MFTWSC15-Hare Today...

Hey Everyone!! It is Wednesday, so that means it is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge. This week's sketch is another amazing one, so let's get to it!!

I started by stamping my Flopsey Goes Fishing on an X- Press It Blending card. I then colored him with my Copics, and cut him out. He was then layered on GP white, Pacific Point, Summer Sun, and Hot Fudge. My grass was cut using the Fresh Cut Grass Die-namic, and my clouds were made using the Flat Bottom Cloud Die-namic. For the strip down the center, I used some SU Good Morning Sunshine DP, which I bordered with the Open Scalloped Die-namic. I used Michael's brads, and an SU punch for my sentiment. I used some SU ribbon, as well.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and I also cut out an extra fish...so fun!!

Well, that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by and have great day! Head on over to Kim's blog to see a list of the other designers participating today, and to the MFT forum on SCS for more details as well!!

April Creative Challenge-For the Kids...

This month's Creative Challenge, over at My Favorite Things, is all about the kids!! Our challenge was to make a gift item for a kid.....and I was scared. As you all know, I really dislike doing anything that isn't a card....I don't know why, but I just can't help the way I feel. In spite of my feelings, I decided to decorate a tin to give to my bosses granddaughter for when she is in the car.

I started with the plain tin you see here. We had them as a promotional item at the store, and my boss decided she didn't want them junking up the counter any more. She was GOING to throw them all away, but I rescued them from the trash.

I used some K&Co. paper, which I traced the shape of the tin on twice. I cut it out with scissors, and then used red line tape to attache it. To cover the edges, I used some SU Brocade Blue ribbon. My image is the new Pure Innocence- You Color My World. I layered it with Brocade Blue, Jelly Bean Green, and Orange Fizz. My sentiment was done the same way. I used some Basic Grey buttons, and Peapod Twine, purchased through MFT.

For the inside, I covered the inside panels with more DP. I then stamped several different PI images on some GP white cardstock, and placed them inside...along with some crayons. Now, maybe she won't drive my boss nuts in the car, lol!

Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to head to Kim's blog to see a list of all the other designers participating today. Have a great day!

Crazy 4 There She Goes...

Hey everyone, and happy Monday! Today, I have a card for you that I made for both the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge from Saturday(boy am I late), and this week's There She Goes challenge. I had every intention of stamping over the weekend, and instead I was sick and tired all weekend...that's how it goes, I guess.

Here are the details about the There She Goes challenge:

This week’s challenge is brought to us by this month’s Trendy, Marisa! It’s time to pull out that rarely used, but always elegant vellum. There are all sorts of techniques you use that will showcase the vellum stunningly, or you can simply stamp the vellum as use it as a focal panel…your choices are limitless! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that utilizes vellum, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Apr. 18th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

And here is the information on the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge:

Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too. Now let's see what the "Crazies" have come up with this week............

For my card, I started with a Fossil base...hey, that's kinda brown... which I layered with Very Vanilla and Jellybean Green. My green DP is from Echo Park, and my my brown is from SU. I used the Faux Crochet Border Die-namic in Vanilla, as well. My ribbon is from MFT, and my brads are from Michael's. I used Vellum for my sentiment, which was stamped in Rich Cocoa ink. My image is from the There She Goes Tulip set, and was stamped on a Cream Perfect Panel from MFT. I colored it with Copics.

Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 18

Hey everyone, and welcome to Forgotten Stamp Friday!! Not familiar with this challenge...well, you should be!! Every week, I challenge myself, and all of you, to make a card using your poor, lonely, dusty, unused, forgotten stamps. I feel guilty with the sheer VOLUME of stamps that I own in comparison to what I ACTUALLY use, so this challenge is one that helps me to ease my guilt a little. There are NO rules, just that you
a)PLAY ALONG
b) use a stamp that is either unused or owned and un-inked for 6 months
c) come back and add yourself to the linky thingy so I can see what you've done
d) be sure if you upload to SCS, that you use the keyword FSF18...that way I can find you!!

For my card tonight, I used a stamp I got from The Greeting Farm a LONG time ago, and I have NEVER used it...EEEKS...she is so CUTE!! She, part of the Miss Anya Dressy set, was stamped on an X-Press It Blending card, and then colored with my Copics. I then layered her with Red Hot and Pacific Point. My DP is old SU, and all my ribbons are from there as well. I used the Anya Says set for my sentiment.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Don't forget to add yourself to my linky thingy.

She was stamped on an X-Press It Blending card, and then colored with Copics, and paper pieced. I layered her with Black Licorice, and I also used Red Hot and Berrylicious. Fun Colors! My DP is from Basic Grey. I used the new Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics....so fun, along with some old MFT ribbon.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and another sentiment from the set.

Do It Anyway....

Tonight we are on our FINAL night of teaser's at My Favorite Things before our big Blog Hop and Shop tomorrow night at 10pmEST....so FUN!! I for one am DYING over this month's release, and I can tell by your reactions that you all are, too. It just makes it so much....MORE...know what I mean? Anywho, tonight we are showing you two new sets: Clearly Sentimental About Success, and Fiesta Girl(March's VIP set). I don't usually go for the sentiment only cards, but with sentiments like these, how could you not?

For my card, I started by stamping my sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa on a piece of GP white cardstock. I then cut it out using my Framed Greeting Die-namics. I then layered it on top of some Pink Pirouette and Hot Fudge Cardstock. Do you SEE that GORGEOUS new Doily Die-namic, the High Tea Doily......OMGOSH!! I am in LOVE with it!!

The Doily comes with it's on pop out tool, which you are gonna want...just sayin'.....oiy vey, that's a lot of holes!!! It was cut out of a piece of Bella Rose DP from SU. I then layered it on top of more do the DP, and cardstock. My ribbon was from MFT, and my brads are from Michael's.

On the inside, I used another Die-namic, the Dainty Doily Border. I also used my FAVORITE saying from this set....that pretty much sums up my life. I tend to be afraid of everything, change and I don't get along, and this saying SPEAKS to me.

Today is day four of this month's new release teasers for My Favorite Things, and we have two fun new sets to share with you tonight: Inspired By Spring, and Hello Sunshine by Clair Keay. Isn't she the cutest??!!

For my card tonight, I stamped my image on an X-Press It Blending card, and then colored most of it with my Copics. I paper pieced her dress with some Cosmo Cricket Togetherness paper, which I also used on the rest of the card. My cardstock colors are Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise(both PTI), and Berrylicious(MFT). My ribbon is from PTI, as well as my button, and my brads are from Michael's. I loosely followed a Sweet Sunday Sketch from a week or two ago. I used the Sweet Stack Die-namics for my sentiment....I'm obsessed.
