I decided to make another card for today's color challenge over on SCS. I was in such a hurry to get to my Mom's to help her pack today, that I didn't put my all into the first one. I loved the coloring on it, and I very proud of myself for doing it, but not the rest of it. I got a lot of comments saying that they never would have thought to put that sentiment with it, but every time I see it, I always think of it as a pick me up, if you know what I mean. I would give this to anyone that I thought was having a bad day, or down in the dumps, and I think that that sentiment would be perfect. Anyway, I started out for my Mom's today, and to go by the accountants(I am the treasurer for my village, STOP!! don't be impressed, there are only 52 people in my village!!!) to pick up the revised forms for the village, and I got a phone call. It was the representative from the Signature Home Styles party I had just had. She was calling to tell me that my order would be delivered that day. Let me say this, I had an excellent party, got TONS of free stuff, and had lots of people order from me. I knew it was going to be a lot, so I wanted to be home to get it(honestly, I don't know how people that work handle getting deliveries!!). As I had posted earlier, I was on my way to help my Mom pack, she is moving this weekend, so I had to call her and tell her that I was sorry, but I would be there as soon as possible. So, after running my errands I came home and colored the image that is on this card. As soon as I got it done, the FedEx guy showed up, and I had to leave to go help pack, so it has been laying on my desk waiting

Jessie, this is gorgeous! I love those flowers, what super coloring, wowzer! This is an awesome card sketch too! The title looks wonderful! You totally don't want to see the debacle that resulted in my attempt at the color challenge today! Boy, I just couldn't get my head around this one! You obviously did not have that problem, great work!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card. That image is wonderful. Where is your town in relation to Lincoln where I live? My husband and I drove home from the Ozarks yesterday in this horrid weather. Talk about white-knuckles.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. I saw you were from Southern Illinois. I have relatives all around Illinois. My dad grew up in Mendota, and my mom a very small town called metamora and ohio, ILL. I have aunts and uncles in Springfield too. Welcome to blog land.. Chris
ReplyDeleteWonderful! This looks like a painting! Great job on the coloring! I find coloring with markers can be quite tricky! Great card!
