TSG116- Christine's Colors....

Happy Monday, my lovelies!! For those of you still coming to my blog(oh where, oh where, did my followers go), it is time for another There She Goes challenge!! This week our featured Trendsetter Christine is challenging us to use a beautiful color combination of Soft Yellow, Chocolate Brown and Baby Blue!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that uses the colors provided, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 25). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery.

For this week's card, I started with an image from the new Make a Splash set. I stamped her on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. Her tail was paper pieced with some yummy MME Fine&Dandy Little Boy Blue paper. I then layered her with MFT cardstock in Sno Cone, Banana Split, and Hot Fudge....my favorite cardstock EVER!!! I followed my fellow Trendsetter, Karen's, sketch. She hosts the Sweet Sunday Sketch...and it is ALWAYS one of my favorites to play along with!! I used more of the same paper, some Cappuccino Twine, Michael's brads, and SU ribbons. My sentiment is from the the Fairy Wishes set, and it was punched out with the SU Modern Label Punch.
Well, that is it for me now! Hope to see more of you around commenting...I'm starting to worry that I have BO or something....do I offend???hehe!!!

Crazy 4 Challenges-Joy Fold Card

Hi everyone and happy Saturday. It's time for another Crazy 4 Challenges challenge, and our challenge hostess Cindy has another fun challenge for you. Today we are making Joy Fold Card's. Here is a Tutorial for you Joy Fold Card!!

If you decide to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C96. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

For my card tonight, which I have to say...I kinda LOVE, I used the new Fred Bear Takes a Hike set. I stamped him on X-Press It blending card, and then colored him with my Copics. I then cut him out...which was NOT fun, but looks so CUTE! My paper, which just MAKES the card, is MME Fine& Dandy Little Boy Blue. I paired it with Sno Cone, Orange Fizz, and Hot Fudge. I used the new You Move Me Die-namics to make some tiny clouds...don't they look SO CUTE with that paper??!! (pats self on back, hehe) Seriously, though, I used Michael's brads, and the modern label punch from SU.

For the inside, I used the grass stamp, and another saying from the set. I am REALLY against showing my work on the inside...I don't know why, so I had to cover both the orange small panel, and the brown panel on the side(as well as the back, but you can't see that), but it's not required...it's just my OCD, lol. One other thing you should know, I used the Square Card measurements that Beate gives in her SCS tutorial. That means that I started with a 4 1/4x6 1/4 base. The instructions are at the bottom of her post.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! Be sure to check out the other Crazies to see what they have been up to!

A Bella/Stella Mojo Forgotten Stamp Friday

Happy Friday everyone!! Since it is Friday, it is time for Forgotten Stamp Friday. If you aren't familiar with this challenge, it is a personal challenge that I have posed to myself to make me use some of my un-inked, unused, and neglected stamps. The only rule is that it has to have been un-inked or owned for 6 months. Digi images count, as well...we tend to collect those, and then never use them, too! If you decide to play along, just be sure to enter your name in the Mr. Linky, and when uploading to an online gallery, use the keyword...FSF27.

I also played along with this week's Mojo Monday sketch, and Bella Friday post to use a Stella or Bella.

For my card, I stamped my Leaning Tower of Stella on an X-Press It Blending card, and then colored it with my Copics. She was then layered with Cotton Candy, Sour Apple, and Wild Cherry card stock from My Favorite Things. I used two different SU ribbons, and some yummy MME Lime Twist. I used some Michael's brads, and a Creative Express Spiral Clip.
Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and I can't wait to see if you play along!

MFTWSC28- Ahoy Matey!!

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! Since it is Wednesday, technically, it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things!!

For this week's sketch, it called for a long skinny panel which ALWAYS makes me think...à la mode!! Since I was thinking that, I decided to play with last month's- I Treasure You set. She was stamped on an X-Press It Blending card, and then colored with Copics. I then layered with Spearmint, Tangy Orange, and Hot Fudge. My paper is from the MME Stella&Rose Mabel pack. I used the new File Tab Die-namics at the top, too. My brads are all from Michael's, my spiral clip is from Creative Express, ribbon from PTI, and my sentiment punch is from SU. I also used some Mandarin Orange twine, as well.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a full list of designers participating in today's sketch!!

On a Roll With My Favorite Things!!

Hey everyone, guess what time it is?? CREATIVE CHALLENGE TIME!

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're On a Roll! Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!

This month's challenge, called, On a Roll, is all about rolled flowers, or rolled paper(or felt in my case). Basically, we are playing with the GORGEOUS rolled flower Die-namics from MFT. I specifically decided to play along with this challenge BECAUSE I am SCARED of my flower dies...it's true. So, my tip to you, and listen closely....USE FELT FIRST! I tried SEVERAL different roses, in all 4 sizes, the daisy, all of it, with paper to NO avail....nothing looked right. I KNEW I needed more practice, so Puff Cloud White Felt from MFT to the rescue. My camera is on it's last leg, so I don't have step by step photos, but start from the outside of the flower die, and roll into the center where the big tag is. Use it to secure the bottom of your flower using a glue dot, or other adhesive. To make my flowers actually look like daisies(think PUFF BALLS from the last time I used it, OIY), I added some old MFT Spring buttons with some Blossom Twine. Those were also adhered with glue dots.

My image is the super cute Pure Innocence-Aim High. My sentiment is from the PI- Waterlily set. I stamped her on an X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was then layered with Berrylicious, Orange Fizz, and Cotton Candy. I paired her with some Echo Park Sweet Summertime paper. It was used in the background, as well as to paper piece the kite. My ribbon is from SU, brads are from American Crafts, and my spiral clip is from Creative Express. I used the Small Open Scalloped Border Die-namics, as well.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a GREAT day! Be sure to head to Kim's blog for a look at all the other designers "On a Roll" cards!!

HUGS!!!

TSG115- Fabric...

This week our challenge, over at There She Goes, is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week - Karen! She is challenging us to use fabric on our cards and projects. There are so many fun ways to incorporate fabric on cards and we can't wait to see all of the things you crafty peeps come up with!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that incorporates fabric, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 18).

Over the weekend, I looked at this week's challenge and decided not to play. I just moved, and all types of fabric I MIGHT have had, are in storage, so I didn't feel equipped to play along.....then it happened. I found some clothes that were going to be put in my rummage sale...and I KNEW this particular skirt had a rip in it, so I decided to cut it up and use it so I could play along. I started by stamping my image from The Fairy Best on X-Press It Blending card, and then I colored it with my Copics. I then layered it with Grape Jelly, Orange Fizz, and Blue Raspberry. My paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Delovely collection. I used Caribbean Twine, and a Basic Grey button. My brads are from Michael's.
Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Summer

Hey everyone, and welcome to this week's Crazy 4 Challenges, challenge! This week's challenge is to make a summery card, so along with that in mind, and this past week's Sweet Sunday Sketch, this is what happened!!

I KNEW I wanted to use the ADORABLE new Pure Innocence image, Make a Splash. I started by stamping her on an X-Press It Blending card, and I also stamped her on some Sweet Summertime paper from Echo Park. I paper pieced her swimsuit, and then colored the rest of her with my Copics. I layered my image with Cotton Candy, Lemon Drop, and Sour Apple. I used some old SU and MFT ribbon, I also used an old MFT button. My sentiment was cut out with my First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics, and my scallops with the Simply Scalloped Medium Die-namics. My spiral clip is from Creative Express, and my brads are from Michael's.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and another sentiment from the set.

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! Be sure to check out the other Crazies to see what they have been up to!

MFTWSC27 Sew Nifty

Hey everyone, and happy Wednesday!! Since it is Wednesday, technically, it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge from My Favorite Things!!

For my card tonight, I decided to use the new Sew Nifty set that was released tonight. I started by stamping my sentiment on GP white, and then cut it out with my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. I then used some old MFT ruffled ribbon, and made a "frame" for it. My spool was cut out using Fossil card stock, and the new Sew Nifty Die-namics. I used linen thread to wrap it. My brads are from Michael, ribbon from SU, and I used a Creative Express spiral clip. The card stock colors I used are Snow Cone, Sour Apple, and Lemon Drop. I paired it with some Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper. I also used the Solid Bracket Edge Die-namics, as well.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies and another die from the set.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a full list of designers participating in today's sketch!!
