A Patriotic Sketch(For You To Try)

Hey everyone, and happy Saturday, again!! This month, My Favorite Things is sponsoring the Sketch For You To Try, so Jen asked if some of us would like to play along...well, you know the answer was a big YES!! I am a LONG TIME fan of Jen and her sketches, so I always try to play along with her and her FABULOUS sketch crew.

For my card today, I also paired it with this week's Crazy 4 Challenges, challenge. Our challenge was to be inspired by the flag from our country, so of course...you can kinda see where I went with it!!

My image is the super cute Pure Innocence Lady Liberty set. I stamped her on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was then cut out, and popped up on a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock that was cut out with my Circle Die-namics. I used paper from both the Simple Stories Summer Fresh(red gingham), and the Fancy Pants Childish Things pad. I used Fossil(MFT), Night of Navy(SU), and Wild Cherry(MFT) card stock. My gingham piece was cut out with the Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics. To make my sentiment panel, I used three different Die-namcis: the Star Stax, Star Border, and Sentiment Strips. For embellishments, I used some old SU ribbon, and Michael's brads.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies. My sentiment was cut apart, and stamped on both the inside and outside of the card.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out both the Sketch For You To Try blog, AND the Crazy 4 Challenges blog to see who all is playing along this week with BOTH challenges!! Have a great weekend!!
