So, last night was the Paper Pretties release party, and what a PARTIE it was!!! We had so much fun chatting, stamping, and shopping!! We also announced the winner of the Paper Pretties Cutie Pie contest...so congrats to my pal Stephanie Hargis!! She is TRULY a Cutie Pie, and an awesome stamper to boot!! Be sure to swing by her blog and leave her a little love!!
Also, our Prettie Pages girl, Colleen, posted her very first scrapbook challenge, so be sure to check it out and play along....there is a prize people!!
My first card today is from one of the release party challenges from last night. One of the challenges was issued by Charmaine, and it was to make a black and white card with a pop of one color. Some people took her LITERALLY, while others(ME) ASSUMED that you could color with other colors. I believe I saw the word cheater flying around...but give me a minute to plead my case. LOL!!!If I had used ONLY the challenge colors...she would have looked very Gothic, and I HAVE NO problem with the Gothic look,BUT I don't think any Gothic person would be caught dead in a fuzzy bathrobe and bunny slippers. Right? RIGHT!!!hehehehe
So, I colored my Sophia with my SU markers and an aqua painter. I layered her with Basic Black and Pretty in Pink. The DP is from the SU Prints Pack. I used my SU scallop punch to make the black layer and then added some black gingham, pink taffeta and white grosgrain. I then pierced a border around the scallops and main image. That is it for me, I am headed out for a wedding...thanks for stopping by!
