Cuteness Alert!!

So, if I haven't mentioned it before, Paper Pretties is in the process of switching from clear to rubber stamps. Due to this transition, as we get new images, they will be added to the store as they come in. Why am I telling you this? Well, this SUPAH CUTE Whiskers Sophia will be on sale in the Prettie Boutique starting tomorrow!! YAYYY! Isn't she adorable!! To color her in, I used my SU markers. Then I layered her with Rose Red, Basic Grey and Basic Black. The DP is from the SU Creepy Crawly Pack. I wanted to make sure the web was on the card, so I cut it from the top corner( so no, that isn't a stamp, although it would be cool). I added some yummy ribbon(all SU), white brads, piercing, and then added my sentiment panel. I just LOVE her!!
Don't forget to enter the Cutie Pie contest, you have until 8pmEST on September 30th. Just upload your card to the Paper Pretties gallery under Cutie Pie submissions to be considered. The winner will receive Whiskers, Howdy Girlfriend, and Falling For You Sophia.
Also, we are having our Stampin In Your Jammies party on Wednesday, October 1st. It will be held in the Paper Pretties forum starting at 7pmCST. We will have challenges, prizes, chatter and LOTS of fun!!

Weekend Sketch Challenge and the IC

ETA: I forgot that I used this photo from the IC to help get me inspired!! Great inspiration piece this week, you should totally check it out!!

Hi everyone!! Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start!! I was going to go to bed early, but here I am, stamping away!! Of course, I am not working on anything that I really NEED to get done, but, sometimes, you just have to stamp for yourself..kwim??!! I wanted to participate in Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge, so I decided that I would start there. I stamped my image from Pocket Silhouettes with Bravo Burgundy and Pink Pirouette on Sahara Sand CS. I cut it and it's layers out with my Classic Circle Nestabilities. I then added a some piercing, and the sentiment, which was punched out with my word window punch. The DP on this card is from the new Parisian Summer DSP. I LOVE the colors in this one, don't you?? I have to say, I am not a HUGE fan of Blah-vo Burgundy, but it really works here. I added some white taffeta and silver brads from SU. The large silver brads were a gift from my pal Jackie(strappystamper). The grosgrain ribbon is from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts. That is it for me now, my nieces are coming to stay the night tomorrow after I get done working at the PO , so wish me luck...I am gonna need it!!

Charmed...I'm Sure!

So, today's Ways to Use it challenge was to use a charm on your card. I honestly didn't think that I had any, so I wasn't going to play. While working on some samples for the next My Favorite Things release, I ran across these heart lock and key charms I got as a door prize at the last swap I went too...score!! I decided to make a card for my future SIL shower which is the 4th of October. They are getting married in November and are going with all Fall colors. I don't know about you, but I think this is perfect for a fall bride...IMHO, LOL!! I stamped the bride from She's All That with Chocolate Chip Craft Ink, which I then embossed with clear embossing powder. I used my Rectangle Nestabilities to cut it and the layers out. I added spiral clips with some gingham ribbon from Offray and chocolate satin from American Crafts. The rust ribbon is some I got from a share with Jody(texasjodylynn). I added some white brads from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts and then pierced a border around the card and the main image. That is it for me now!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Happy Fall

Isn't this birdhouse and little birdie so CUTE!! It is from the new Harvest Blessings Anna Wight set from Whipper Snapper. The sentiment is from her other new release Give Thanks. These sets were released on the 15th, so if you don't already have them, RUN don't walk, to the Whipper Snapper website and get them now!!!LOL!! They really are super cute, and the Give Thanks set has a ton of wonderful sentiments in it. I stamped the birdhouse on white card stock with Black Stazon and colored it in with my SU markers. The bird was stamped separately and cut out, only because I stamped it next the bird house as an afterthought, and it was crooked..DOH!! So I decided to pop him up after coloring and make some movement marks...so now he is shaking a tail feather.....hehehe!! Anyway, I STILL have no clue where this paper came from, but I do love the beautiful colors in it. I layered it with Old Olive, Bravo Burgundy and Pumpkin Pie. I used some wide Burgundy grosgrain with some pumpkin ribbon on top of it, and then added my sentiment with a silver brad. I decided to use several of the word window punched tags so that it would give it some color. A little paper piecing, some more silver brads and it was done!! That is it for me now, unless by some miracle my nephew actually allows me to do something besides hold and feed him today!! Wish me luck!!

Prettie Wednesday-Monochromatic

So, here lately, especially since I made a permanent picture area, I haven't been all that good about cleaning up my work space(if anyone has seen the lid to my aqua painter, could you let me know). I used to have to clean between every card that I made, but got a second ott light, and since then, I have been stamping in a 6x6 space with junk piled up around me!! I finally cleaned it up this morning but I made this card last night before I did.....why am I telling you this?? Well, I used the stuff that was still out on my desk to make it!!
This is Angel Wings Sophia, and she is next months Stamp of the Month over at Paper Pretties. You have until September 30th at midnight to get signed up for the Paper Pretties Stamp of The Month Club. In my opinion, this is the BEST way to get your collection of Pretties started if you haven't already!! Also, we are going to be having our monthly Stamping in Your Jammies party on October 1st at 7pmCST. There will be the usual challenges every hour, friendly chatter, and loads of fun. We sure hope you will join us and play along!! ALSO, this months Cutie Pie contest has started, and you have until the 30th of September to enter it too. Just upload your creation to the Paper Pretties gallery under Cutie Pie submissions to be entered!!

Anyway, LOL, I used an aqua painter and re inker to color my Sophia in for today. Two weeks ago, Jana, challenged us to do a monochromatic card, so since it was still out, I used Kiwi Kiss for mine. The top panel was run through my Cuttlebug with the textile folder and the bottom is some Bella Rose DSP. I added some ribbon, brads, spiral clips, you know....and it was done! This card is on it's way today to Charmaine, I sure hope she loves it. Be sure to play along, and if you do, leave us a link because we would love to see it!! This weeks challenger is Danielle, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us! Be sure to blurf around and see what the other Pretties have cooked up!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

An Upsy Daisy Sketch

So, I was up late working on my nephew's birth announcements, and I saw that the sketch challenge was posted.....yes, I was stalking it, in fact I was the first person to comment, sad but true. I decided that I would go ahead and try to play tonight, since tomorrow is Prettie Wednesday, and I LOVE my card for it( I will post it in the morning)!! I used my new Upsy Daisy set along with my Washington Apple DSP. The sentiment is from the SU Hostess set, Best Yet. I stamped the daisies in Riding Hood Red. There was a lot of piercing, silver brads, and three different ribbons, and it was pretty much done. This was a super simple card, and I don't know that I am thrilled with it, but I love the paper, the colors, and all the brads, so I am sure by morning I will love the card too. Now, I SERIOUSLY need to get to bed!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Breezy Vanilla Skies, Take 2

Okay, so here is the OTHER card that popped in my head when I saw this color combo( as I said before, a TOTAL rarity). I used my FAVORITE image from Paper Pretties, Simply Special. What I LOVE about this image is the fact that you can use it for just about any occasion, whether it is a birthday, sympathy, thinking of you, it just works...am I right!! Right now, all the Designer Paper is on sale for 50%off at Paper Pretties, so if you haven't checked THAT out, be sure to do so!! Anyway..I stamper the watering can twice, once on vanilla and once on my Bella Rose DP. I then cut out the can and used my re-inkers and an aqua painter to color the rest of the image. The flower was stamped separately too, colored, cut out, and glued on. I used my circle nesties to cut it out, and layered it with Kiwi and Baja Breeze. I realized I hadn't been using my organdy ribbon much lately, so I got out the vanilla organdy I have been hoarding for years, and tied a big yummy bow. You can just barely see my sentiment at the bottom. I swear to you all, I had both of these cards done in less than an hour...how awesome is that!!
That is it for me again, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Be sure to get your entries in for the Cutie Pie contest for Paper Pretties. All entries need to be uploaded to the Paper Pretties Cutie Pie contest gallery by 8pm September 30th. This months winner will receive THREE Sophia stamps, Howdy Girlfriend, Falling For You, and a never seen before Whiskers stamp...can't WAIT for that!! So, be sure to get your entries in....more details about our Jammies party and all the goings on at Paper Pretties tomorrow in my Prettie Wednesday post!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Breezy Vanilla Kisses, Part One

When I saw the color combo this morning, I KNEW I wanted to participate(by the way, I was TOTALLY stalking the challenge, I saw it as SOON as she put it up..sick, I know!!). How GORGEOUS is it!! I instantly had two cards pop in my mind...which rarely happens. I am going to feature the first one here, and then the other one in a post of its own. This first one used my Eastern Blooms SU set, which is one of my faves!! I stamped the branch twice with Kiwi Kiss and then pierced the edges. It is layered with Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze. I didn't MEAN to have a sentiment panel, but my sentiment went on crooked, so I had to adjust!! I use my oval punches and some vanilla brads from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts. The flower was stamped with Baja Breeze, cut out and then I used a bone folder to curve it. Then I used a build a brad with some yummy Bella Rose paper for the center of it. The long panel is some more Bella Rose DSP and it is layered with the BB. The rest is pretty simple, although now that it is together, I really wish I had embossed it. By the way, if you HAVEN'T purchased this yummy kiwi ribbon, DO IT NOW!! It is GORGEOUS!! I almost forgot to say that this fabulous sketch is Jen's Sketch For You To Try from this past Saturday...I just now finally got to it!!

Thanks for stopping by, I will be back with another one ASAP!!

Who's That Girl Monday- Time For the Bubbly

So, have you heard about what's going on in the MFT forum on SCS? Everyday there are different events, with Monday's being the Who's That Girl challenge. This weeks challenge was hosted by Toni(toners100), and the challenge was to use Time For the Bubbly, four brads, and one piece of ribbon. The main color has to be blue too!! WHAT?? Obviously they don't realize how ADDICTED to my brads and ribbon I am. It was REALLY hard to limit myself, but I did do it. I stamped my main image on watercolor paper and on some Not Quite Navy DP. I cut out just the wallpaper and paper pieced it. The rest of the image was colored with my SU markers, except for the mirror which was colored with a silver glitter pen. I also added some glitter to the bubbles and then covered the mirror and the bathtub with some crystal effects. The More Mustard DP on my card is from the SU hostess pack along with the Not Quite Navy that I used. I made my scallops with my SU scallop punch and pierced the edges. That is it for me now...back to stalking the color challenge thread!!LOL!! Be sure to check out the MFT member forum for all the details on our new themed days!! Also, don't forget to check out Carolyn's Blog Candy, it is awesome!!

You Go Girl!!

Today's Featured Stamper is Shannon(e3stamper), and what a stamper she is!! Not only is she a talented stamper, she is also a super sweetie who leaves the best comments. I chose this card of hers to CASE. I changed everything but the layout, but I didn't mean to this time. I forgot about the sentiment, so my paper was to dark and I had to add it as another panel. I tried my ribbon the way she had it, but it looked better like this, so I went with it. Plus, seriously, I HAD to add brads to it..SERIOUSLY(anyone else as EXCITED about the return of Greys Anatomy as I am??)!! This main image and sentiment are for my SUPAH CUTE new set, Harvest Blessings, from Whipper Snapper. They were just released a week ago and they are TO DIE FOR!! They were designed by the fabulous Anna Wight, who along with the owners of Whipper Snapper, asked me to be Featured Designer this month!! I can't tell you how excited I am to be working with them, and SweetMissDaisy herself, she is amazing!! I stamps Sally the Scarecrow(not officially her name, but I want to be sure that there is no confusion that she is a girl, see the dress) on white cardstock with Black Stazon ink. I then colored her in with my SU markers and layered her with some Really Rust, Bravo Burgandy, and Chocolate Chip paper. The paper is some from my ever growing stack of paper scraps that will soon take over my whole stamp area if I don't start to use them. With that said, I have no clue where it came from because it's a scrap, sorry!I added a bunch of piercing, copper brads, and some yummy wide stitched Chocolate Chip ribbon. The sentiment was stamped and then punched out with my SU oval punches.

Well, that is it for me now...I have about 70 baby announcements to make, and he isn't getting any younger!!LOL!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Don't forget to check out my last post to see how you can be entered to win the biggest blog candy giveaway ever(next post)!!
