Rain, Rain, Go Away...

Seriously, I don't know about any of you, but I am SICK of rain!! I know it is great for the farmers, which I am surrounded by so that I am thankful for that...but come on!! I can't remember the last weekend we had without rain. I guess I shouldn't complain though. So far, it has been a pretty mild summer here in S. IL., with the exception of a week of VERY hot temps, KNOCK ON WOOD!!
For my card today, I decided to use the Rainy Day Friends set from Paper Pretties. It is now available in rubber, which means I need to get my order in!! I love clear stamps, but if I can have rubber..that is the way I go!! I don't know if it is because that is what I started with, and love, or what, but I still love them. What's funny is the fact that it is WAY easier to stamp with clear stamps, and they take up less space, but I just love the smell of new rubber!! Anywho, I stamped my Sophia from the Rainy Day Friends set on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then colored her in with my Copics. She was then cut out and embossed with my Cuttlebug. The colors on this card are So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. the DSP is from the Delicate Dots pack from SU. I stamped my sentiment directly on my DP with memento Tuxedo Black, and then added the brads from Hobby Lobby to the bottom and top corners. The ribbons are all from SU, and the spiral clip is from Joann's. I used a large white grommet from SU to put my ribbon through. Isn't it cute??
Well, that is it for me now!!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Hey Lady SFYTT

So, when I saw this weekend's Sketch For You to Try on Jen's blog, I knew what set I wanted to use with it immediately!! I have used this set in a few weeks, so I had been anxious to get it inky!! I started by stamping my chick from She's A Lady, from There She Goes, on an MFT Perfect Panel, as well as the bags. They were both colored in with Copics. I used my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties to make the shopping bag panel. The images are layered with Cameo Coral, Baja Breeze, and Kiwi Kiss. The DSP is from the Walk in the Park pack. My ribbons are both from SU as well, but the brads are from Hobby Lobby and the spiral clip is from Joann's. I did a bunch of piercing on this card too!! I used my SU oval punches to do my sentiment.
By the way, There she goes will be having a sale until the next stamp release. From today July 16th through July 25th you can receive 15% off of your entire purchase at the There She Goes website by entering the coupon code july09 in your shopping cart prior to check out. Not only that but Jessica has also discounted the price of the TSG Double Stamp Scrubber! So, now you can get one for only $7.00! These prices are only good as supplies last :)
Well, that is it for me for now, thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day!!

Pampered Bunny Sketch

Since it is Thursday, it is time for another My Favorite Sketch, and My Favorite Challenge to be announced. You know I LOVE a good challenge, and this weeks are no exception!! For my card, I used this week's MFT Sketch. It was drawn up by the INCREDIBLE Frances!! I started by stamping 3 of my bottles on an MFT Perfect Panel, then I colored them with my Copics. They were then popped up on my squares, made with my SU punches. The white is Gina K. White, and the base is Old Olive. I used my Sakura Stardust glitter pen to add some sparkle to the bubbles on the box. The DP is from the Green Tea DSP, and the colors are Baja Breeze, Old Olive, and Certainly Celery. My Ribbons are all from SU, and the brads are from Hobby Lobby. The clip came from Joann's.
Well, that is it for now!! I will be back later with a card for the MFC, hopefully!! Thanks for stopping by!

A Triple Challenge

Hey everyone, hope you are all having a BERRY good day, hehe! This is my card for today's My Favorite Things Challenge, to have texture on your card. This challenge runs until next Wednesday, along with the sketch challenge that I posted earlier. The winner will received a $10 in MFT Money(not good on Bubble Bin sets) for the MFT store, so you better get your entries in. For more details on how to enter, check out this thread in the MFT forum. I also made this card for yesterday's sketch and today's Ways To Use it challenge. The sketch is pretty self explanatory, but the way's to use it challenge was to use 2 of something on your card. So I used two strawberries from the new Feelin' Fruity set from MFT. It is SO CUTE!! I started by stamping my berry four times on an MFT perfect panel. I then colored two whole berries and just the stems on the other two. I cut out the whole berries, stems, and then connected the stems to the berries with a black brad. I added the seeds to the berries with a black marker. They were popped on an Gina K. White layer that had been cut out with my Cuttlebug, along with it's Old Olive layer. The berries were then covered with Crystal Effects to add dimension to them. My DP is from the SU Summer Picnic pack, and I paired it with Bashful Blue, Real Red, and Old Olive. All the ribbons are from SU, and the spiral clips and brads are from Joann's.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by!

Prettie Wednesday-Making a Background

So, I think I may have cheated on this one, but I don't know!! Two weeks ago, Danielle challenged us to make our own backgrounds using something around our house. I chose to do a technique my SU upline taught me years ago....unfortunately, I didn't remember ALL the important rules, but I do like the end result!! I started by taking my Dad's shaving cream and putting some on a paper plate, then I took my Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry reinkers and put a few drops of each on top of it. I then took a paintbrush and swirled the color in. I apparently went a little heavy on the Melon Mambo, but oh well!! You then take a piece of glossy cardstock and place it glossy side down on the cream. Pull it up, wipe off the excess(I used a paper towel) and viola...a swirly background. Now you are asking, where is it. Well, I made it, then put it on my card and proceeded to cover it all up, LOL!! It is the bright pink panel behind the main image. I think if you click on the picture you will be able to see it better, but no guarantees!!
For my main image, I stamped my Give Thanks Sophia from Paper Pretties on an MFT Perfect Panel and a piece of Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. Her dress was paper pieced, and then I colored the whole image with my Copics. She is layered with Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry. All the ribbons are from SU and the brads are from Hobby Lobby, and the Spiral Clips are from Joann's.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the other Prettie's have done for this challenge!!

Two Nights in a Row.....I KNOW!!

Yep, you heard me right, this is my SECOND night in a row using SU only!! Wahoo...I will say, I am missing my spiral clips a tad...wouldn't one look so cute up in the corner? I think so, but in an effort to keep it all SU, I left it off!! I even went as far as to color my twill tape with my Barely Banana marker to make it match..yep, I rule. It ended up really dark though, don't know why, but I still like it. My image was even colored with SU markers, which do NOT blend like my Copics, but I worked it out. I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the sprinkles on the cupcake and the flame...cute huh!! All images, punches, and embellishments are from SU. I made this card for today's Color Challenge-Barely Banana, Lavender Lace, and Basic Black. They also said we could use gray, but I just put some with my Cool Grey Copic under the image...I know, I cheated a little, but it NEEDED it, LOL!!
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Let's Get Hopping-Bubble Bunny

Hi, and welcome to this month's mid-month My Favorite Things release HOP!! The hop started at Kim's blog, so be sure to go there to get started. If you are here now, you should have come from Jody's fabulous blog. You back? Good!!
This month we have a SUPER cute new Bubble Bath Flopsey for you....isn't it SWEET!! I LOVE that we finally got Flopsey in a bath tub!! For my card, I started by stamping my image on an MFT Perfect Panel twice. I then colored one completely, and just the tub on the other. I then cut out just the tub, and then cut out the whole image using the out of the box technique. The second tub was then popped up on top of the other tub to give it some dimension. It was layered with Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink. I did some piercing, added crystal effects to the tub, and then added some Icicle stickles to the bubbles. The DP is from the Chocolate Kiss collection from MFT. I used SU oval punches to do my sentiment, and the Pretty in Pink layer was run through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. My brads are from Hobby Lobby and the ribbon is from SU.
Well, that is it for me now!! The next stop on the hop is Frances' blog!! Get to hopping and have fun!!

Parisian Harvest-MFTeaser!!

So, I am back today with another MFT teaser, and yes, I am using my new FAVORITE Annie LaPoint image, again!! I just can't get over how GORGEOUS it is!! Seriously, it is amazing, and SO FUN to color!! I started out by stamping my image on an MFT Perfect Panel, and then I colored it using my Copics. I then cut it out with my Circle Nestabilities and layered it with Bravo Burgundy. I stamped my sentiment directly onto my circle. For the base, I took Bravo Burgundy, So Saffron, and Pink Pirouette and layered them. Next, I put a piece of Gina K. White, and then used 4 square pieces of Parisian Summer DSP. The ribbon is from May Arts, and my brads are some that I bought at Hobby Lobby. I got asked the other day about my piercing and the answer is yes, I do use a template. I use the Mat Pack from Stampin Up as my template, except for circles and ovals. For those, I emboss my shape, since they are always cut out with my Cuttlebug, and then follow the embossed line free hand. Sometimes I am a little off, but I don't mind!!
Don't forget to come back tonight for the mid month HOP around the blogasphere!! Also, since it is MFT's 3yr anniversary, all the Bubble Bin sets are on sale for $3 this week, that is a HUGE savings, so you better get there and quick!! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!

SU ONLY!!WAHOOOO!!!

Yep, you heard me right, I FINALLY got to use an SU stamp!! It's not that I don't have plenty of opportunities, I just always seem to grab other stuff...well, not tonight!! I actually used ALL current merchandise too...but almost screwed it all up(it's always the DP that gets me)!! I am so bad about keeping up with what is current and what isn't, but I am hoping that with SU going back to one a year catalogs, that I won't have that problem anymore...wish me luck!!LOL!! Anywho, this is my card for today's Technique Lover's Challenge. It was to make a faux grid. I stamped my image from the SU Ever After set on a piece of Whisper White, and drew my grid with my Basic Black stamping write marker. I then colored the image with my makers, ink pads, and a blender pen. I used some Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, and paired it with Old Olive and Melon Mambo. The ribbon is white organza from SU, and the brads are from SU as well. I used a sentiment from Sincere Salutations, and punched it out with my scalloped oval punch. My layout is also today's Mojo Monday sketch!
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Little Paper Shop Monday

Hello everyone, and welcome BACK!! This card is my entry for this week's Little Paper Shop weekly blog challenge. This week's challenge was another sketch, and you KNOW how much I love those!! I started it by stamping my Topiary image on an MFT Perfect Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black. It was then colored in with my Copics. The image was then layered with Perfect Plum, Eggplant Envy, and Always Artichoke. My white layer is Gina K. 80lb. white, and the DP is from the VERY retired Cambridge DSP from SU. All the brads are from Hobby Lobby, and the ribbon is from SU. I did some piercing, and then slightly altered the sketch by adding my sentiment panel. It was punched out with my SU oval punches.
Be sure to check out the LPS blog for more details and to see peeks of their new sets..I am LOVING them!!
