Tweet This....

So, when I saw this sentiment in the new Birdie Wishes stamp set from There She Goes....I giggled uncontrollably. Not that I have anything against Twitter, per say, but I have just never gotten into it...updating my Facebook status and blog pretty much occupy all my time. I do, however, have a lot of friends that "tweet", and I have been known to tell them, in jest of course, to "tweet this", hehehehe. For all of you that have heard that from me, this card is for you!! LOL!!!

I started by using Mercy's Sketch from Tuesday. I stamped my branch with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then, I cut it, and it's layers (Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, and Pumpkin Pie) out with my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. The bird was then stamped separately and popped up. I stamped the bird with Regal Rose ink, and it's beak with Pumpkin Pie. My ribbons are all from SU, and my DP is as well(Sweet Always).
Well, that is it for me!! Have a great day!!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Birthday!!

Hey everyone, and welcome to this week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge. This week, Lori, challenged us to make a birthday card---since I am ALWAYS late with these, the sentiment on mine is PERFECT.

I decided to use my Elegant Artsy Swirls set from Innovative Stamp Creations. They are our beginning of the month sponsor on the C4C blog. I stamped my image on a piece of Vanilla cardstock with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink, and then I sponged Bravo Burgundy on the edges to soften them. My DP(Parisian Summer) and CS(Bravo Burgundy, Pink Pirouette, and Very Vanilla) are all from SU, and the ribbon is from May Arts. My sentiment panel was created using all SU punches, and the brads are from SU as well.
Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to head over to the C4C blog to see what the other girls have created for this challenge.

Final Notebook and My Sale!!

Howdy ya'll!! LOL!! I realized today that I have shown you all the notebooks I made for my nieces, except this one!! Before I get to the details of it, I have listed a TON of Stampin' Up Stuff for sale on Splitcoast Stampers. To avoid confusion, unless it stops moving there, I am going to leave the list just posted there. Here is a link to the thread and directions on how you can get what you are wanting!!

Onto my notebook!! This is my last one to show you, which kinda makes me sad. I made it for my niece Samantha...lovingly known as Sam. She USED to be a tomboy...but when I saw her on Christmas, all she could talk about was her BOYFRIEND and I am PRETTY SURE she had on makeup....UUUUGGGGHHH!!! Anywho, I stamped my Ambitious Cowgirl from Stamping Bella on an MFT Perfect Panel. She was then colored with Copics and cut out using my Oval Nesties and Cuttlebug. Then, I layered her with Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip. The DP is all from SU, as well as the ribbons, corduroy buttons, and hemp twine. The white layer behind the main image was run through my Cuttlebug, as well, with my Paisley folder.
Well, that is it for me now!! Have a great day!!

Sounds good to me, how about you??
For my project this month, I decided to do another wall hanging. I am LOVING these!! Not only did I use the new Pure Innocence stamp, Start the Day with Whee!, but I also used a sentiment from the Clearly Sentimental About Emerson stamp set. Since I was assigned the info on the Triple Scoop, I thought it was only appropriate, :). I started by taking a wooden oval cut out and painting it white. I then covered it with some Bella Rose DSP and sanded the edges. My image was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel and colored with my Copics. I then layered it with Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette. The white layer is Georgia Pacific paper cut out with my Cuttlebug and Scalloped Square Nesties. I then added some May Arts ribbon to the top and some more SU ribbon on a spiral clip. The sentiment actually hangs down a little off the bottom, and is attached with my ghost flower/button embellishment.
For my next project, I took a planner I got from the Dollar Store and covered it with DP so that it would be pretty.

I am on a mission to get more organized this year and stay ahead instead of behind, so I decided to get a planner so that I can write down everything I need to do, when it is due and all that. It will also keep my schedule straight.....between both jobs, appointments, and my social life....I need it!!

I covered the book with some My Mind's Eye Dp and then added some ribbons to hide the seam . I then stamped 2010 using the new Bling 'Bers set and cut them out. They were then attached to a white panel, which was layered with Cool Caribbean, Regal Rose and Pumpkin Pie. At the last minute, I decided to add brads to each "hole". It took some time, but I like it all shiny and stuff!!LOL!! The book itself is pretty simple, but SO MUCH PRETTIER!!!

Well, that is it for me now!! The next stop on the hop is Amy's Blog. Have fun and happy shopping!!

Clearly Sentimental-All About Emerson

Hey everyone and welcome to another day of teasers from My Favorite Things. I took the day off yesterday, but I am back today with sample from the AWESOME new Clearly Sentimental About Emerson set. I am in love with the wonderful and inspirational sentiments in this set. I decided to go simple...well, simple for me, and it took me FOREVER, lol!! I don't know why, but when I try to go the simple route with a card, it always ends up taking me a lot longer to get it done.

For my card, I used Riding Hood Red, Certainly Celery, and So Saffron CS. The DP is from My Mind's Eye and is part of a Glitter Stack that I bought at Hobby Lobby. All my ribbons are from SU, as well as my brads. I used the small star punch to make a celery star to attach to my sentiment and did a bunch of piercing. Simple and to the point, but seriously, it is SHAMEFUL how long this card took me.
Well, that is it for me again today. Be sure to head back to Kim's Blog to see what other Design Team members are peeking from this set today. I am sure they all have some GORGEOUS samples for you to look at!! Tonight is our big release party from 8pm EST to 10pm EST in the member forum on Splitcoast Stampers, so be sure to join us there. At 10pm, when the sets go live, we will have our release party blog hop that you will NOT want to miss!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Pure Innocence Monday- My Umbrella

I am LOVING this month's new releases for the Pure Innocence line from My Favorite Things, and judging by the way all the already released images are ALWAYS out of stock, I am guessing you all do too!! Today, I decided to feature on of the 5 sets to be released, My Umbrella. I LOVE this cute little girl, and this card is actually already on it's way to my best friend Riley. She lost her job on New Year's Eve, and has been in a funk....I want her to know it will be okay.

For my card, I stamped my image on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored it in with my Copics. I then cut it, and it's layers out with my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. The layers are Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, and Regal Rose. My DP is from the Georgia Peach DSP pack, and is one of my favorites. I LOVE this layout, and haven't used it for a while, so I decided to use it today. It is clean, and pretty simple, and I get to use lots of DP, which makes me happy!!All my ribbons, are from SU, and I did some piercing on the DP panels. The spiral clips are from Joanne's.

For the inside, I stamped my sentiment on a piece of Gina K. White, and used some more of the Georgia Peach DP. It is pretty simple, but I love the way it looks.
Well, that is it for me now. Are you getting excited about the release?? I sure am!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Teasers Day 2- Who's That Chocoholic

Hello everyone, and welcome to day two of this month's My Favorite Things release teasers. Today I have TWO sets to show you that EVERY girl will love!! The main set is a new Who's That Girl? mini set called Who's That Chocoholic. It will be released at 10pmEST on the 6th of January, so be sure to mark your calendars. The other set is called Clearly Sentimental About Chocolate, and it is AWESOME!! All the sentiments are PERFECT for the chocoholic in your life.

For my card, I started with Taylor's Sketch, which I flipped on it's side. My CS colors are Close To Cocoa, Pretty in Pink and Purely Pomegranate. The DP I used is from the retired SU Berry Bliss pack. I used my Cuttlebug to cut out the circle and it's layer, did a ton of piercing, and added my sentiment to the bottom corner. The brads are from SU, and the ribbons are from SU, except for the chocolate gingham, which came from Joanne's. My main image was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel and either colored with Copics, or paper pieced using more of the Berry Bliss DSP. I added a spiral clip with some ribbon, and it was done!!

The inside of my card features the new Clearly Sentimental set. I am LOVING this sentiment...basically because it totally sounds like something I would do JUST to get to mark something off my list. Usually, I put brush my teeth...I KNOW that's getting done, LOL!! For the inside, I used another piece of Berry Bliss DP, and a spiral clip with some more ribbon on it. Why oh why am I SO obsessed with these?? Who knows!!
Well, anyway, that is it for me now!! Be sure to head to KIM'S BLOG to check out what other design team members have peeks for you to ogle today!! Have fun and I will see you back here tomorrow!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Thinking Of Hoo- Let the Teasers Begin!!

Hey Everyone!! Hope your year is off to a WAY better start than mine. I had big(ish) plans for New Years, and about an hour into them started to get the most awful stomach ache. It kinda went downhill from there. I will spare you the details, but I will say it is SHOCKINGLY hard to convince your boss you are sick on New Year's Day without them assuming you are hungover...SHOCKINGLY hard. Anyway, that's not why you are here, right? Today we have started our teasers for this month's My Favorite Things release and I am SUPER excited!! Before I start to talk about my card, I wanted to say a huge CONGRATS to all the new DT members and all the returning ones as well. It has been an honor working for Kim and with her AMAZINGLY talented Design Team, and I am honored to be a part of it for another term. I look forward to getting to know the new members, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us!!

Now, onto my card!! I used the super cute Thinking of Hoo set that was part of the October Kit offered at MFT. I stamped the owl and branch(I masked out the conversation bubble) on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored it with my Copics. The hearts were then stamped and colored as well. I used my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties to cut out my main image and layers. The CS colors are Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose. My DP is from the MFT Chocolate Kiss pack. I ran my white Gina K. layer through my Cuttlebug with my Swiss Dots folder and did a ton of piercing. All my buttons are from the MFT Chocolate Kiss buttons pack. This is also my sample for this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges Polka Dot Challenge....fun stuff!!
Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to head to KIM'S BLOG to see what other DT members are featuring teasers using this set and some of our new Digi Images. Have fun!!

Happy New Year people!! Hope your 2010 is off to a ROCKIN start and your hangovers are tolerable and require little to no recovery time!! Today, My Favorite Things has some BIG news to share, so be sure to head on over to Kim's Blog to hear all the news!! Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this announcement...I for one am SUPER excited about it!!
While I have your attention, that is, if you are still here, I thought I would show you some of the presents I made for my nieces for Christmas. I made each of them a personalized notebook. They were all made using composition notebooks from the Dollar Store. Each was covered with designer paper, and then embellished accordingly. All images were stamped on MFT Perfect Panels and colored with my Copics. Each was then cut out using my Cuttlebug and either my Rectangle, Oval or Circle nesties. I will list the ingredients for each one after it's picture.

This first notebook was made for my niece Katelyn. I used the Fairy Girl image from the Pure Innocence line. I used DP from My Mind's Eye, and I used Cool Caribbean, Pumpkin Pie, and Regal Rose cardstock. The jewels are from Mark Richards. My ribbons are from SU and May Arts.

For Allie's notebook, I used the Apple For You image from the Pure Innocence line. Her name was made using the new Alphadots set. I used Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, and So Saffron Cardstock and ink. My ribbons and buttons were all from SU.

Makenzie's notebook was made using My Balloon and the Alphadots set as well. I used Pretty In Pink and Bashful Blue Cardstock and Ink and my DP from the Berry Bliss pack. All my ribbons are from SU as well as my brads.

For Jennifer's, I used my Flower Girl image, Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue cardstock, May Arts and SU ribbons, and Glitter Dots from Gina K.

For this last album, I used some Purely Pomegranate, Kiwi Kiss, and Regal Rose Cardstock and ink. My DP is from SU, as well as my buttons and ribbon. The image is Heart Stripes from the Pure Innocence line.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
