FS124 CASEing Christy

Good morning everyone, and Happy Father's Day!! I hope you are all having a wonderful day!! I got up this morning and decided to play in the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS. Today's FS is Christy S. She has a wonderful gallery and a super fun blog. I chose this card of her's to CASE and I changed the image, although I left it a truck, the colors, used DP instead of solid color blocks, and added layers and piercing. I used my Classic Pickups set from SU. I paired it with some Prestwick DSP and Brocade Blue and Garden Green CS. The Ribbon is also from SU. The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored it with my Copic markers. I am giving this card to my Grandpa today for Father's Day.
This is the first SUO card I have done in AGES and I have MISSED my SU stamps dearly!! I keep wishing my life will go back to normal soon, and I hope that it does...until then I will do the best I can to show love to all my stamps!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Have A Happy Day

Here is a card I made for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge and for this past Monday's Mojo Monday sketch. When I saw these shoes on the Bugaloo site, I automatically thought of my Happy Day Set from There She Goes. I started by stamping my tree on a piece of Gina K. white paper and also on some Summer Picnic DSP. I paper pieced the top of the tree and then colored the rest of the image with my Copics. I added the bird and music notes the same way. I then layered it with Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip card stock. All my ribbons are from SU, and all the DP's are from there as well. The button is part of the Latte Button collection and the sentiment was punched out using SU punches.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Celebrate MFT Day!!

Since today is the 20th, it is Celebrating MFT Day!! If you aren't familiar with it, it is just a day that we like to use to celebrate our MFT stamps!! It is always the 20th of the month, and this month's theme was to use our Stephanie Fizer stamps. For my card, I wanted to use the super cute Hooga Booga stamp set. I made this card as a Father's Day card for my Dad. Now, I know I said that the card I made the other day was his card, but he came in my stamp room and saw it, so I had to make him a new one!! I stamped my little monster from Hooga Booga on an MFT Perfect Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored it in with my Copics. It was cut out and layered with Bashful Blue, So Saffron and Riding Hood Red. I used my Cuttlebug, Standard Circles and Petite Scalloped Circles to cut out the layers. The DP is from the Washington Apple pack. My ribbon is all from SU,as well as the brads. The Spiral Clip is from Creative Express. The hearts were stamped with Riding Hood Red and then highlighted with my Copic markers. My sketch is this Friday's Weekend Sketch Challenge. Well, that is it for me now, thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Prettie Late...but I am HERE!!

I am running VERY late with my post today, but like I always say...better late than never!! My card today was made for Taylor's Cupcake Sketch from today. I used my Bugs and Fishes stamp set from Paper Pretties. I just love this cute little Wade E. Bug, don't you?? He was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on an MFT Perfect Panel. I colored it in with my Copics, and then layered it with Real Red, Old Olive, and Bashful Blue. The DSP is from the Summer Picnic Pack from SU. I followed the sketch pretty close, but I did add the sentiment panel. All my ribbons and brads are from SU, and the spiral clip is from Creative Express. I finished my card off by doing a little bit of piercing.
Well, that is it for me now, thanks for stopping by and have a great day/night!!

Prettie Wednesday- Red, Black, and White

So, I am TOTALLY late posting my Prettie Wednesday card, but I am in a funk this week and am having a hard time getting out of it. I am working this week at the Post Office in the town I used to live in when I was married...between getting less sleep and the emotional attachment, I am kind of a mess...that and I miss my boy so much!! Unfortunately for my Mom, who is taking care of him this week, he is not feeling well...poor baby!! Anyway, back to my card!! Two weeks ago, Frances challenged us to make a card using Red, Black and White. I decided, since I am woefully behind, that I would make a Father's Day card for my Dad. Since I know he won't see it before Sunday, it is definitely safe to post. I am pretty certain he isn't really a golfer, but I still think he will like it!! I started by stamping my Luke image from the Paper Pretties set, Right On Par, on an MFT Perfect Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored it in with my Copics and paper pieced the shirt with some Real Red DSP. I used more of the DSP on the belly band and added some Real Red striped ribbon and Black Gingham ribbon. The brads are from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts.
Well, that is it for me now, thanks for stopping by and I am SO sorry I was late!!

The DP is from the Kraft and Chocolate Chip Patterns packs. They are also the colors of my cardstock. All my ribbons and punches are from SU, and my brads and clips are from Creative Express. For the layout, I used a Mojo Monday sketch.
My next card uses the super cute new Rainy Day Friend set. It was made using Jen's SFYTT from this past Saturday. I used some Delicate Dots DSP, and paired it with Bashful Blue, So Saffron and Certainly Celery cardstock. She and her umbrella were cut out and added on after being paper pieced and colored with Copics(both stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel). I used some SU ribbons, and the clips and brads are from Creative Express. I used a white gel pen to highlight the frogs eyes, and her buttons.

These Boots Were Made For Splashing!!

Hey everyone, hope you are having a FABULOUS day!! I am in a huge hurry since I couldn't get into my blog since last night for some reason, so I am going to make this a super short post and maybe edit it tonight!! Today I have a MFTeaser of the new Rainy Day Friend set from My Favorite Things!! It will be released at 12EST on Wednesday, June 17th along with my new FAVORITE Flopsey!! Tonight at 10pmEST, we will be having our midmonth blog hop, so you won't want to miss out on all that fun either!!

My card today was made using Taylor's Cupcake Sketch from this past weekend. I also think it was her birthday, same day as Jared's in fact, so Happy Birthday Taylor!! I stamped my main image and umbrella on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored it in with my Copics. The umbrella was cut out seperately, I even paper pieced the top and added some highlights with my Copics. The DP is from the Pink Pirouette DSP and the Bella Rose pack. My buttons are all from SU, and so are my ribbons. I did a ton of piercing, and added my sentiment to the bottom, which deviated from the sketch, but only a little. Well, that post wasn't short, lol!! I better get to work, I am subbing at the Post Office this whole week and am already having Jared withdrawals!! WAHHH!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! See you back here tonight for the hop!!

Prettie Friday...and Jared's Birthday!!

Today is my day to post a Paper Pretties card. Since you know I love a good sketch challenge, I decided to do this weeks Prettie weekly challenge sketch. This weeks challenge can be found at the Paper Pretties Forum or click here. I decided to use my Liberty Sophia. I colored her in using my Copic markers, and then layered her with Bashful Blue and Real Red. I decided to use some Summer Picnic...I thought the Apples were kinda symbolic, kwim? My ribbons are both from SU, and the brads and clips are from Creative Express. The scallops at the bottom were done with my SU scalloped edge punch, and then I used a hole punch to make the holes. I used SU punches for the sentiment panel and did a ton of piercing!! If you are interested in playing along, be sure to check out the thread for more details.

For those of you that come here for Jared updates, today is his first birthday!! I cannot believe it!! It really feels like only yesterday that he made his entrance into the world and I thank God everyday for blessing us with him. I know I am a TAD attached to him, since I see him a TON, but seriously...I think I love him more than my stamps, lol!! This was a picture of him last night taking a bath before bedtime. I was playing with his hair while his mom took pictures...too funny!! I used to do this, and still do, with my nieces, but their hair is pretty long so you can't get a full on mohawk...hehe. He has his one year check up today, so we will try to get a full length picture of him while we are there...I can't wait to see how much he has grown!!

That is it for me today, thanks and have a great one!!
