Crazy 4 Challenges- Books!!

This week at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, with school firing back up, Joycelyn, this month's challenge hostess, thought we'd celebrate BOOKS!! Your challenge is to create anything 'Book Related'! So that can be a bookmark, a stamp image with books, or even a card inspired by a favorite book! Have fun with this challenge and get lost in the world of books!

If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C53. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

Before I get to my card, which I am IN LOVE WITH, I wanted to let you know that Vicki, one of the founders of the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog, has decided to step down from the team. We are sad to see her go, but wish her the best!! Taking her place, is Tammy Hershberger. Please help us give Tammy a big welcome!

For my card today, I used the new Believe In You set from There She Goes. Isn't it CUTE!! If you are a teacher, know a teacher, or are a parent of school age kids, aunt, grandma....whatever, it is the PERFECT set!! So cute and fun!! I started by stamping my three images on an MFT Perfect Panel, then I colored them each with my Copics. I layered them with Pacific Point, Red Hot, and Banana Split. My DP is Lily Bee's Hello Sunshine...so bright and fun!! The ribbon I used is from MFT, the brads are from Michael's, and the spiral clips are from Creative Express.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by!! Be sure to visit my crazies and see what they have for this challenge!!

Happy Hop Day!!

Hey everyone!! Happy My Favorite Things release day!! Tonight, our new release hop started at Kim's Blog. If you are here now, you should have come from Cindy's Blog!! Don't forget, there is blog candy hidden along the way, so be sure to leave comments on all the DT's blogs....you never know where it is hiding!!

Tonight, I have two cards for you, but my JOB is to show you the new Flapper Doodle, All Dolled Up. Isn't she PERFECT?? I love her pretty dress, which can be a wedding dress, prom dress, you name it!! I had an urge to use purple, so I went with more of a prom-y theme. My sketch is this week's Wednesday Stamp Club challenge. This set sells for $9!!!

My next card is the new Super Boy Pure Innocence set. I don't know if you have seen the movie Sister Act 2, but there is a part where Whoopi Goldberg's character asks Maria to sing Mary Had A Little Lamb, and she doesn't know the words. Whoopi, trying to make the other students stop making fun of her, starts justifying WHY she wouldn't know it...and one thing she says is.."maybe, where Maria comes from, Mary has a dog, or a little bald headed brother named Bob"....cracks me up every time I hear it!! When I see the little PI boys, I always think of that line, because of their cute little baldish heads...so I've lovingly named him Bob. LMBO!! Sorry, I told you earlier this week that I was nuts!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great time on the hop!! Next stop, Megan's Blog!!!

I have cards with all three made, but after yesterday's SUPER long post, I figure I will save some for later!! Aren't I nice?? ;) Before I get to my card, here is some need to know info!!

For my card today, I used the new PI Honey Bee. Isn't she cute!! I know it is cliche', but I went with yellow and black. The Summer Sun DP is from the SU Good Morning Sunshine pack, and the black polka dots is actually from the Echo Park Halloween Collection. It is SO YUMMY!! I must have more!! I ordered a sample pack from Die Cuts R Us because I can't really afford to buy a whole pack, and with sample packs, I get a little of all I want, but this paper....it speaks to me!! Plus, I LOVE Halloween!!

I used my Rounded Banner Trio Die again to add on my sentiment, and my ribbon is from MFT.

Teaser's Day TWO!!

Today is day two of this month's My Favorite Things teasers, and today we are showing three ADORABLE new sets!! Our new Fred Bear Fishing, Emma Playing Mommy, and Wyatt the Conductor. I loved all three sets so much, that I decided to use all three today, LOL!! Lots of eye candy, if you will!! First, some business!!

Today, there is a prize hidden on one of the designer's blog posts. As you make your way through the Teaser Time posts, simply leave a comment on each blog, for your chance to win one of the Brand Spankin' New stamp sets being released on September 1st. A winner will be chosen from the comments on the pre-selected blog before tomorrow's teaser list goes live, and will be posted on Kim's blog HERE. Be sure to check tomorrow to see if YOU are the winner. You can play along each day for your chance to win. We will be giving away TEN new stamp sets this week! As always, you can find the master list of participating designers HERE Kim's blog.

Okay, so there is a lot of card in this post, so let's get to it!!
For my first card, I used the new Fred Bear Fishing....gosh, I love Fred!! I paired him with some Good Morning Sunshine DP from SU....it was just perfect for him!! For my sentiment, I actually cut it apart, so that I could use only the You're. The dots were added with my Copic pen.

For the inside, I used the rest of the sentiment, some more yummy DP, and my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. I have seen some of the other talented ladies on the team finishing their cards with circles on the inside, and I wanted to give it a whirl!! My sketch for this card was a recent sketch on Mercy's Blog.

My sun was made with my Die-namics, some more DP, and a piece of Summer Sun cardstock. I love that you can layer them...SO FUN!!

For my next card, I used my Emma Playing Mommy. Isn't she a PEACH??!! I just love the new Emma and Wyatt sets, and this one is no exception!! She was paired with some Retro DP from DCWV. I paper pieced the stroller, colored parts of it, cut it out, and added it on top of her. I put some brads on the wheels, too. I love the shoes....SO CUTE!!

For the inside of my card, I used more of the same supplies. Isn't it just fun??!! I also forgot to mention that my sketch is a previous SFYTT.

I don't know if you noticed, but I used one of the NEW Die-namics being released on Wednesday!! It is our new Rounded Banner Trio Die. It works the same way as the pennant die, and was made to make a banner with three parts that layer together. I used it in a different way, to add my sentiment on!! I, also, only used two parts of the trio...but you get the picture, I'm sure!!

For my last card, I used the new Wyatt the Conductor set....SO FUN!! My DP is from the K&Co. Hopskotch pack...super fun for kids cards!! My sketch is this past week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch. Isn't he a CUTIE??

For the inside, you all are going to think I am crazy, but I used the new Notebook Edge Die-namics being released this week. I used it to cut out a piece of DP, and had it flipped the wrong way. When I saw how it looked, it made me think of trees...I know, right?

So I decided to do the other edge the wrong way, and kind of going up hill. Then I stamped my train, colored it with Copics, and cut it out. I cut off part of the trees, so it wouldn't be in the way, but I thought paired with this sentiment, that it really worked. I know, I'm nuts.

Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by!! Before you go, here is all the need to know info!!

* All the new stamp sets, Die-namics, and new products are available September 1st at 10 PM EST HERE in the MFT Boutique

Crazy 4 Challenges- Lattice

This week's challenge over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog is a challenge to use lattice work on your card or project. You can use punches, dies, stamps, paper, or scoring, like I did, the sky is the limit!! Wanna play along? Here are the details!!

If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C52. Don't forget to come back here and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

Not only that, this post is serving TRIPLE duty!! It is one of the sets we are showing teaser's of at My Favorite Things, Clearly Sentimental About Harvesting, PLUS, it goes along with this month's Guest Designer Challenge for MFT, so yaaaaay me!!

This month's challenge is to make a card using your sentiment as the main focus on your card. This is something I NEVER do, so it was a challenge for me. This card doesn't go along with what my norm is, but it is always good to step out of your comfort zone a little, right? For more details on this month's challenge, check out the SCS Member forum!!

Now that I am done talking your leg off, here are some details about my card. I stamped my sentiment on a piece of Gina K. White with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I then layered it with Hot Fudge cardstock. The other colors on this card are Pink Pirouette and Wild Cherry(MFT). I used my Scor-pal to make my lattice work on the DP layer, a piece of Bella Rose DP to be exact. My brads are from American Crafts, and my ribbon is from Michael's.
Well, that is it for me for now!! Here is the MFT release info, just incase you missed it on my original Tiny Town post!!

A Groovy SFYTT

While the rest of the My Favorite Things team were busy showing you sneak peeks of the SUPER CUTE new Groovy a la mode set, I was up all night, sick as a dog, with a migraine...yes, again/still. I just can't seem to shake this one!! It is ok-ish today, but not great. Anyway, I had started this card, then, but just couldn't get it done in time, so I decided to finish it and show it today. What's ALSO cool is that fact that it goes along with this week's Wednesday Stamp Club challenge, to use flowers!! For more details, check out the SCS member forum!!

Looking back now, I am SO GLAD I waited, because it turned out EXACTLY like I wanted...and I LOVE it. My image was colored with Copics, and although I got the peace sign a LITTLE bright, I still love it. I then layered it with Bashful Blue, Old Olive, and Hot Fudge. My DP is from my DCWV Retro Prints pack....gosh, I love that paper. This card is ACTUALLY what got me using it again, and now that I have done two other projects with it, it is finally getting to see the light of day.

For the flowers that I put on the outside, and the inside, I used my new Flower Trio and Leaf Trio Die-namic. I used almost every flower that was cut out, yaaaay me!!lol!! I also used some American Crafts brads, and SU ribbon.

My sentiments, both inside and out, were punched out using my SU modern label punch. I also used the super cute Open Scalloped Die-namic.

I almost forgot to tell you that I used one of Jen del Muro's SFYTT for my layout!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
