MTSC74- A Little Late

I love sketch challenges, so when I see a sketch I love, I save the picture to my computer, then print it out to use later. I NEVER get to use all of them when I want, so sometimes I get behind....like this one!! This sketch is one of Mercy's from WEEK'S ago, but I LOVE it!!

I used it to make one of my sample card's for my Wednesday Trends post on the There She Goes blog. My trend, was cork. I am seeing cork EVERYWHERE, and LOVING it!! I used it to create my background panel....kind of gives it a wood feel, don't ya think? My sentiment, and cute little hammer, are from the new Dadisms set. The sentiment that goes with this one is LOL hilarious.....you REALLY need to check it out!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Pleating

Hey everyone and welcome to this week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge!! This week's challenge is being hosted by Mercy, and is fabulous and trendy!! Her challenge to us, and all of you, was to use pleating on your card. Paper Pleating, or Ribbon Pleating, either one would work!! And to start this month out with a bang, our sponsor, Stamp N Plus Scrap N, will be giving away a prize to one of the lucky participants of this week's challenge! The winner will be randomly selected then announced on next week's post on the C4C blog! If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C40. Don't forget to go to the C4C blog and link it on Mr Linky so that everyone else can see it too!!

I know, I am OBSESSED with this color combo right now, but it is so awesome!! I wish I had ordered more Bermuda Bay before I gave SU the boot!! BOOOO!!! I still love their products, hate their policies. Anywho, I used the There She Goes, Sweet Pea set. It is one of my favorites from there, and I can't get enough of it. Do you see my pleated ribbon? Don't expect a lot of that out of me!! I still haven't set up my Janome, and it is a PAIN to do without it!! Love the look though, it is VERY YUMMY!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! See you here tomorrow...who knows what I will have for you!! Be sure to blurf around and see what the other Crazies have made for you to oogle!!

Dollar Find Friday

Hey everyone!! I'm here with this week's Dollar Find Friday post, also featured on the There She Goes Blog. My dollar find was in the $1 bins at my "not so" local, Joann's. It was this cute little address book, that I decided to make cuter.

I started by removing both the front and back cover. I then covered them with black card stock, then layered that with red and some Rockabilly DP from SU.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Dance set, and layered it with red. My flowers and leaves were stamped separately, then colored with Copics, cut out, and added on. I did add brads to the center of my flowers....for some reason, they just needed them

And there you have it, my altered address book!! Here is a tip for all of you out there....when adding your card stock layer to the front, be sure to use a strong adhesive. JUST DON'T put it where you are going to have to punch holes...what a mess!! Don't ask me how I know....

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you enjoyed!!

Hop! Hop! HOP!!

It's time for this month's My Favorite Things blog hop, and I am SUPER excited!! Tonight's hop started at Kim's Blog, as always, so head there to get started!!! If you are here now, you should have come from Julie's Blog!!

This month, I am actually responsible for showing you TWO different sets....yaaaay me!! The first one is the new Pure Innocence- Cart Full of Friends. It is so FUN!! I stamped my animals separately, and cut them out to add them to my wagon. So FUN!! This set sells for $9, and I can't wait to see what all you creative minds add to your wagon!!

The next set I am responsible for showing you is LAST month's Triple Scoop set, Thanks a Bunch. I paired it with this month's Emma Blowing Kisses....mainly because I hadn't had a chance to play with her, and she is so darn cute!!! I used a thanks sentiment from the Thanks a Bunch set on the outside.

On the inside, I used another sentiment from that set. This set sells for $15.95, and is the PERFECT thank you set, if you ask me!!
Well, that is it for me now!! You've got lots more hopping to do, so you better be on your way!! Have fun, and be sure to show the girl's how much you love their work by leaving a comment along the way!! Next stop- Cindy's Blog!!!

I am sure the new sets are a hit, and the new Die-namics....YUUUUMMM!!! Today, the team is teasing you with three sets: Who's That Girl Goes Green, Who's That Geek Guy, and Clearly Sentimental about Summer Vacation.

For my card today, I used the new Green Girl set. She was actually this past month's VIP set, so you have probably seen her cute little booty before, but I just LOVE her!!

And yes, if you saw my VIP hop post, the color combo is the same....but hey, I LOVE it!! I also opted NOT to put a sentiment on the front, so that I could use this sentiment on the inside. I LOVE it!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by, and have an awesome day!! For a look at who else is peeking today, head on over to Kim's blog for the full list!! Have fun!!

MFTeasers- Day 5!!!

It's day 5 of this month's My Favorite Things teasers, and today we are showing the two new Jolinne sets: Jolinne in my Garden, and Jolinne All Dressed Up, and Bath Time. Tonight, my first sample was made using the new Jolinne All Dressed Up.

For my card, I decided to use this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch. It was perfect for my image, which is actually pretty good sized. I thought about cutting her out, but decided to try my largest scalloped oval nestie. It has been awhile since I added a main panel without a layer, so it felt quite strange to me.

For my next project, I used the Bath Time set. I paper pieced the rug and wallpaper, then cut it out by hand and layered it on my ovals. I added it to my "tag", which I used my scalloped circle, and 1 3/8ths circle punches to make the hole.

I used the same paper pack(Basic Grey Lemonade), to decorate the outside of my tin. I also added a TON of ribbon to the handle, then filled the tin with some Avon Cucumber Melon bath goodies. I was not at home to take these pictures, so I may try to take new ones later....didn't have the STUFF to take a full picture!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by!! Be sure to head to Kim's Blog to see who all has teasers for you for today!!

If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG57 so we can check out your beautiful work!

I don't usually use these colors, and never together, but I got a Cosmo Cricket paper pack on clearance for $4 at Michael's when I was down stamping with Mercy, Jess, and Pam. It was the Ever After and Girl Friday paper packs combined. I knew the colors from Ever After would work PERFECT with the new Domestic Goddess, and A Woman's Place sets.
Ever since I got this set, I have been DYING to use this sentiment. It just SCREAMS Mommy Dearest to me. I chose to color a lot of the kitchen gray, so it would be kind of cold and plain...makes the sentiment that much funnier if you ask me!! I also used Taylor's Sketch from this weekend, awesome as always!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Hope to see you all playing along!!
stamps: Domestic Goddess and A Woman's Place
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

MFTeasers- Pure Innocence Monday!!

Judging by how many Pure Innocence cards I see out there, I'm thinking that you all are LOVING this new line from My Favorite Things just as much as I am!! This month, there are three new Pure Innocence Images being released, and I have two of them to show you today!!

For my first card, I used the soon to be released, Lollipop Girl. I just love how darn cute these little girls are!! I used it with this week's Sketch For You To Try. Can you see my Ric Rac behind the image(it's also on the inside)? It was made using the soon to be released Die-namic Ric Rac die. I also used some brown felt from the My Favorite Felt Banana Split collection from MFT.

For the inside, I used more of my SU DP, another piece of felt cut out using my Ric Rac Die-namic, and I also stamped my girl separately, cut her out, and added her on.

For my last card, I used last week's Sketch For You To Try along with the new Mud Buddies set. Isn't she precious?? I LOVED this color combo on my Fred Bear card, so I had to use it again!!
Well, that is it for me for now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Be sure to head to Kim's Blog to see what other DT members are showing teasers today!!
