Namaste`

I am gonna be honest with you, I have no idea what that word means, but it sounds super peaceful to me. Say it out loud a few times, don't you feel better now??LOL!! Anyway, I made this card last night for the My Favorite Things sketch challenge over on SCS but once I was done I was too tired to post it!! Cindy Haffner hosts this challenge, and always comes up with the most fabulous sketches!! I altered mine a little, because I made my main panel too wide, so I made it a semi-tent card, we'll call it a pup tent(you know, one of those one man ones). LOL!! I stamped the main image from Serenity Now in Black Stazon three times, one on each side of that super cute Cutie Pie paper from SU and once on Whisper White. I paper pieced her outfit and the wallpaper and colored the rest with markers. I paper pierced around the whole main image panel and then added some brads on either side on the main card. I am sure I am gonna get some comments about what Namaste` means, and that would be great, that way I don't have to wonder all day what it means!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!!
stamps-Serenity Now by MFT
ink- Black Stazon
paper-Not Quite Navy, Rose Red, Whisper White, and Cutie Pie DSP

  2. LOL - so I always say this at the end of yoga and for the longest time I thought it meant I'm at peace or peace be with you or something like that. Recently I've heard that it literally means I bow to you - sort a way to show respect to your instructor...

Anyway, I think you card is awesome! Lovely color combo and love all the extras

  3. Gorgeous card.
While Namaste does literaly mean I bow to you and is used as a way of showing respect to one's instructor in yoga, it's also used in other ways. I have a friend who is wiccan and uses this word as a way of signing all her emails and text messages - to wiccans it means 'The Divinity within me perceives and adores the Divinity within you' - which is kinda nice really.

  8. I love this card and paper piecing with Cutie Pie dp. It's funny how many meanings - similar but different for Namaste there are. I have a new yoga exercise tape and the instructor said "The light in me, recognizes the light in you" was the meaning.
