A Hopeful Teaser

These days it's almost impossible to find someone who hasn't been affected by Breast Cancer in SOME way...whether it's a friend, family member, or themselves, it's everywhere, and I for one am ready for it to go away! It took a person that was near and dear to my heart this past year, and seeing what her family is going through is almost too much to bare. When I saw this month's Have Hope set, I was instantly in love...I just wish it had been around when Amy was still alive.

Here are the details about the upcoming release:

  • You can attend the New Release Party on October 16 from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can WIN PRIZES!
  • The MFT release, including all new stamp sets and Die-namics, is on October 16 at 10 PM EST.  You'll find all the newest products HERE at release time.
  • The guest designer contest is going on now!  Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $200 in stamp sets and Die-namics.

For my card tonight, I used several different Die-namics to create my card tonight, paired with the MME Market Street paper pad. I used the Support Hope Die-namics for my bra, and used Hot Fudge and Limeade cardstock. I used a brad from Michael's to connect it all together, and then placed it on a my Layered Hearts Die-namics. The dies I used for my sentiment were the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics and the Sweet Stack Labels Die-namics. To accent my card, I also used some Hemp Cord, and the Fancy Flourish Die-namics in Limeade and Bubblegum.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Teaser's Day Four-Thankful Leaves

Here we are on night four of this month's My Favorite Things teasers, and I have a card set I made using the GORGEOUS new Thankful Leaves set.  Before we get to that,
Here are the details about the upcoming release:

  • You can attend the New Release Party on October 16 from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can WIN PRIZES!
  • The MFT release, including all new stamp sets and Die-namics, is on October 16 at 10 PM EST.  You'll find all the newest products HERE at release time.

For my card set, I used the GORGEOUS new Thankful Leaves Die-namics to create my leaves. I used Lilybee Designs Autumn Spice paper, along with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I used it to make the veins, and to sponge around the edges to soften them. My sentiments, different on all three cards, were stamped on Whip Cream cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto the Designer Label 2 Stax Die-namics.

I used the Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics in Hot Fudge, and then new Fishtail Flags Layers Stax Die-namics with more of the Autumn Spice paper to create my flags. They have Michael's brads at the top. Also, I used the Medium Simply Scalloped Die-namics, and some yummy Hemp Cord to tie my string around the top of the the card, and my leaves.

Under my sentiment, I used the new Framing Flourishes Die-namics in Hot Fudge. I LOVE the look these create with NO effort. Gorgeous, right?

My card base is Fossil, also from MFT.

For my card tonight, I used the new Seasonal Sentiments set. I paired it with some SUPER shimmery paper from Heidi Grace. My cardstock colors are Fossil, Sweet Tooth, and Spring Rain(PTI) cardstock. I used the Large Fancy Flourish Die-namics, and Let it Snowflake Die-namics with more of the Heidi Grace paper. Michael's brads were used in the center of my Snowflakes, and I used Sweet Tooth Grosgrain, as well. To make it just a little more sparkly, I went over the words in my sentiment with my Sakura Glitter Pen.  My sketch is this week's I Spy Sketch challenge...sort of. I took a few liberties, but it was definitely my inspiration, lol.

Here is a close up photo of the front of my card, so you can SEE how super sparkly it is!!

Making A List...Bet YOU Are, Too!!!

Tonight's My Favorite Things teasers are bringing two AMAZING sets to you from the NEW Laina Lamb Designs line!! This month she has two new sets for you: Document It December and Journal It-Top Ten. I used both together to create a card, but I can see where the Scrapbooking (Life Journal, Project Life, etc.) possibilities are ENDLESS!!

As I said above, I combined both sets together to make my card. I cut off the main image from Journal It-Top Ten, to make it shorter (so it would fit on my card). I used the numbers from the Journal It set, too, to make it look like a list. The rest of the sentiments that I used are all from the Document It December set, and I stamped the Naughty and Nice on a piece of Basic Grey Aspen Frost paper. My sentiment panel were created with the Accent It Flags&Tags Die-namics, along with a Wild Cherry button, some hemp cord, and  Jellybean Green Grosgrain. If you can see them on the main panel, I used two of the check marks from that die as well. My flourishes were created using the Fancy Flourish Die-namics, and for my background, I used more of the Aspen Frost paper, with the new Fishtail Flags Layers Stax Die-namics. My cardstock colors are Sweet Tooth, Wild Cherry, Jellybean Green, and Fossil.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.

For my card tonight I paired this sketch with the For the Record 2 Documented pad, and my Clearly Sentimental about Friendship set. My ribbon is Sweet Tooth Grosgrain from MFT, and I used large Michael's brads, and a spiral clip. To finish, I added a flourish using the Fancy Flourish Die-namics in Black Licorice.
