glued them to the circles, but just in the center so the wings could move. The DP is from the SU Sweet Always pack and my ribbon is from SU. The brads are from Creative Express. I did a bunch of piercing and it was done!! Super cute huh!! Don't you love that cute little butterfly and the GORGEOUS sentiment, I sure do!!
Well, that is it for me now, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

MFTeaser-Catch Some Rays

Here is a card I made using the new Catch Some Rays set being released by My Favorite Things tomorrow night at 10:00 EST. For my card, I started by stamping my Who's That Girl image on an MFT perfect panel. I then colored it in with my Copics. The drink was stamped and cut out separately. I also added some Crystal Effects to make it shiny. For her bathing suit, I paper pieced it with some of the MFT Summer DP. Speaking of Paper Piecing, that is this week's My Favorite Challenge, which you STILL have time to enter, so be sure to get your entry in by 10AMEST to qualify. Just upload it to the SCS gallery using the keyword MFTMFC5. My red ribbon is from the Summer Ribbon Nest. The white is from SU. As always, the brads and spiral clips are all from Creative Express. They were purchased at Hobby Lobby. I did a ton of piercing on this one as well. The colors of CS I used are Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, and Real Red.
Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to come back tonight for the MFT Blog hop!! Hope to see you then!! And don't forget, you still have time to enter the One Click Collection challenge...the deadline is tonight at 10pm EST!! Good luck!!

WOOT WOOT!!

A few weeks ago my friend Jessica(pinkgirl76), asked me if I would be willing to work with her VERY FIRST stamp set that she designed for The Greeting Farm. Of course, you KNOW I had to say yes!! I am THRILLED for her, and more than that, I am IN LOVE with this set!! It is a sentiment set that is FULL of fabulous sayings, all occasion sentiments, and the cutest little butterflies!! Seriously, the fonts are TO DIE FOR!! Here is some INFO!!

Want to WIN this set? Leave a comment on Jessica's blog telling her what you like best about the set or what the first thing that came to your mind was when you saw it! She'd love to hear from you!

Okay, now onto my card!! I started by using today's Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. I used some Green Tea DSP, and paired it with Certainly Celery, Old Olive, and Baja Breeze. The brads and spiral clip are from Creative Express and the Oval punches and ribbon are from SU. The butterflies were die cut using my Cuttlebug and Beautiful Butterflies die from SU. I stamped the sentiment from Jessica's new set with Memento Tuxedo Black on Gina K. White. I did a bunch of piercing and it was done!! Isn't that font GORGEOUS!!
Well, that is it for me now, come back tomorrow when I will have another card using this set!! Thanks and have a great day!

Sniff Sniff!!

Today is my last official Little Paper Shop challenge as their guest designer, and I gotta say, I am gonna MISS it!! I will still probably play along, but like all my OTHER challenges, I will almost always be late...sad but true!! For this week's challenge, we have this super cute sketch, but there was a twist. The twist was that you had to use a cupcake image for your sketch card. I decided to use my Katie Cupcake image for mine. I am a little mad at myself though, I cut it out too small for my taste, but it still works. I wasn't about to redo all the paper piecing though, LOL!! For my image, I stamped it on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored it in with my Copics. The base of the cupcake, her dress, and all the bows were paper pieced with some Walk in The Park DSP. I then cut it, and it's layers out with my Oval Nesties and Cuttlebug. The layers are So Saffron and Regal Rose. The brads are from the SU Rich Regals pack and the ribbons are both SU(the Saffron is from the SAB ribbon pack though). The spiral clips are from Creative Express.
Wanna play along? Just upload your creation using this sketch and your cupcake image to whatever gallery you chose using the keyword LPSC22. Then, be sure to go to the LPS Blog and leave a comment!! The winner will be chosen next Monday and will receive this Katie Cupcake set for free!!
That is it for me now, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

MFTeaser-Puppy Chow

Hello everyone, it is time for another My Favorite Things release, and I am SUPER excited about this month's release...I know, I always say that, but I truly am!! For today's project, I used the new Puppy Chow set. It is another label set that will TOTALLY change the way you gift!! This set was made to go along with the new jars that MFT sells, but for my project, I used it for something completely different. In fact, I used it to make a little treat bag. The bag is a diecut that I got from Jody Morrow. Here is a link to her store where she has a TON of different AMAZING diecuts for sale!! I used the puppy and paw print stamps to decorate the package. The inside has a small clear bag full of Little Beggin Strips. I then closed it using some MFT Perfect Plaid ribbon. The card is a 3x3 card using the same set. I stamped the doggie and colored it in with my Copics markers. I used more of the ribbon, and some Delicate Dots DSP. The brads are from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts. Isn't this CUTE??
Well that is it for me now, be sure to check out the MFT member forum for all the details about the release, to see this month's Tips and Tricks, and find out how you can enter to win the entire One Click Collection(which is the ENTIRE release)!! There is also still time to enter both the My Favorite Challenge and the MFT Sketch Challenge this week!!

That is it for me now, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
