Hey everyone, and welcome to night four of this month's new release teasers from My Favorite Things!! Tonight we have three sets for you: Vertical Greetings, Ring Me, and Finishing Flourishes.
Before we get to my card, here are the important details!!
Here are the details about the upcoming release on February 7th at 10 PM EST:

For my card tonight, I started by using the new Ring Me Die-namics and cut out three: one with Melon Mambo, Orange Fizz, and Sour Apple. I then used different pieces of them to make my super colorful and FUN phone! I stamped the dial numbers on Sweet Tooth, and then lined them up to make my phone. I used Honeydew Twine from the Ribbon Carousel for my phone cord. I used the same card stock colors for all my layers, and then paired it with some Oh La La for Her paper from My Mind's Eye. My other ribbon is a mystery to me...it was in my drawer, and it's fabulous. LOL!! The only other supplies I used on my card were brads from Michael's, a spiral clip from Creative Express, and the Bracket Tab Die-namics for my sentiment.
For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and another sentiment from this set.

ReplyDeleteHow totally cute is that phone - hmmm...most people won't know what that is!!! I had my students ask me when we were in the museum what that was - it was a rotary phone, one commented, "that would be to heavy to carry!"

Jessie this phone is SO like the ones I BEGGED for to have in my room (not that I HAD a phone in my room) when I was in high school, Neon was HUGE and they had LIGHT UP PHONES in NEON!!! BEGGED AND BEGGED... Dad told me NO!!! :( Yes I pouted... gee seems I still am... Oh I LOVE this card, it TOTALLY flashed me back to something I had forgotten!!! LONG LIVE THE 80's!!!!! <3

ReplyDeleteHi Jessie! Is there a site or link where we can learn the dimensions of each layer to recreate your cards? I'm new to card making and I love the layered panels you use, but I"m unsure about how to measure them out perfectly like you make them. HELP!
