Kraftin Kimmie Peeks: Lulu and Libby!!

I know I have already said it once or a dozen times, but I am THRILLED to be one of this month's Guest Designers with Kraftin' Kimmie, and I get to participate in this month's peeks-AWESOME!!

Yesterday, the Krafty Girls showed you the new Thank You Trinkets set, and today, we are showing you Cheryl's new set, Lulu and Libby!! I just LOVE these knock-kneed little girls, and would you LOOK at her cutie patootie little sister?!!

I stamped my girlies on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored them with my Copics. To cut them out, I used the Oval Stax Die-namics from MFT, and then layered them with the Oval Dainty Doily Die-namics in Celery. My corner tabs were cut with the Photo Corners Die-namics-once with some MME Nostalgia paper, and once in Celery. I then layered them together, and used a brad in the center of them. My sentiment was stamped on a flag from the First Place Award Die-namics, and then added on with a spiral clip and some YUMMY Peach Fizz Seam Binding from the Ribbon Carousel. For the base of my card, I used Sweet Tooth, then Celery and Blush Blossom. I used more of the pretty paper, and some more ribbon and brads.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to head on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog for a full list of Krafty Girls showing peeks today, and be DOUBLY sure to comment on ALL the blog posts for you chance to win this ADORABLE set!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

MFTWSC76 Thanks Bunches

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! That means it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things! It's MY favorite sketch challenge!!

For my card today, I used the SUPER CUTE new Mouse in the House-Blessed Mouse set. I stamped her on X-Press It Blending card, and some MME Nostalgia paper. Her shirt and skirt were paper pieced, and then I colored the rest of her with my Copics(mouse: R20, T03, T01, T00; flowers and butterflies:YR02, YR01, YR21, YR20, YG93, YG91; basket: E31, E33).

The butterflies were stamped seprately, and colored with the same Copic colors mentioned before. I used my Copic Multiliner(0.05) to add the motion marks by their wings.

For my grass, I used the Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics and some Certainly Celery paper.

The sentiment panel was cut out using the First Place Award Die-namics, and them popped up. I added a spiral clip and Peach Fizz Seam Binding about it, and on the side of them main image. For my butterflies, I used more of the Nostalgia paper, and the Butterfly Die-namics.  I added Michael's brads to the butterflies, as well as the main panel. My other card stock colors are Blush Blossom and Banana Split(Bazzill).

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

June Creative Challenge-Frame It

Hey Everyone!!Are you ready, because it is time for this month's Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things!!

Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we've been asked to Frame It! Be sure to check the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have put their MFT stamps and/or Die-namics dies to work to create a framed piece of art for you.

For my project today, I made this as a Get Well present for my boyfriend's daughter. She had major spine surgery today, and this is for her for when she gets home. :)

For my frame, I used a shadow box I bought at Michael's. It was in a 3pack for $19.99(on sale for $9.99-score!)!! I started by covering the back with Natural card stock. I cut it to size, and cut out the holes to adjust for the frame holders.

I then stamped my Pure Innocence You Color My World on X-Press It blending card, and then colored it with my Copics.

I then stamped my sentiment from the Clearly Sentimental about Art set.

I then cut out the entire panel, with room at the top for me to put one of the Artist Palette and Brush Die-namics at the top. The palette and brush were cut out of Natural card stock, and my paint splotches, along with the layering on the panel are: Red Hot, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Night of Navy(SU), Grape Jelly, and Grapesicle. On the brush, I colored the bristles with my T7 Copic, and added some red to the tip with my R59.

My rainbow as cut out once from ALL the colors of card stock I mentioned before using the Rainbow Die-namics. My clouds were cut out of Sweet Tooth card stock with the Cloud Trio Die-namics.

I then cut out the letters to spell out art from the By The Letters Die-namics. I used Red Hot, Sour Apple, and Orange Fizz.

For a little extra interest, and because I had a LOT of leftover cuts from the  Artist Pallette and Brush Die-namics, I used all the brushes and ink spots to create a background.

To finish, I added buttons that I purchased at Hobby Lobby in a 1lb bag(Buttons Galore I believe), and added them to the edge of the frame.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now! Coming (sort of)live from Riley's Childrens Hospital in Indianapolis, this is a very tired almost-step mom signing off! Have a great day, and be sure to check out the MFT Blog and see what the rest of my teammates have created for today!

My birds from the Delightful Day set were stamped three times a piece, twice on Snow White card stock, and once on the Hello Summer paper from Echo Park. I colored the body twice, cut one out and popped it up with dimensionals, and then cut just the wings out of the Echo Park paper, and popped those up. My sketch is this month's Sketch For You To Try.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 132-Under The Sea

Hey everyone, and Happy Saturday(again, lol)!! It is time for this week's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge, and today's challenge goes with the new Krafty Klubhouse set, Sea Jewels, PERFECTLY! It's called Under the Sea....and well, that pretty much says it all, lol.

I stamped my mermaid from the Sea Jewels set on X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was layered with Robin's Egg(Bazzill), Sour Apple(MFT) and Fossil(MFT) card stock. I used some paper from the MME Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky paper pad for my background, and layered it with Fossil card stock. The MFT Wave Border Die-namics was used to cut out my Fossil wave strip at the top....which I put upside down to make it look like the water was meeting the sand...did it work? LOL! For my "seaweed", I used the Leafy Flourish Die-namics, and I added several  "starfish" using the MFT Stars Stax Die-namics. To finish, I used some Caribbean Twine, and SU Oval Punches for my sentiment.

Well, that is it for me for today! Be sure to head to the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog to see what the other girls have come up with for this week's challenge! I hope to see you playing along!!

iSpy a Crazy Challenge

Hey everyone, and happy Saturday! It's time for another Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, and today's challenge is to make a card using circles. I decided to combine it with this week's I Spy Sketch Challenge, as well.

If you decide to play along with us at Crazy 4 Challenges, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C140. Don't forget to come back here and link it on InLinkz so that everyone else can see it too.

If you decide to play along with us at the iSpy Sketch Blog, be sure to link your card there, as well!!

For my card tonight, I used the SUPER adorable Cute As A Button set from There She Goes. I stamped my image four times...once on Sweet Tooth card stock for the base, then on two different pieces of paper from the MME Indie Chic Ginger pad, and then on X-Press It blending card. I paper pieced the pin cushion using my papers, and colored the button on the one stamped on X-Press It blending card-which was cut out separately. My image was cut out with the MFT Circle Stax Die-namics, and then layered with the Open Scalloped Doily Duo Die-namics in Going Gray. For my other card stock colors, I used Bazzill Gold Coin and SU Tangerine Tango. Grey Mist seam binding is the ribbon I used, and my brads are from Michael's.

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to check out my teammates at both the Crazy 4 Challenges and iSpy blogs! They are listed in my sidebar!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
