Altered Recipe Box

I decided to make a few gifts this year, and this is one of them!! I started with a $1 recipe box from the dollar bin at Michael's.

I then covered it with the paper of my choice, and then sanded the edges. My DP was bought at Michael's, by the way.

I then used my What's Cooking? a la mode, by stamping her on an Perfect Panel, then coloring her with my Copics.

I used the Star Die-namics, as well as, the Framed Greetings Die-namics to decorate my box. I REALLY hope she liked it!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Heartfelt Thanks...

to all my blog readers, friends, family, team members and everyone else reading this!! You have made this year one that I will never forget!! To you and yours, have a VERY Merry Christmas!! This card, is for you all!!

For my card today, I used the new Heartfelt set from My Favorite Things. I paired it with some Paper Studio DP bought at Hobby Lobby. The only card stock I used is Fossil from MFT, and white from Gina K. Designs. My image was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored with my Copics. The ribbons I used are from SU, brads from Michael's brads, and Creative Express spiral clips.

For the inside, I used more of all the same supplies, and some more of the YUMMY Paper Studio DP. It is sorta country, but, hey...I'm sorta from the country.
Well, that is it for me for now!!! Again, I hope you all have a VERY Merry Christmas!! Have an amazing day, and thank you SO MUCH for stopping by!!

Forgotten Stamp Friday-Week 3

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog!! It is time for my Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge!! As some of you might have seen, I started a little "personal" challenge called- Forgotten Stamp Friday!! Basically, I am challenging myself, and YOU, to use some of those poor, dusty, neglected, forgotten stamps from your collection!! I have created my own "keyword", this week's is FSF03. Last week, I had TWO people play along!! I was so EXCITED!! Thanks Dawn and Jodi!! The only rule is to use a stamp set that hasn't been used in at least 6 months.

For my card tonight, I not only used a stamp I have had for over 6 months, but one that has NEVER seen ink. Why do I do that?? SUCH a cute image!! I started by stamping my Polly Packages image from Stamping Bella, on a piece of MFT Cream Perfect Panel. She was then layered with Wild Cherry and Black Licorice. The embossed snowflake layer is one of the sold pieces from my Paper Studio paper pack. I used Mercy's sketch, as well.
Well, that is it for me for now!! I can't wait to see if you play along!! Be sure to use the keyword FSF03, or come back here and leave me a link in the comments!! There is no time limit, just be sure to use the right keyword, and have FUN!! Have a great day!!

WSC- Die-namics!!

It is time for another Wednesday Stamp Club challenge, and anytime I get an excuse to use two of my FAVORITE products: My Favorite Things stamps, and Die-namics....I just can't resist!! This week's challenge is to make a card or project with Die-namics as the focus. For more info, and to chat with fellow participants, head on over to the MFT Forum where the new challenge thread will be posted in the morning!! For now...stay here. LOL!!

For my card, I used the new Pure Innocence-Love You With All My Heart. I am still in Christmas card mode, so I decided to use it as a Christmas image. My sentiment comes from the Merry KISSmas set. I used Wild Cherry, Hot Fudge, and baja Breeze card stock for my card, paired with some SU DP. My brads are from SU, as well as my ribbon. I also used a Heidi Swapp ghost snowflake shape.

I used the Snowflake Trio Die-namic, Decorative Doily Die-namic, and Hearts a Plenty Die-namic on my card. Fun, right!! I love that MFT has their own set of Dies....too fun!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out the MFT blog for a list of other designers who have posted this week!! Thanks for stopping by!

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog!! You KNOW I love it when you visit, right?? Last week, as some of you might have seen, I started a little "personal" challenge called- Forgotten Stamp Friday!! Basically, I am challenging myself, and YOU, to use some of those poor, dusty, neglected, forgotten stamps from your collection!! I have created my own "keyword", this week's is FSF02. Last week, I had TWO people play along!! I was so EXCITED!! Thanks Dawn and Becca!! The only rule is to use a stamp set that hasn't been used in at least 6 months.

So, for today's card, I used my, The Magic of Christmas, set from Gina K. Designs. I stamped my GORGEOUS image on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored it in with my Copics. I then layered it with Baja Breeze, Wild Cherry and Hot Fudge card stock. My DP is from an old SU Christmas Pack(Alpine....I dunno). My sketch was the Mojo Monday sketch from a couple weeks ago. The ribbon I used is from MFT, and the brads are from Michael's.

Wednesday Stamp Club-Pure Innocence Christmas

It is time for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club challenge(well, it was...I'm a wee bit late), and we hope that you’ll be able to find some time to play along with us this week. Our theme this week is a Pure Innocence Christmas…. and if you’d like to play along – we’d love to have you create a last minute Christmas card using PI stamps. This week’s Splitcoast Stampers Keyword will be MFTWSC12152010

For my card, I used the Pure Innocence-Don't Open Until(first time using THIS stamp...gosh, I suck), along with sentiments from the Sending a Little Christmas set. My image was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then layered with Red Hot, Regal Rose, and Wild Wasabi. It was colored with Copics....and that's where the problem's started. My green marker got a spot on my clouds, so I had to cut out the image...because it was already colored, and then layer it onto another stamped image. I used SU Dazzling Diamond glitter and a glue pen for my snow. My sentiment was made using the SU Label punch, then free hand cutting out the next layer. I used buttons from Wal-mart, and ribbon from MFT.

My scallops, both inside and out, were made using the Little Open Scallop Strip. I followed Mercy's sketch from this week.

My DP is part of the DCWV Glitter Christmas collection from a few years ago. I still love it!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to check out the MFT member forum for more details on our challenges!! Also, if you are a fan of My Favorite Things on Facebook, you may have already heard how you can win the ENTIRE January release...if not, check out this post from Kim!! Thanks for stopping by!!

It's VIP Time!!

Welcome to this month's VIP HOP!! Tonight's hop started at Kim's Blog, as always, and if you are here now, you should have come from Melody's FABULOUS blog!!

So, if you aren't familiar with the VIP package, here are some details!!

December 14 (at 10 PM EST), the MFT VIP will be released. It is a ONE DAY ONLY product (will be available through December 15 at 11:59 PM EST), that gives you the opportunity to purchase the WTG set THREE WEEKS early.

Need a visual?

If you haven't run off to shop, wanna see what I made...please? ;)

For my card, I started by coloring my image with my Copics, and then layering it with Regal Rose, Crushed Curry and Berrylicious(MFT). I then used my Bracket Edge Dienamic to cut out my Urban Prairie paper from Basic Grey. I added some ribbon from SU and Michael's, and of COURSE, I had to add some brads and a spiral clip!!

For the inside, I cut out the mat from the set, after coloring it, and added it to the bottom. I used the new Layered Label Die-namics...our special bonus with this month's package!! It will be officially released the first Wednesday of January, but if you are lucky enough to get the VIP package, you will be one of the first one's to have it!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Be sure to head on over to JOANNE'S BLOG...she is the next stop on the hop, and I am SURE she is gonna show you something AWESOME!!
