Prettie Wednesday-3x3 with Buttons

Two weeks ago, Christi challenged the Prettie Girls to make a 3x3 card, but we also had to use buttons. I wanted to use this SUPER cute Make A Splash Sophia stamp from Paper Pretties. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored it in with my Copic markers. I then cut and embossed the image and the Kiwi Kiss layer with my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. My ribbon and buttons are from SU. The card base is Riding Hood Red. Sorry for the short post. My Mom bought my nieces a playground and my Dad and I, along with their father, spent 8hrs putting it together on Sunday. My sunscreen wore off at some point during the day, and I have a WICKED sunburn. It seriously hurts to turn my head...so sad!! I am usually pretty smart about that kind of stuff, but I was so into helping with the GINORMOUS playground, that I forgot to reapply. I am definitely paying for it now!!
Be sure to check out what the other Pretties have created for this challenge!! Thanks and have a great day!

Picnics are a Moveable Feast

Hey everyone, Happy Tuesday!! Today I have another My Favorite Things card that I made for the release for you to see!! I used a Mojo Monday sketch from a few weeks ago and the new Let's Picnic set. I am LOVING this new set, and the DT has TOTALLY rocked all the samples for this release. I am DYING to make something else with my new favorite, The Poppies!
Anywho, I decided to use the Mojo sketch from a few weeks ago, so I knew I needed a circular image. I stamped the picnic basket and grapes directly on my MFT Perfect Panel. I then stamped the wine bottle and bread separately. All the images were colored with my Copics, and then the bread and wine were but out and added to the panel. The main circle and the Chocolate Chip layer were cut out using my Circle Nestabilities. I used some Nana's Nursery DP from DCWV and some Hawaiian Papaya DSP from SU. for the background. The other colors on this are Lavender Lace and Cool Caribbean. The Chocolate Chip ribbon is from SU, and the Lavender organdy is also from SU but is retired. I got the pearls in the mail from my friend Kathy(Wattle), thanks girl!! They are by Kaiser and are chocolate. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom, although it is a little hard to see in this picture. It says, Picnics are a Movable Feast.
Well, that is it for me today, be sure to head over to the MFT member forum to see what all is going on in the MFT world and to participate in our weekly challenges...there is still a little time! While you are at it, have you checked out the AMAZING sets in the Bubble Bin this week? Don't know what the bubble bin is yet, well it is a special section the MFT website where Kim will have some AMAZING sets on sell for one week only!! Some will retire, some will go back to regular price...but no matter what, you can't beat the prices!! Check it out here!!
Thanks and have a great day!!

I didn't get a chance to make a card for this challenge, but I do have some Little Paper Shop goodness to show you. I made this card as one of my samples for the release, but I never got to show it. It was made using the new Sugar set. I paired it with Some DP from the Nana's Nursery Baby Girl line. I used SU Certainly Celery and Pretty In Pink Cardstock. The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Copics. I then added glitter with a two way glue pen. The ribbons are all from SU, and the brads and clips are from Creative Express.
Well, that is it for me now, thanks for looking and have a great day!!

Wiggle Wiggle!!

Isn't this new Sophia from Paper Pretties ADORABLE!! Not only is she SUPAH cute, but this sentiment...You Put The Wiggle In My Hips.... ACKKK, TOO CUTE!! Aloha Sophia is our newest Stamp of the Month. Wanna know what the Stamp of the Month Club is? Basically, it is a hassle free subscription that will have one Sophia arriving in your mailbox a month!! Sounds good to me!!
My card today is one that I made for the Stamping In Your Jammies party challenge, to use a baby wipe technique. I used the striped wipe technique that was shown on SCS a while back. Basically, you take a baby wip and fold it to where you have a pretty thick edge(you want the edge that is not the ends of the sheet, kwim?) Then you take whatever colors of reinkers you want to use and put drops of them in the order you want on the crease. You then wipe them across glossy paper until they are blended. You have to let it dry for a bit, but I think it is so cool..especially for those of us that are brayer challenged. For my card, I wanted to create the illusion of a sunset over water...how'd I do?? I used Marigold Morning, then Barely Banana, Bashful Blue and then Pacific Point reinkers. My Sophia was then colored to match with my Copic markers. The DSP is from the Pink Flamingo pack, and although I know it is supposed to match Summer Sun, I really think it matches Marigold Morning(a retired In Color) PERFECT. Boy I am really missing my In Colors from the past here lately. If I don't watch it, I will run out!! YIKES(seriously though, I stocked up like it was Y2K, no worries yet)!! My ribbons and brads are from SU, and the sentiment was punched out using SU Oval Punches. My nephew was desperately trying to help me with this card, so we are lucky it turned out this well. As I am typing up this post(on Sunday evening-WOOT for being ahead!!), he is sleeping in my bed at home. I decided to let him spend the night with me so he could spend time with his Grandpa, and I honestly don't know who was more thrilled. TOO CUTE!! A good Aunt would have taken pictures of this first sleepover at Grandpa's...but alas, I did not...maybe I will in the morning...To Be Continued!!
That is it for me now, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Take Time For You

Can you tell that I love this layout?? I feel like I have used it a hundred times, but I still love it-especially for small images. My card today is from the There She Goes release from this past weekend. I am LOVING all the new sets and what the girls have done with them, how about you? I decided to use the new Rejuvenate set, cause I love it. It has lots of cutesy small images, which are perfect for my favorite layout. I stamped all three images on Gina K. White paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored them in with my Copics. They were then punched out using my SU square punch(1 1/4). The scalloped Old Olive squares are also from an SU punch. My colors on this card are Regal Rose, So Saffron, and Old Olive. The DP is from the SU Georgia Peach pack. My Ribbons are both from SU as well as the brads.
Well, that is it for me for now, thanks for stopping by!!

My card today is for this week's sketch challenge. I stamped my main image from the new Who's That Grillin Guy set on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored him in with my Copics. The steaks were stamped separately with Riding Hood Red ink and then cut out and added to the grill. The DSP is from the SU Washington Apple pack. Prettie Wednesday- Butterflies Flutterby

Two weeks ago, Miss Whimsical Butterfly herself-aka Jessica Diedrich-aka Pinkgirl76, challenged the Prettie Girls to make a card using Butterflies...shocking I tell you, lol!! I was going to go with the most obvious choice, to use Flutterby, but then I challenged myself to think outside the box. So instead of using the whole Flutterby image, I just used the butterfly she is holding to decorate my teapot from the Look Who's Perky set. I also added some punched butterflies using my Martha Stewart Butterfly punch. The colors came from my Raspberry Tart DSP. I used it for the DP on the base, as well as to punch out my butterflys. I added some Mark Richards Bling to them as well. Their antenas were drawn in with a black marker. The ribbons are all from SU, and the spiral clip is from Creative Express. All images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and were colored in with my Copics. The colors on this card are Kiwi Kiss, Cameo Coral, and Rose Red.
Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to blurf around and check out the other Pretties creations!!

Okay, now that that is all settled, lets talk about my projects. I have to say, that this may have been the most time consuming thing I have ever done, but I LOVE it!! I started out with raw wood stars from the craft section at Wal-mart. I then sanded them down(just the rough spots) and painted them with a white Acrylic Paint for crafting. This is the part that took the longest. I put three coats on before I was happy with the coverage, and it took a while for them to dry. After they had dried over night. I used different pieces of Rockabilly DSP from SU to cover them. I just traced the star on the backside and cut them out. I adhered them to the stars using Modge Podge. I then sanded the edges to give it a frayed look. The main images all came from the new Stephanie Fizer set, The Poppies. I stamped each image on a MFT Perfect Panel using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored them in with my Copics. If you are wondering, I didn't use green on Taylor's because she HATES green. Her favorite color is actually purple so I colored her pants purple, but I wanted them all to match, so I stuck with the Riding Hood Red and Black. The images and their layers were then cut out using my Cuttlebug, Circle Nesties, and Oval Nesties. I stamped all my cutie pie skull images separately and cut them out after coloring them. I added music notes to the main image panels(they are stamps in the set too) and on the stars. I then used some screw hooks that I got in the hardware department at Wal-mart and added them to the tops of the stars, and then two to the bottoms. On the top hook, I added a bow using SU ribbons, and some May Arts ribbon. For the bottom hooks, I decided to add a name plaque. They were made using Black and Riding Hood Red CS. The letters, from the MFT Bling Bet, were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black, Riding Hood Red, and Kiwi Kiss ink. I then cut them all out and arranged them on the panel. The ribbon that is used to hang them, and as the hanger at the top is from the SU Valet Ribbon Originals. I sure hope my girls will love them as much as I do...if not, I am totally keeping them!! I just hope their mom doesn't let them play with them....YIKES!! If you have any questions about these, just send me an email and I will try to answer them!!

Now, it is time for you to get moving on!! Hop to FRANCES' BLOG to see what she has in store for you!!

Who's That Grillin' Guy Teaser!!

Hey everyone, welcome back, AGAIN!! I don't know about you, but I am LOVING this month's My Favorite Things release. I think the fact that we are releasing another Who's That Guy set is what has me so giddy...and the Who's That Girl, and the new Stephanie Fizer...oiy, I just LOVE them all!! Anywho, today's sample was made using the new Who's That Grillin' Guy? set. I started out by stamping him on a MFT Perfect Panel and then coloring him in with my Copics. I layered him with Pacific Point, and Kiwi Kiss. The DP is from the Muirfield DSP from SU. I stamped all my hamburgers separately and then colored and cut them out. I added some shine to my spatula using a Silver Gel Pen. The ribbons are from SU, and the brads and clips are from Creative Express. I stamped the Kiss The Cook on his apron and then added the sentiment to the bottom DSP panel. The sketch is one from a last week on SCS.
That is it for me for now!! Be sure to be back here tonight for the release day blog hop where I will have, in my opinion, one of the CUTEST SETS EVER made to show you!! Trust me, you don't want to miss it! Thanks and have a great day!

Little Paper Shop Monday Challenge

Hello again and welcome to this week's Little Paper Shop Monday Challenge. This is my third post of the day, so be sure to scroll through all of them to see all my other goodies!!

For this week's challenge, Allison drew up this super cute sketch for us. I started by stamping my candy jar, sentiment, and piece of candy from the new Sweet set, on a piece of Gina K. White. I then colored it with my Copics and layered it with Cool Caribbean, Summer Sun, and Riding Hood Red. The ribbon is from SU, and the brads are from Creative Express(bought at Hobby Lobby). The red strips were run through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. I used my SU oval punches for the sentiment.
Wanna play along? Just upload your creation to whichever gallery you want using the LPSC18 keyword. Then be sure to go to the Little Paper Shop blog and leave a link to your creation. The winner will get two free digital images!!
Thanks again for stopping by, have a great day!
